We, The Naked Boys Motorcycle club, share the common interest of Bikes, Sport Racing, Leisure Group Rides, and just hanging around. Why "Naked Boys"? The club was formed by a group of naked bike owners. However, the group is not exclusively for Naked Bike Owners only but includes all kinds of bikes such as, full-faired sports, sport-touring, standard, scooters, off-road, enduro types, and etc. Our activities are Tambay-trip lang which we call "meetings" and occasional long trips.

Eyesman,

Is your invitation for Root Beer still on? Saturday seems to be the night!

LBB,

Seems the night ride will start out late (9PM The Fort/930PM PETRON SLEX).

Will this be a free wheelie where we just ride as far as it goes or have you planned an itinerary altogether? Fiesta ba kala BOYER? Hope he serves good Leche Flan! Or is a ride on the Space Shuttle at Enchanted Kingdom on the list of activities too?

Would appreciate if you can post a tentative itinerary so that we can all anticipate and prepare for the night ride.

Thanks!

Hi BOYER :C

Got your PM and your CP#. Thank you!

Hope to tail you one of these days at SLEX. I usually drive down the ramp of FILINVEST northbound by 9/930AM to get to Ortigas before 10A. On the way back, I am usually cruising together with all the DTs at C5 by 6PM.

Too bad there isnt a rest stop for us between Nichols and Alabang
:{

But just the same, get your motor running, soon!:punk:

Ride safe!

SLEX runner,
Actually, I have no idea what's the itenerary... hehe... they want it to be spontaneous. Perhaps its just a joy ride and let us see what happens when we get to Sta. Rosa. Most likely, tambay trip lang. We do not encourage drinking anything that contains alcohol though. It affects your judgement while riding. Perhaps a bottle or two is cool.

I wouldn't encourage drinking and riding too! You might hit a bump and spill the drink....sayang!

See you Saturday!

EYESMAN:)

Are we riding out of Commerce Avenue together....or will you be riding out of Multinational? ATC at 9PM on a Saturday with a red Super4 seems to be an eyecatcher! Miss body beautiful in hot pants might be there again....sana lang nagpalit na siya otherwise, very disappointing yon!

abet,
of course you're welcome to join our rides again. all of us didnt get the chance to talk to each other because we were all just riding like hell all over the place. come to think of it, we were riding most of the time than stayed at one place, di ba?

SLEXrider,
that's a good idea... perhaps drinking before you drive is bad... but maybe drinking while driving is not bad. you would get drunk when you get at your destination naman eh. hmmm... i'll try a long flexible straw and more improvisation..

Hi WAWAY :C

I was reading through the previous thread and failed to catch you respond to LBBs intro and call for assistance. Well that thread also closed thereafter, which saw birth to where we are now.

Buddy, the urgency for repair has gone down as I opted to replace the original set with another one. However, now we have a set which can be repaired at a later time and kept as spare.

Are you joining the night ride on Saturday?

See you soon!

Oh yeah! I now remember you! It's been quite some time. We're going to Infanta this Sunday. Would you like to ride with us? I'm a bit nervous about this coz I'm a newbie and everybody is telling me that it would be sort of a technical trip because of all the twisties... well... bahala na.

Whenever I use the SLEX, on approach of Alabang bridge, I always take the right most lane then split, but when its heavy, like when its four lane, I stay on the left if its not too crowded, thats where I catch up with you. Then after the bridge, up to sucat interchange, I move to the rightmost again, sometimes using the exit lane , b/c under the bridge on the rightmost is empty, then I change to the left most lane again up to the skyway approach. The only problem with the center lane is that there are some road obstacles like broken glass, pebbles, one time I run over a automobile tire, abandoned by someone who just had a flat broken tire, almost tripping me but luckily the bandit wheels was able to run over it with me almost shocked, this morining I was riding a little rush, was chasing somebody from the office who had to do me a favor, probably the last few days offbike turned my mode into a streetfighter, it happens to most bikers, sometimes I feel like an 80yr old trying to keep the balance, I guess I have these modes with me to watch out so I can maximize my safety parameters, anyway its always a great ride using the SLEX, glad we share the same, next time we'll have the 'floats' hihi! and talk bikes and rides.

SLEX Runner
May 14th, 2003, 04:18 AM
Hey Boyer!

