View Full Version : new helmet finally arrived!
philippines June 28th, 2006, 10:53 PM So I finally got my Airoh tr1 helmet, but wow at 20t pesos, ouch! Great ventilation, very light wieght, stylish, and comfortable. The only negitive thing is I expected a flip up helmet but infact its the chin guard that detaches. But I am very happy with it!
Modular Overrev June 28th, 2006, 11:00 PM never heard of that brand, where is it made from? :?
philippines June 28th, 2006, 11:12 PM Made in italy, but I bought it from Oz Racing Cebu after 6weeks of waiting. I think new branch out from Nolan????
Modular Overrev June 28th, 2006, 11:15 PM ah, looks good especially the inner lens, looks like a helmet from a fighter pilot. :D :C
pedz June 29th, 2006, 08:53 AM sa apexx meron na yata.. 8K lowest proce..
dante June 29th, 2006, 11:22 AM Sir ask ko lang kung DOT approved na ba yan?
Modular Overrev June 29th, 2006, 11:57 AM speeka da englisch bro he's a foreigner. :D
aloy_g June 29th, 2006, 12:17 PM 20k pesos?! wow, very expensive. i wonder how much these costs, they look really cool. :L
ReturnCode7 June 29th, 2006, 03:02 PM Bros you can order those in makati. Pasong tamo. OZ Racing Sells them . Yes the design is very unusual and cool. But the design is rigid and feels like it can easily break apart. www.airoh.com. Did not found any DOT or any cetification. For the lens yes.

The wihite one is around 20k++ Black one is priced at 14k. Both can be converted into Half face helmets. Beat That!=b
pepe1275 June 30th, 2006, 12:20 AM sir aloy g, i don't think bmw choi is going to bring that in. i went to his store in jurong singapore yesterday and he said that the first and the last pic will not be in his order list. it is pretty nice to see oz racing seat cover, wallets and bags in his shop but i still have to see an underbone that has the seat covers.
for one only June 30th, 2006, 12:25 AM That is a pretty sweet looking lid, very street fighterish-I'm an Arai or AGV guy but I'd sport that if I was rolling on a naked bike.
Jesterxrm June 30th, 2006, 01:24 AM Feel like flying a plane? jet pilot?
Hardliner June 30th, 2006, 11:47 AM great helmet and i like the lines...caberg has the same featurres and found one at action hobbies last year and its priced at 12k i think. the caberg helmet is flipup or you can also pullout the chinbar, it also got the inner dark visor.
wasted_23 June 30th, 2006, 12:50 PM great helmet and i like the lines...caberg has the same featurres and found one at action hobbies last year and its priced at 12k i think. the caberg helmet is flipup or you can also pullout the chinbar, it also got the inner dark visor.
that's the Caberg Justissimo. downside is... they're a bit heavy.
philippines June 30th, 2006, 03:28 PM Ok it is very light and the air flow through the helmet is great for keeping cool, a little niosy with the wind if you doing above 140kph,could do with some more padding inside, but even though it's made in italy I can't find any safty certification (ie dot approved) Looks great but not sure how it stands up to safety standards? They are 22t for the two colours and 20t for the matt black and grey avaliable at OZ racing.

angelo June 30th, 2006, 04:11 PM too much pricey for a helmet. if i'd got 22K, might go for arai or shoei helmets instead. just my opinion.

too too expensive. UK price is just between £ 120-135.00
you could had settled for an agv with that price,or shoei or an arai[which of course is of better quality and cred]
airoh is a good name but P20K on your TR1? too much:C
the_vigilante1 June 30th, 2006, 05:36 PM Its one cute helmet but I think its too much for 20T pesos. But its cool.
GSChan June 30th, 2006, 05:52 PM Does anybody know if Reevu helmets are already available locally? It's the one with the integrated rear view mirror.
Xplorers_Phils June 30th, 2006, 06:02 PM too much pricey for a helmet. if i'd got 22K, might go for arai or shoei helmets instead. just my opinion.
yep...shoei synchrotec (flipup) is around 23k i think.

sir if that is a full face modular helmet or can be converted into half face, that helmet will not be certified by DOT, but i think SNELL will....hth:s
rastaman June 30th, 2006, 08:21 PM 20k for a helmet..dio ko nayun ha..fautang naman fafa..:D
kompressor June 30th, 2006, 09:07 PM sir if that is a full face modular helmet or can be converted into half face, that helmet will not be certified by DOT, but i think SNELL will....hth:s
Dude, it's the other way around. Snell has stricter standards. Quick release chin straps rarely pass snell standards.
Zeus 508w for example is DOT but not Snell certified.
Ok, back to topic.

jojoMITO July 1st, 2006, 08:13 AM Thats a very good looking helmet. But the price is too expensive. In Europe it sells for around 10t. The shell is made of thermoplastic resin, which is the cheapest material used by top brands in their line up ranging from 7-10k. Shoie, arai, soumy, shark, agv. For 20k you could have bought a SHARK helmet made of Carbon-fiber/Kevlar multi-directional composite fibers . Thats why im still waiting for someone to become the distributor here. The price would definetely go down! :)

jbinueza September 19th, 2006, 11:26 PM reminds me of a Russian Mig pilot (just lacks the Red star), it looks nice!!
BOSERO July 10th, 2007, 11:05 AM @Philippines,
I am very interested in the Airoh TR1. Can you please write an in-depth review about your helmet? I searched the net but could not find reviews about the TR1.
If you could turn back time, knowing what you know now about the TR1, would you buy it again?
Thanks for your insights.

Helps if you can read Italian.
Ang ganda nga ng TR1 line nila, especially the TR1 Italy, TR1 Chrome and TR1 Lee designs.
Pulis kalawakan na pulis kalawakan ang dating.
Wills_McLaren July 10th, 2007, 01:00 PM I think its less than 20k now in OZ.
Fukitol July 12th, 2007, 01:42 AM Airoh is a nice helmet, design and weight is good
TriFlector July 12th, 2007, 08:48 AM Does anybody know if Reevu helmets are already available locally? It's the one with the integrated rear view mirror.
C'mon you've got one already and you had it posted for sale in December. You need another one or want to get the newer makes?
As for Airoh, really cool looking helmet but too pricey compared to more popular ones like Nolan and Caberg...
stevedge July 12th, 2007, 08:58 AM Nice helmet there... :D
