View Full Version : Bike week in 2004 XRMMM November 2nd, 2003, 08:56 AM Does anyone know if there will be a bike week in 2004? reekee98 November 2nd, 2003, 08:59 AM 99% no.....1% yes...That's my opinion bodick November 2nd, 2003, 06:50 PM hey guys, yes, i think der s bikeweek 2004. someone called me about this last oct. 31 n they r preparing n planning for it. i think their first move is to settle unpaid booth last bikeweek 2003? i told them to evaluate d bike week 2003...there r lots of this...n lots of that... away dito, away doon. tamang hinala dito, tamang hinala doon. i myself has complaint too. binalewala ng host ung ibang deligate... sama ng loob ko...i even got some complaint from tuguegarao when i ride there last june 2003. sana iba naman humawak o planstahin mabuti...ganda naman yan kung well planned, well organized, well headed n well controlled... cguro this time purely bike week lang kc ang convention sa cebu...it seems NCR RIDING MC N NEARBY might join. mukhang less politics to...sana d magabok...he he he... (ang nasabing pangungusap ay aking paniniwala at pinaniniwalaan gayun din naman bukas sa ibang upinyong mayroong lohika at etika) Wolver888 November 3rd, 2003, 02:52 AM Originally posted by XRMMM Does anyone know if there will be a bike week in 2004? Bike week in 2004 is still possible if not being controlled by people who discriminate other types/sizes of bikes. wasted_23 November 3rd, 2003, 07:42 AM Originally posted by Wolver888 Bike week in 2004 is still possible if not being controlled by people who discriminate other types/sizes of bikes. "all for one, one for all!"... gandang motto nyan :D Frank Woolf November 3rd, 2003, 10:02 AM Bike Week 2003 was supposed to be for ALL bikes and in fact the motorcade was far more scooters than big bikes but for various reasons it didn't work out. I believe that while the MDMC decision to have only MDMC members on the committee to avoid politics was basically sound the event could have been much more successful if leaders in the community like Jojo Medina and Jake Swann were on the organizing committee. wrong wolf November 3rd, 2003, 10:23 AM in my opinion, bike week 2004 should just be that: bike week 2004. wala na dapat national convention. tignan mo nangyari dun sa bike week 2003, nasapawan ng convention. it was more of a convention event rather than a bike week. many of those who were not part of the convention (that is, they did not pay the hefty fee for the convention) but who wanted to attend bike week felt slighted because they couldn't get their bikes in. kailangan daw e iwan sa labas para may space para sa mga mag-attend ng convention. bike week nga e. part of the enjoyment is attending the affair with your bike. kasama dapat yung bike! i think this was one of the issues that was air after the event. tukayo November 3rd, 2003, 03:42 PM I hope that Bike Week would be somewhat the same as the annual TransShow we have here. If our aim is to educate the non-biking public of the safetiness of bikes and about equal rights on the road, then a very good venue would be in the malls where there are lots of people. With last years Bike Week, the venue is accessible mostly to those with bikes or cars. My 4 yr old is crazy about bikes, but I couldn't take him to The Fort because it's too far. I believe this would also encourage cycle shop owners to participate in the exhibit. Just a simple suggestion that hopefully will be considered. Dec November 6th, 2003, 09:25 PM just make it fun... motorcycles are meant to be fun... let's not forget that... :D wrong wolf November 8th, 2003, 07:04 AM that's right! let's make it fun. problem is, different people have different ideas of what constitutes for fun.... wasted_23 November 24th, 2003, 04:41 PM set aside their differences then, just kiss and make up! it's a wonderful world if we'll only take a closer look:) b0gart January 6th, 2004, 11:49 AM Any news here? When? Where? Dec February 6th, 2004, 10:22 PM I dont think there is one... boromir February 7th, 2004, 03:09 PM i think there should be another Bike Week this year,in order for motorcyclists to unite and forget politics in the biking community, leave the politics to the politicians. to improve what the first Bike week lack and continue to upgrade our lbiking community.(my2cents) Mabuhay! Frank Woolf February 8th, 2004, 10:33 AM The recent PSF convention in Subic was a great success with over 1,200 mostly scooters and underbones. I just got back an hour ago from the 1st Pampanga Bike Meet which was equally successful. At least 1,200 riders of bikes of all sizes registered and there were many more who did not register. In March we have the Cebu convention which again welcomes ALL types of bikes. I think we already have our "Bike Week" events but they are different names organised by different people. Some of these organisers are doing it for the first time and doing it very sucessfully. Next year and even later this year I believe there will be some truly epic events. elgatonegro May 9th, 2004, 05:50 PM more power to all bikers. CIty driving is fun but BIKING around in the province is more FUN. |
