HTH... ride safe:banana:
Wesley_martin May 30th, 2006, 07:15 PM Arai is one great helmet but very expensive, HJC is a good choice.. but you can have a cheaper one get the zeus, and index but don't get the one w/c are sold in the sidewalk.. just my opinion..

Ride Safe!
Gimikero May 30th, 2006, 10:02 PM :? :? :?
pano mo po malalaman kung orig...
tnx
:D also dapat tama ang fitting. snugly fit, ika nga.
geraldo3 June 1st, 2006, 07:19 PM Safe pa din kahit modular as long as when u ride close mo lang ang shield .. kasi kung leave mo open .. and should u encounter an accident balewala din and it could be more fatal.
aside from what hardliner mentioned .. another shop is ActiveMoto .
NSCB June 2nd, 2006, 09:59 AM mahirap talaga for a newbie to differentiate a good looking helmet from a safe helmet....specially if you have budgetary constraints...so try this...
1. go to authorized helmet dealers and check out the quality branded helmets, best if you can try them on...
2. take note of the helmet's feel & finish, both it's exterior and interior qualities.
3. after which try and compare it with the less expensive ones that is within your budget.
4. go for the helmet which looks and comfort is closest to the branded helmet that you have tried on first.
5. Save...save...save...so next time you'll be able to buy the branded ones.
keep in mind that you can't put a price tag on safety.

elgatonegro June 8th, 2006, 12:48 PM @Gimikero,
Dapat SNELL or DOT approved! ex. Zeus, Shoie, Arai, HJC and etc.
I would recommend you to check "EXCEED" located along Rizal avenue between 8th and 9th avenue Caloocan City. It is owned by fellow MCP member named ALLAN a.k.a. ACCS. I can assure to you that all the HELMETS are Original. Or you may even PM him here at MCP. :)
rjmvirgotaurus June 8th, 2006, 01:29 PM @gimikero,
also check the threads in the attire and stuff forum you will find a lot of information and tips about helmet. hope this will help you brod.
try zeus 508w or hjc cl14....
arwin_ActionHob June 8th, 2006, 10:51 PM to gimikero,
mixme June 10th, 2006, 02:10 AM inkjet,
they are both priced 4,000 to 4,500 .... for zeus pics...go to http://www.motoworldph.com and for HJC go to www.hjchelmets.com ...caio
mixme June 10th, 2006, 02:18 AM one more thing...if safety ang pag-uusapan...go for helmets that are SNELL (private) or ECE (europe) certified helmets...mas maganda kung both ECE and Snell and DOT...pero kung DOT lang?..may nabalitaan ako na medyo linient daw ang DOT pag dating sa certification...alam mo na government run daw kasi ang DOT...alam na!.... just correct me if I'm wrong... hearsay lang naman ito eh...pero iba na ang sure! diba?
inkjet June 10th, 2006, 04:51 AM MixMe,
thanks dude

You can visit www.hjchelmets.com for more informations sa pag fit ng helmets.
In case of accident delikado rin ito.
But I can recommend talaga is HJC. Hindi ka magsisisi sa ganitong brand.
rain01 June 17th, 2006, 09:39 AM ano po ang recomended nyo?
NSCB June 17th, 2006, 09:46 AM ano po ang recomended nyo?
bro....mas ok ang modular helmet for riders with eyeglasses...i bought a Zeus 508W for that purpose....
wendigo7 June 20th, 2006, 10:55 PM Recommend ko to use Zeus 508... Subok ko na, I had a major spill kasi wearing it. If not for my helmet my head would have been painted all over the road. I didn't even feel anything when my head hit the road. Paddings worked well.
Damage to the helmet? Scratches lang.... Very impressive diba?
900 pesos po sya, kjc ata ang brand? tnx for your response.

genecarlo June 23rd, 2006, 06:04 PM sirs i just bought a new one at exceed this afternoon.. its a zeus 503 fullface... and it costs only P1,900.00 pesos... im very sure its original since mcp member din ang may ari ng exceed... for its price ok na ito kesa index esp for long trips...
tips in buying a helmet...
1. its better kng mcp member din ang owner shop kasi you know that he understands the abc's of helmets.
2. since mcp din siya... pm mo muna for the availability and kung ano helmet ang ma-recommend niya for your budget.
3. visit the store and try to get the feel of it... sukat mo hindi pwede na titigan lang.
4. canvass if not yet satisfied dami pa iba shops like dekka, j.t.triumph, tres hermanas... etc...
Kuha kayo ng medida, then i wrap nyo sa forehead nyo just above the eyebrow.
Paul.Garcia July 10th, 2006, 08:11 PM between hjc and zeus na modular alin ang maganda....1500 pa lang pera ko dami ko pa iipunin....HJC ang mas maganda!
You'll need P8K for HJC Symax and P4K for Zeus 508 or 508W.
I'm not saying that this is the guideline, pero sa tindi ng difference sa price, you can say which one is better. Hope this helps.

B3RN13 July 11th, 2006, 03:45 PM Tulad ng nasabi sayo dito sa thread, really go with a quality helmet if you can. Pero any helmet is better than none (wag lang po masyado tipirin). Keep in mind that the reason you're getting a helmet is to protect your head (not your elbow or bike...hehehe).
Good luck on your choice and happy biking... :D
i agree with you bro...pero i still prefer my other fullface helmets compared to my 508w....it tends to whistle above 60 kph....i recently bought a KBC TK77 - Viper....pang alternate....
B3RN13 July 12th, 2006, 12:00 AM Oo nga Sir NSCB, napansin ko din na nag whistle ang ZEUS at a certain speed and also, medyo hirap mag vent ng breath kapag totally sarado ang visor. Pero okay pa naman. I'm also thinking of getting a second helmet pero I haven't decided on what to get yet. Meron kasi akong nakita (in one ofthe helmet threads) na Aero helmet which looks like a pilot's helmet (full face) and I'm still looking for it locally.
