Rene Ybardolaza November 18th, 2003, 12:13 AM I don't think a helmet would have save that poor accident victim. A few years ago, on her way to work, my secretary witnessed a motorcyclist fall off the bike, after getting side swiped by a car. The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, then got run over the head by a truck who could not stop quickly enough. The end result was the same below. The helmet is the most important safety equipment we can wear, but its ability to protect is not all encompassing. It is better to depend on what's inside the helmet to protect us. Ride smart.
Wolver888 November 18th, 2003, 01:27 AM Uhuh, helmet protects us .... but of course in a limited level, if it surpasses that level of worstness way way off .... Im sure any best helmet won't help.......Say riding recklessly.
So ....... RIDE SAFE bros, its not really a protective gear but a way of protection.... SAFETY :)
SVince650S November 18th, 2003, 01:51 AM Proper gear can minimize injuries... they will not save you from extreme accidents.
Geez.... I've also lost my appetite. But if you want the message to get across... I guess there's no better way than that photo.
RiderDriver November 18th, 2003, 03:02 AM if he was wearing a helmet, there would have been a chance that it would bounce off to the side like a marble rather than having his head crushed like that. But then again, what would happen to the rest of his body. Kadiri, parang tiniris na pimple.
