Lang hiya ako ata pinakamatanda dito ha. batch 79 here. we had our silver jubilee homecoming 2 years ago. SILVERDE..way to go. as far as i know the biggest and grandest homecoming ever. ewan ko lang yung mga sumunod.

I remember the best selling food at the cafeteria (sa ilalim ng gym..baka nalipat na eh) during recess was barbeque with java rice. i really missed that. at yung ice cream house sa gilid near the bookstore. pero ang hindi ko malilimutan talaga ay yung initiation rites nung 1st year kame. grabe..as in grabe talaga. nasubukan nyo na ba mapahiran ng winter green na may kasamang sili sa mata? just to give you an idea. catsup for a pomade. pero di na kame nakabawi kasi nung 4th year na kame the initiation rites was scrapped for good.
Binibining La Salle namin nun was Jackie Lou Blanco. teka meron pa ba nyan ngayon??

Class 4H. i also remember MR. Lacsamana. pilipino teacher sya di ba? sa class nya we also keep count on how many times he would utter "noh"..as in "alam nyo noh"...he he. siguro sa 1hr mga 50X..

second year adviser was Mr. Rafael, I remember the teachers you mentioned.. Tatang Mendoza was our track and field coach. Mrs Pilapil was legendary. I was head over heels with Mrs Frias then and thought our school dentist was cute.. si Dra. Enriquez. I was also one of the last ones that had grade school in la salle taft.. Ferdie Syfu's famous parking lot beside la salle then. Drag racing behind shoppesville and smoking blue seal for P8 a pack back then. We would always go drinking at the beer garden behind tropical hut at the corner of EDSA and ortigas and our recovery meal was at Goodah. I saw Bro. Gus recently in Promenade at Greenhills just 2 months ago.

There is a group of La Sallite Riders. They call themselves the Animo Riders. Deptom is one of their founding members. I'm just not sure who else among them frequent these forums. As far as I know, they ride almost every Sunday. They're a nice bunch!

Butting in.... The Animo Riders has an Archers' Nook thread at the forum of the other site. There's a a whole bunch of them, you'll be surprised. Ride safe.

i think it was maison delasalle, the aircon resto beside the bookstore where we xeroxed all our Voltes V posters and drawings!!:O
and who cant forget the famous java rice with gravy!!! and the delicious but suspicious (not sure whats it made of) barbeque sold by a vendor outside the fence right in front of the library.

I remember sitting on wooden seat with retractable desk in St. Joseph's AUDITORIUM... Now it's St. Joseph's THEATER already?!! Nice balcony! The stage looks the same though ;)

Nice HS building. I do miss the HS Quadrangle, though. I heard GS is occupying that building nowadays. Is that true?

i felt so bad last time i went there...why? coz me lapida yung mga batch 88' during that time who made the most profit sa newspaper drive...it was located further back sa track oval[malapit sa tennis court]...then mga 1996, i went there[did saw christian mathay by accident who happens to be around]....wala na yung mga lapida...

3rd year was our best year..coz yung home room adviser namin is "bro" [forgot his name] pero brother sya satin...bigote...he just lasted a year with us...from there nag quit...di ata kami nakaya...but he's a good man.

...once a classmate of ours,has got a relative who had just died...somewhere in batangas...hindi pumasok sa afternoon class for that day ang section namin.ayun nakilamay[with bro's blessing:evil:]...mga 3-4 hi ace van yung ginamit...and he covered our assess coz we have to explain to our 3rd year principal[forgot his name too] kung baket nawala yung section namin...

that afternoon was fun coz...me nung nasa SLEX kami...pauwi na ng manila..just so happened na me nilampasan kaming school bus[don't know kung from Brent or from IS]basta majority puti...palibhasa lasing yung mga ibang kasama ko... ayun...

...habang nag o-overtake kami, at habang tumutugtog yung "Buttercup" song then later on "You to me are everything" song...eksaktong pagtapat sa bintana ng schoolbus, sabay bukas ng bintana ng hi ace...3-4 classmates, binaba pantalon pati brief sabay display ng mga wetpox nila sa mga chikababes.:evil::evil::O:O

Yup, it's a Theater na and the GS is occupying the quad. There are more rooms also, interconnecting the buildings (naliligaw nga ako most of the time). Me elevators na rin sa HS bldg and the bldg facing Ortigas Ave.

Bookstore still there, high tech na with POS/barcode.

Siopao? Iba na yata nagbebenta, ang daming food ngayon, kulang na lang Starbucks. :)

Re volleyball.....alam mo naman La Salle, ayun nagtayo ng Beach Volleyball. Hehe daming chicks pag me game. :D

great pictures you posted BEERBOY. had no idea of the new structural changes they made in the St Joseph auditorium....oops, theater pala:) could still remember my PREP graduation being held there in the olden times. yup, PREP to HS, LSGH all the way:)

never been inside the LSGH compound lately since HS graduation(18 years ago) till i attended a medical and surgical mission few months back this year. the mission was sponsored by some older batch of alumni for the indigent patients. only place i stayed in there was the clinic the whole time. looking forward to attend the next medical mission next year.

I remember our cute computer science teacher Ms. Cookie Javier. A good friend of mine was Ms. Jo Ladlad. I think she is with DLSU now. Mrs Picart was my adviser in 4th or 2nd year. Ms Tere Gorayeb always scared me with her taray looks.
