Olog-hai October 27th, 2006, 02:15 PM Is there such a thing... service center for helmet? rimshot October 27th, 2006, 02:52 PM You can buy spare shields at caloocan area. There's lots of em there. Regarding your helmet, if it's been badly dented/scraped or suffered a significant amount of shock (assuming it has, coz you damaged the shield pretty bad), you need to replace it. It has served its purpose and saved your head from injury. If you're doubtful about my suggestion, you can always send the helmet back to manufacturer for inspection. And, NO, there's no such thing as a helmet "service" center only spare parts supply (shield, vents, interior padding, rubber parts, etc). Helmet manufacturers usually just dispose of the "used/damaged" helmet. NSCB October 27th, 2006, 03:10 PM if your faceshield got scratched but not because of a spill...then by all means replace it...otherwise...replace the whole helmet.... chubaka November 22nd, 2006, 06:33 AM Yes, most definetly! if you've stressed the helmet with a crash, the styrofoam inside has soaked the damage, as a one time thing. It really is useless to continue using it if you've damaged the outside. Also, Arai only warrantes it's helmet for 5 years, and after it's been damaged, the warranty is gone. Anyways, here's a list of parts: http://www.araihelmet-europe.com/php/page/parts_ff.htm No such thing as service center. only online places to buy accessories. Actually Arai gave the order for authorized stores not to sell online anymore. So, you'll have to buy it at a store, which raises prices. The corsair sells for $600+ for a corsair in black, but on ebay can be found new for about $15o less... dawghaus14 November 22nd, 2006, 12:14 PM ok thanks guys! this one doesnt have any damage on the styro..only some scratches outside and a wrecked visor.anyway thanks again! greazyraider November 22nd, 2006, 02:26 PM ok thanks guys! this one doesnt have any damage on the styro..only some scratches outside and a wrecked visor.anyway thanks again! There's no way of telling if the helmet is damaged or not just by looking at it. if the scratches came from a crash, there's been impact damage already. Suggest you change the helmet. |