Really looking forward to the RB floats with you;)

On riding on SLEX, we should consider putting up thread giving pointers/insights on how to properly ride that long piece of road.

Unlike many weekend warriors who turn the SLEX into a drag strip, as a daily commuter on my S4, I continue to practice restraint and demonstrate respect to other drivers. Being on a motorcycle has its advantages specially in slow moving traffic, which other motorists may find to be the cause of further irritation. Peaceful co-habitation at the SLEX should be top of mind when we're riding through it.

Mas lalo nating ipagdiinan na nakakasingit tayo, mas lalo tayong kaiinisan!

The psyche of motorists is different, and being the minority on SLEX, we should be able to approach driving together and around them with caution.

Common misinterpretation: Some riders will use the sound of their YOSHIMURA or VANCE N HINES exhaust deliberately to get noticed/attention instead of using their horns or flashing lights - Motorists will interpret it as aggressive behavior.

Which lane to take? What side of the lane to take? There's a lot to discuss...don't you agree? Sige BOYER, lets meet and usap tayo, and trade experiences and maybe we can launch a DIGEST on it.

Your right, and 'rides' is what this forum is all about. Most of my rides before were guided by informations I have read and digested from most of the forums at MCP.com. With my unexpressed thankfulness to all those members who continue to write and share their stories on the road, the rest of the riding community continue to get informed and educated.
Being a cager also, there is I guess an advantage when riding a bike, I can anticipate what a cager's , wether good or bad, move will be, so most of the time. For me, I rely on the essentials of riding, like countersteering, giving more application to front brakes than the rear (depending on the situation) and the use of engine breaks especially when on high speeds. But still we continue to learn from every day experience. Just what the Oracle said in latin "know thyself', I'm excited to watch the new Matrix movie. Do you know a place in Alabang town, with open space, where you can park your bikes and have some B w/o floats? Maybe we should have a place to hang out, for the southern dudes who want to have a 'beer mug in hand analysis' of this riding thing, hihi!
What do you suggest Bandit?

SLEX Runner
May 14th, 2003, 10:00 AM
A little but pricey but well lighted and ample parking would be OUTBACK near ATC.

For a lot of fresh air and reasonable floats, DENCIO'S GRILL. Its situated close to the breathing area of RITM -- o, libre SARS!

Both TOTAL and CALTEX are now alcohol free--drinking within the premises is prohibited.

Yeah , why dont we ride the Outback sometime. I know one too, but forgot the name, do you know this golf driving range fronting the Festival Mall? Have been there once, and they serve beer too, dunno which has the right price. On weekends I'm off work, Saturday I might be on the vicinity of ATC, but probably offbike, we might be doing some groceries, will text u there.

Boyer,

Let me know how Saturday comes along. We should consider meeting up as the sun sets so that it isn't too warm.

Dencio's Grill is the one beside the driving range. Yes they serve RootBeer too!

Depending on your tolerance for alcohol, soda's are the way to go!

boyer,
previously, i used to hang-out at caltex alabang but when they imposed the alcohol ban (as if i drink:D ) and when i met the naked boys, i now seldom go there.....
anyways, that is the place i suggest, aside from the wide parking space, a lot of people also go there to make chika-chika...:f

Hey guys
Looks like we're in for a change, whats the best riding gear for the road when raining, in prep for future naked rides?
One time last year when I rode on a heavy rain, the first casualty was my cellphone, it got wet and I forgot to secure it properly. Then I also went through a flooded route, I should have worn a rain boot I guess. Also my gloves are for dry rides, so it fits different when its wet. For the upcoming rides maybe its better to be prepared, to keep safe.

I read somewhere that celfones and other delicate electronic products should be put into zip bags so as to protect them from the wet.

Problem is, i've been checking out stores for them zippies but noone seems to be selling them. NOW, does anyone know of any store that happens to sell zip bags ?

although more expensive, you can check out scubaworld or any other diving shops. they have small plastic containersfor your wallets, watches, glasses, phones, which even when partially submerged, will protect and keep your items dry.
as for those zippie bags, i think the sandwich bag will suffice also...you can get them sa groceries.

Most of the belt bags are water repellant though not really waterproof. You can also avoid having your wallet & money water drenched.

Im using one right now which I bought for only 400 . It has also a pocket for cellular phone. Although I have my copy of the regn in a sandwich zip bag just like what eyesman suggested.
