Hi all
I'm from South Africa and looking for a decent( but cheap) bike to commute to work which is +/- 150km round trip. At the moment there are two bikes which falls in my budget. The one is the Loncin LX200-c and the other one is the BAJAJ 180 cc DTS-i. I am leaning towards the Loncin but due to not finding any info or reviews on the net I'm a bit worried. I'm not a speed deamon but will do some highway driving.
Any advice will be highly appreciated.

i've ridden the LX cyclone 200cc. it's really more of a commuter bike... because of its 200cc single cylinder engine, it is a basic bike, not much frills, but it's a work horse... the bike can give u enough speed on the highways cause it can easily cruise at 80kph, but do not expect too much from it though, you cannot compare it to 250cc japanes bikes...
the maintenance is easy though it has a single spark plug, front caliper brake and rear expanding brakes... and because it is heavier than standard bikes it is stable on crosswinds... unlike multi cylinder japanes bikes expect the cyclone engine to vibrate at 8000rpm... and it is usually common to most single cylinder motorcycles with single carburators... the japanes solved ths problem by introducing 2 carburators on a single cylinder engine... like the GB250 and the SRX 400... but I have also ridden the GB250 and the engine still vibrates at 8000rpm... well anyway... all in all... the cyclone is more of a torque generating motorcycle... it gives u power at low RPMs... goodluck!

Thank you for replying :s
Well I am going to use it for commuting. The Honda CBX 250cc is going for double the price the Loncin is going. Is it worth it though ?
I bit worried about the cruising speed of 80 kph as our highway cars cruise around 100 kph.

I ride the Cyclone to work every now and then. It's around 100 Km, mostly highway. I can easily maintain a speed of 100 kph all the way. It wil even go to 120 if tuck down behind the windshield and give it full throttle.
Also, you can exchange the rear sprocket with a smaller (say 36 tooth) and top speed will increase by 10-30 kph. This will also make the engine run at lower revs and this means less vibrations.

Thanks Pac-man and erictenefrancia..
I've decided to take the Lx200. I'll change the sprocket once the warranty is finished.
