guys tanong ko lang what your reason why you bought your helmet??? cos for some it looks good, the decals on it etc. some naman price, exclusivity, safety, tell me your reasons and does the brand really matter???at saka one thing ive noticed is that some people tend to buy helmets that dont pass dot and snell standard they buy it because of the graphics and colors cos it matches thier bike. me ive got just two helmets one is a caberg v2 with dual visor and schuberth concept. why i bought the caberg cause for the price its good enough got it on sale sa ebay 70 euro including postage tapos review ng bike mags which gave it a good one plus ang visor sa loob ng helmet kasi mas sunny sa atin its useful contra glare at kung i open mo ang outer shield while driving ok na ang visor sa loob di ka mapupuwing, schuberth naman kasi sa mga modulars i think it could be one of the best mabigat nga lang compared to other brands most motorcycle riding policemen sa europe( ireland pala me ngayon) use this brand so i decided to get one of this if thier govt decked them out on this then its good.

i presently have a Caberg downtown for city ride and AGV GP-Pro for touring.[bought it at J&S Motorcycle Clothing]

i'm presently divided between choosing of buying an Arai Tour X Mx hybrid or a Shoei V-Moto Hornet pulse to use for my road quad.

all i can say is...buy the best helmet your money can afford.

on choosing a helmet....kapag me nagustuhan akong lid when it comes to looks..browse ko lang sa internet if it had been reviewed by 3 ndependent companies in terms of safety,features,value for money,comfort and build.

kung pumasa at highly recommended nilang lahat and ok pati presyo...then i'll buy it.

i bought my helmet for safety reasons....that's why i just don't buy any helmet (for me & for my backride as well), and make sure that it is DOT & SNELL certified....it may be a bit expensive, but you can't put a price on safety & protection...

i bought my helmet to protect my head and my face... secondly the decals, and third yung pogi points..

IMHO, I dont think buying a helmet is for us to look good. Buying a Helmet is a must for all us bikers, to protect ourselves from a great danger. Di ako bumili ng helmet na covered ung buong mukha kasi mainit masyado dito sa Philippines, especially sa traffic para magsuot ng ganun. Pero I made it a point na safe parin ride ko.

i've got 2 lids one is a SHOEI RFR ELITE and one is ARAI RAPIDE-E both are SNELL and DOT approved and both are plain color (WHITE) for visibility porposes. you dont need big BUCKS to buy a good lid all you need is resourses.... hunt! (kahit wala sa uso pangit ang grapics di bagay sa motor mo pero approved sa safety standard buy it! unless if you dont care your head being thrown off)

Una kong helmet, Index 411na tig P1500, binili ko para makalusot sa checkpoint. After a crash, it saved my head. Siyempre puro gasgas na yun so its time to replace it kaya I bought a Generic Modular Helmet. Used it for 2 weeks. I dropped it tapos nasira yung locking mechanism ng helmet. Natakot ako. Ganun pala karupok yun... kaya I bought a new Zeus 508w sa DEKA. Matibay, safe, maganda, meets the DOT standards and medyo pasok sa budget. Now I'm saving up for a Zeus 506w for short rides at para di ma-luma agad 508w ko. Bow.

For safety we need helmet to protect our head :nuts: in case we fall or any accident. I still remember dito po sa area namin may isang rider ang naaksidente lumusot mismo sa ilalalim ng truck pero po yung UTAK nya mismo talagang lumabas :eek: tsk... tsk... a poor guy. Kaya po dapat mag ESEP-ESEP :rolleyes: mahirap na!

ako naman bumili ako helmet para magkaruon ng protection ang ulo,meron mga basehan ang mga mahal na helmet na subok sa tibay at protection hindi kaparehas ng ibang brand tulad ng arai at shoie sa safety standard sya ang pinaka konti ang patay pangalawa ang shoie,panghuli ang hjc at bell,paano kaya yun hindi pa dumaan sa mga pagsubok di biyak ulo mo,mabuti sana kung meron sa palengke na ulo!,yun iba kasi na nakikita ko na naka mc halos yun helmet umiikot na sa ulo,yun harap napupunta sa likod wala pa visor,madami din bumibili ng index na napakaganda ng kulay o desenyo,kaya kung bibili kayo isipin mabuti kung kaya protectionan ang ulo nyo kasi kung sa maling pagtitipid eh ibabayad nyo din yun sa hospital o sa sementeryo....hay salamat natapos di heheheheheehe haba.

kaya ako bumili ng helmet para sa protection ng ulo.. kahit mahal basta maingatan ko lng ang ulo.... ang bili ko sa helmet ko is 4,700k kahit mahal bsta worth nman gmitin....... ride safe mga bro.. ingat palagi...

Seriously, for me, the question has somewhat no point. Its automatic, that IF you ride any vehicel other than a car, may it be a bicycle, skates, or even a skateboard, (even race car drivers use it), is to have a Helmet. So why ask the question? :? :? :?

Sorry Dick if my question makes no sense to you but i guess it makes sense to some of this guys,yup you have a point that its automatic that when you drive a vehicle other than a car you use a helmet,safety is a basic reason when buying a helmet , but there are other reasons why you chose that particular helmet?, could it be the brand, exclusivity, decals cos it matches your bike? thanks for your reply guys
