HELP!

I wanted to buy a full-face helmet but I can't find the right size for me. I am a small guy and according to most helmet manufacturers, I belong to the "small" size 'coz i only have a 56 cm or 22 inches head circumference. Where can I find that size especially here in Cebu City or where can I order a fast one? Most stores only sell the "medium size" helmet. I have tried to fit a medium sized HJC helmet and its ok. However it looks so big on me and I look stupid. I am also planning to stick on that brand. Any suggestions...

Measure the circumference of your head using a flexible measuring tape. Please wrap the measuring tape around your head at approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) above your eyebrows and ears.

Then use this measurement to refer to the sizing chart in the url below. This measurement will serve as a starting point for helmet sizing.

zvike,

Most DOT/SNELL helmets I've seen does really have big shells which will make petite people like us look weird. You'll look like an alien or a mushroom. :D

I've got a small helmet (Fulmer), but the shell looks practically of the same size as the medium one. It seem that they have adjusted the inside to make it fit, not the shell itself.

Happy hunting. :)

What model of HJC did you try? Here in Manila there are stocks of small size HJC's. Do you have a model or design in mind? Small size has smaller shells in recent models.

hi zvike. i also had the same problem. i'm 5-9 and weights 145lbs when i bought my first helmet. it was a cl-10. the shell is big and the sizing differs only in the padding inside. i basically looked like an outers space with a big head. but if looks is ur concern. u can compensate it with wearing jacket so the helmet wouldnt look that big. older HJC FG models have smaller shells but thinner foams. newer models have bigger shells and thicker foam. one piece of advice is whether u have a big or small shell, ur helmet should not be loose, instead snug fit. as in fit. dont sacrifice safety for aesthetics :)

highside, musta pre? i've emailed HJC USA and they are soon to release a new helmet that will have twin top vents just like the ARAI RX7RR. altho nex year pa ata ilalabas ito. what models are you saying that has smaller shells?

You should be okay if you base it on the chart Burnout posted.

My son was only able to find his size from HJC. These guys stock most if not all sizes. He was able to get a kids motocross and size small of their full face helmet CL10.
AGV has the smallest medium size I have ever tried.

Hope you find your size.
