Hi there 'Loncin' Forum owners.

I am now the owner of a Locin model 'Terminator' 200, that was first registered November 2003
This is 3 'firsts' for me -
1) Never owned any chinese bike before, let alone Loncin,
2) Never had a 'Cruiser' style bike before,
3) Never owned/ridden any bike in Philippines before.

(You can see my previous bikes on http://www.cebuliving.com/david/files/my-motorbikes/ if you have not followed my other message post in Motorcycle Philippines Forum).

I was not sure if this was the sort of bike I was after as I also fancied doing some off-road riding.

Anyway this Loncin 'Terminator' 200 belonged to this American friend of mine here in Cebu, where I live. He had gone back to USA to visit his elderly parents. He wants his Filipina wife and 2 children to join him, so looks like he is not planning to return to Cebu in near future. this the reason he signed 'Special Power of Attorney' before he left so his wife could sell his Motorbike on his behalf (amongst other things).

The cash price of just Php30,000 seemed a good price to pay for a bike just two and a half years old with 15,000Km on the clock?

I figured by buying a 'road' bike for just Php30K, I might be able to afford a used 'off-road' bike also perhaps?

Anyne know of a used Yamaha XT225 in Cebu?

A British friend of mine has a fully SEC registered, money lending business, with his Filipina wife. They had a 'fleet' of XR200's used by the money collectors. I am hoping they might be selling one of these, at good price perhaps (Php35K?).

In the meantime I will get some Philippines riding experience here in Cebu (with hopefully some travelling to other islands - depending on my asawas willingness to pillion and/or my going off on the bike without here?).

Does anyone know if/where there in Loncin Dealer in Cebu for spares?

Cheers
David

PS: I have a scanned copy of the 'Terminator 200' Motorcycle guidebook, if anyone needs a copy. The scanned image quality is not that good, but better than nothing! At least it has the wiring diagram and some other important information.

was just passing through the loncin forum when i came across your post, I've got one of those. Mine is black.

The t200 rides much like a standard except you have the floorboards and the toe-heel shifter. Other than that it *should* be about the same. Angles are not so radically different. A tad-bit laid back

I don't think you will have a problem 'abusing' the bike on-road but offroad is a bit iffy. Engine, frame, general engineering seems quite ok but the peripherals like fairings and lights and stuff are not quality. Can't imagine 'jumping' it over anything
:o

Overall fun ride, 100+ kph on the road top speed with good acceleration and handling , brakes are kinda weak. Nothing like your 750 though (I liked that 64 benly you fixed up)
