hmm...wala pa po akong nakikitang riding shoes ng nike, adidas or puma.

pero as for me, i've been eyeing the riding shoes made by XPD, na locally available...model XJ. Pwedeng pang-ride or pangharabas...:D...if ever bibili na me yung black kunin ko.

Sa pagkakasabi sakin ni malvin ng motoworld, merun waterproof at standard nito. Yung waterproof 6.5k, yung standard 5.8k.

ipon...ipon...ipon

Trekking shoes will do since most models are waterproofed. There's Merrel, Coleman and CAT.

Light rubber shoes will do for me.
On long rides, I wear my High Cut CAT.

Dr. Martens, Merrell, Timberland, Hi-Tec, Solomon and dami pa jan iba. Mga oil resistant at waterproof yang mga yan. May affordable at ung iba may kamahalan pero talagang pang-sabak talaga na pang-araw-araw.

Sir, I use a Sinisalo Riding Boots for everyday use and my Spidi Boots for Weekends. Rubber shoes cannot give your feet the protection that the Riding boots can.

For guys who like boots for everyday riding and still manage a decent walk in the office, try the Best Sole brand of Rusty Lopez. I got a pair during their sale (50% off) for only Php 1,750. Very nice leather and non-slip rubber sole. I just put in a soft cork insole to make it a bit more comfy. Not too shabby and definitely within budget. And damn they look good! It looks like an exact copy of the one that sells in Activmoto (Php9,700) but Best Sole has softer (read: walkable) leather. Everyone in my office was raving on how nice it looks (even top brass commented favorably). I don't know if they still have stocks of it (black and brown) but I highly recommend it. I use it for everyday and the occasional ride out-of-town. Haven't asphalt-tested it, though (hope not anytime soon). Oh yeah, I ride a Super4 and I get lotsa stares especially when you tuck the jeans inside the boot. Yee-haa!

Merrell is quite expensive than the cheapest true blue riding shoes...if your going to buy a true blue riding shoes better ask the salesperson if it is waterproof or not since there are riding boots that are of leather construction but they are not rated waterproof...yep the polo riding boots can also be your everyday riding shoes. whats nice about those riding shoes is that they have reinforced leather on the shifter and the soles don't twist, the same with other merrell models.

hmm...i like that polo boots. looks cool to me and great price too, but i don't think its waterproof but anyway its a great buy.

i use a waterproof salomon protrek 6 goretex for long rides. it has this odor-preventing material, ortholite that keeps it dry and moisture resistant. used it twice on heavy rain. never got a pair of soaky socks after. for just 2k petot. was on sale at olympic village from 7+k. equivalent nasty hiking/riding boots are from merrel and the north face but they're a lot more expensive. excellent grip btw. you'll never miss the pegs

salomon amphib for everyday use. slip on. though i did not buy the easy lace. mesh, vented and ortholite of course to keep your feet not as moist. easy to dry if wet after rain. also has a simple drainage system just in case.

Lately, I am wearing my sneakers while riding on the rain ... to avoid getting wet, I am covering it with medium sized plastic bags.
BUT! I need extra caution when stopping ... its a little slippery but manageable if you're careful.:)

there was a sale at rob's place manila, near p.faura entrance. royal sporting good ata yun. they got some merrel waterproof models, at 3.3k and 3.9k. two models lang, sadly i dont have a budget, and 8.5 lang ang biggest size available. but the style of the mid cut shoes looks good, but of course outdoors ang dating. im not sure lang if the sale is still on hanggang ngaun pero 2 or 3 weeks na ata yun nandun. and oh btw, madami ring brand and items on sale. laki price cuts, good to check it out. :)
