same with me sir. kaya kahit medyo low end na body armor bumili ako, iba na ang mayron kaysa wala, saka knee protector.

i see a lot of riders fully geared up.. and i am happy to see that they are responsible for their safety. like Speedmaniac and Zeke, i also have respect for these people as i see them as setting a good example to fellow riders and future riders for that matter.

i also see a lot of riders without helmets.. and i see negligence on their part and no respect for the law or their own safety..

on the road, i for one only use a open face helmet and knuckled leather gloves for my protection but thats my choice.. i ride defensively and feel restricted using full gears when on my motor bike..
i use protective gears when on my BMX... );-D>

kahangahanga!!! kasi talagang aware sya sa safety meassures sa pag ride. lalu na pag naka full gear sya, talaga namang mapapahanga ka dahil porma talaga. nag tataka lang ako kung tama ba ang pagsout ng sheen guard ba tawag dun??? please correct me if im wrong, parang pangit tignan pag sa labas ng pants nakakabit??? pero ganun ba talaga ang pag gamit nun? wala pa kasi ako nun eh... nag tatanong lang po....

most mc riders i see wear knee/shin guards outside their pants. pero for me i wear sometimes inside kasi maluwag pantalon ko e. minsan outside na pag nasuot ko na agad ang pants. same with elbow guards nasa loob ng jersey.

I used my Knee/Shin guards outside my pants if my pants kinda tight a lil bit but if it is loose I used it inside my pants.

I have great respect for those riders who used safety gears like helmets, Knee/shin and elbow protectors and body armor.

Body armor na lang kulang ko and another set of Knee/Shin and elbow protectors for my wife pag nagback ride wifey ko.

for me it depends, kapag slacks ang suot kong pants nasa loob ang shin/knee guard ko kase malulukot yung slacks na pants. pero kapag maong ang suot ko eh nasa labas ang shin/knee guard.

may disadvantage sa akin kapag nasa loob ang shin/knee guard,
minsan makati or nagkakarashes ang balat ko.

first impression syempre he's thinking of his safety! kasi sa tuwing sasakay tau ng tormots natin parang gyera ang pinupuntahan natin! mga kalaban ay mga cagers pasaway na mga PUV's at mga PEDS (ung iba lang ha). its like a war out there kaya kailangan full battle gear. for me save money muna for that konti konti lang, nagagalit si misis nahihirapan daw syang mag budget hihihiihih

i guess demographics & sub cultures play a vital role in this also. i mean, having/wearing the necessary protective gears & stuffs.

dito sa probinsya kase namin, motorcycles are in the infancy yet of becoming a hobby. people here, in general, are not conscious of safety gears because for one, they must believe that everything from one point to the other is near, hence, they seem to care less of wearing safety gears. and when they do, people ( i must admit) are awe strucked. why? because they are not used to seeing power ranger-looking riders. probinsya talaga. on the riders' side naman, nahihiya silang mag full-gear kase nga pinagtitinginan (o pinagtatawanan) sila ng mga tao. even friends & groupies share with the kantyawan also. helmets, jackets & gloves have been an accepted gears in sight but shin guards, knee pads & elbow pads are still objects of giggles.

i must admit i still have an incomplete safety gear set. and the above have a strong influence on it. i do have helmets, gloves & jackets, though. and i religiously wear them...

nope, i honestly don't have an itch to smile seeing someone with a full-gear on while riding. nakakainggit nga eh...

I definitely agree with kicker2.....in a place where most mc riders don't even bother to wear helmets...these things are so "out-of-this-world" to them. most people here are yet to learn a lot about being safety concious....i do wear my (Certified) helmet, Armored jackets, gloves, denims and boots everyday...yet even MC riders gives me the stare...

but if ever i see another rider here in full-battle gears...he or she will definitely get my respect.....

ako din mcp forumer/member pagnakakita ako ng rider na nka full protectors, at kahit yung mga decent ang mga armour mcp agad nasa isip ko, humahanga ako at meron instant respect para sa mga responsible riders. i wish magaya ko din sila araw araw, minsan kase di ko na lagay knee shin guard ko eh, helmet,gloves, pants, shoes,jacket lang ako daily

awesome, i have only seen a couple here in Cebu...most are just wearing common clothes (office uniforms, denim jackets, shorts, T-shirts and anything ordinary). As for me, just like everyone else but extra cautious--I wear a novelty helmet, jacket, gloves, boots, goggles, mask (sometimes balaclava) and denim pants.

Napapalingon ako pag may nakaka salubong ako na naka full gear i wish na ako rin ganun so after a few months ako naman yung tinitignan i always wearing my full gear also everytime na papasok ako sa work... Ride Safe Guys!

I feel excited kapag naka kita akong kapwa rider na naka full-gear. Iniisip ko kasi malayo ang pupuntahan niya or mag-te-trail siya kung naka enduro setup or xrm siya and the like. Actually mas-saludo or bilib ako sa mga nag-fu-full gear kasi maliban sa meron silang perang pambili na napakamahal na gears at gwapong gwapo ang dating at iniisip nila ang SAFETY nila sa daan. Bilib din ako kasi responsible rider sila.:)

im very glad to see a fellow masked rider on the road on a normal everyday. at least some riders are more responsible than the usual. salute to those who value themselves, their families and others with proper gears and of course responsible riding:clap:

kapag nakakakita ako ng isang fully geared na rider ay gumagaan ang pakiramdam ko kasi may example ng reponsible and safety concious na rider. Isa lang ang sumasagi sa isip ko.. MCPF Member yun.

Riders on full gears are sensible. They value life the most. Its not the looks that counts, its the other side of safety that it offers. Masakit magkatocino. Kami nga gloves, helmet, knee, shin guard, elbow pad lang, minsan makikita mong natatawa yung iba, siguro sa isip nila oa tong mga ito. Pero para sa akin, balat ko naman ang kikiskis sa kalsada kong sakali, hindi sa kanila. So why bother di ba?
