View Full Version : the ubiquitous left shoe stain
katsch October 22nd, 2003, 06:23 PM has anybody solved the problem of the left shoe stain?
all my light colored shoes get to have these and they are so difficult to remove and are definitely unsightly.
just bought a goretex coleman which do not come in anything dark colored. i hate to think what happens to it in a few days of riding.
any help out there?

katsch October 23rd, 2003, 07:28 PM definitely sensible.
now, let me look for someone who may be able to execute it without any dollar drain on the philippine economy...
thanks a lot, senzali!

GSChan October 30th, 2003, 10:24 PM If you're penny pinching, you could always just strap on an old wrist band around your shoe.

Won't that be dangerous, since you won't have proper traction when you put your foot down?

Othello November 20th, 2003, 11:00 AM Back in the days, I use to wear construction/hiking boots when I ride (tan in color) and I get that stain too 'til a friend gave me a shifter boot (L shaped - made of foam rubber wrapped with a cloth material) and it worked great. Only thing is it lasted only one season. Nowadays I use riding boots with shifter pads.
Patrick November 20th, 2003, 01:51 PM One thing you could do is to become "Fashion independent" and say to yourself "to heck with the stain-- anyway, it is one of the signs of a rider". And it won't bother you anymore! Guess what-- few people notice anyway, either way. They will notice the odd shoe saver or other contraption you'd use to keep the stain from hapening.
ron November 23rd, 2003, 08:50 PM :D nice say patrick :D
