View Full Version : Bike ran over by a truck
rommel November 11th, 2003, 05:39 AM Peeps,
Last Saturday a truck driver ran over my friend's bike. The truck dragged the bike for more or less 200 meters until the bike caught fire and burned the truck as well.
It all happened when the truck bumped the rear of the bike, the rider went down to show the driver the damage he has done but instead of saying sorry he put his truck in gear and ran the bike over. The rider managed to hold on to the truck while it was dragging the bike and was able to catch the drive when it tried to run away when the truck caught fire.
Here are some pics...
rommel November 11th, 2003, 05:44 AM As you can see the bike is a total wreck... in the Philippines drivers do not go wild.... they are already wild....
rommel November 11th, 2003, 05:47 AM The truck is owned by Pasig Rizal Lumber, what bothers me is that after we went to the precint to take the statements of both the driver and the rider.... the truck was removed and the remains of the bike was nowhere to be found. Here is a pic of the burned truck...
rommel November 11th, 2003, 05:54 AM A reminder to riders, always have your camera ready... you would not know when you will need it. In this case good thing I brought mine for both the truck and the bike dissappeared in a matter of minutes after we left the scene.
At any rate, I was just glad to see my friend safe. I just hope that justice will prevail for it seems the owners are powerful in this parts. Even in the precint the driver is being coached on what to say even with the investigator already questioning the driver on what happened.
For my friend... at long last you wil get a chance to upgrade.... Have one nice look on the truck and the bike...
CaMoTe!!!
rls November 11th, 2003, 06:29 AM It is always a good idea to bring your digicam as additional evidence.
KaZmuT November 11th, 2003, 07:42 AM or get one of those disposable cams and put it on your bag or something. atleast when you do encounter some loitering viva hot babes, you can take a photo souvenir.
Rene Ybardolaza November 11th, 2003, 10:14 AM That driver is fit to be tied in a back of a truck and dragged a couple of hundred meters.
wasted_23 November 11th, 2003, 10:21 AM dapat pati ung mga police na nagdidikta dun sa p#*@&+nang driver na un kasuhan din! :I
Wolver888 November 11th, 2003, 10:13 PM Rommel, what kind of bike was run over ... i'm sure your friend will have a new bike.
Sana nakatikim din ng kamao yung driver.
rommel November 12th, 2003, 05:47 AM Yung bike is a GPZ 400, e pano pa mbabanatan yung driver tatanungin nga lang di na namin magawa kasi dami ng nakapaligid na alipores ng me ari ng Pasig Rizal Lumber, me mga baril pa sa bewang.... baka pulis-pulisan
Di pa ko updated sa kaso but alam ko nag-file na ng formal complaint against dun sa driver.
Ingat na lang mga 'tol!
Rene Ybardolaza November 12th, 2003, 06:15 AM I recommend that your friend also go after the owner of the truck who employs the driver. The owner is more likely able to pay for the damages vs. the driver.
rommel November 12th, 2003, 08:34 AM Thanks for the reminder Rene, the owner is a rich man that is why I told my friend that he should go for a new 600 sport if ever they will try to negotiate.
If not, then just sue their asses off!!!
