So far, sabi lang nung napakiusapan ko na magturo sa'kin yesterday, impressed daw sya sa makina. He's been riding diff. kinds of bikes for years. Nakahawak na sya ng scooters, off-road bikes (yung malalaki na pang-off road racing), and tricycle bikes. Malakas nga daw ang hatak ng makina ko. Dito kasi sa'min taas-baba ang kalsada at impressed daw sya pag pataas. Medyo matigas pa nga lang daw ang makina kasi break-in pa lang. Pero after the first 100km, mas magiging maganda daw ang performance nun. I really hope so. Alagaan ko lang daw sa maintenance and it'll be great..

bro whitebear, when you think you cud already ride, kahit na medyo alanganing, i suggest that you already try a long drive na.... find a route na palagay mo hindi masyadong congested... in this way, you'll get a good feel of your bike -- mapupulsuhan mo na agad, ika nga, and the rest will follow.... (avoid mo muna ang bakrayd... hheeheheheh)

take pong's advise. tama sya. try riding your new bike in a non-congested road. this way, you'll get a good feel of your bike. kung gusto mo, samahan kita. maganda kung gabi as in late at night. para less vehicles. ikot ikot lang tayo. sabi ka lang...

re: idle running- i think that's when your engine is running without moving it. hindi naman ganun kasama yung sa engine. but the thing is, why start the engine if you don't have the intention to ride it. di ba...?

Thanks a lot for the advise. Good News! I was able to ride my bike na. Medyo problema ko lang kapag tumitigil kasi I have to support it using my legs kaya lang mabigat. 3x ko sya naihiga. Bahala na siguro magagamay ko din 'to. Dito pa lang ako sa village namin nakaka-ride, pataas-pababa pero ok naman. I'm so glad. Naiilang lang talaga ako pag may ibang sasakyan.



P.S. Binata pa po ako but I have a G.F. kaya di rin pde backride. Baka makita ako nun sa daan sagasaan ako ng Toyota Vios nya. Haha!

Thanks for the offer. Cool ka talaga! Kaya lang di pa ako gaanong confident ngayon eh. Another thing, student permit pa lang nakukuha ko. Nag-expire na kasi yung una kong stud permit so I have to take another one. Antay na naman ako one-month to get a license. Bad trip nga eh.

I'm concerned kasi masyadong pansinin 'tong bike ko eh wala pa syang plate number. Alam nyo ba kung pa'no mag-apply ng Comprehensive Insurance para sa motor? Para just in case mapapalitan...

i haven't heard of an actual case of bikes being grabbed or taken by bad elements. but it's very possible that greedy authorities (i'm not speaking of all policemen), might do that. remember that you only have one week to have your bike registered. that's after taking it out of the casa. did you sign any waiver saying that the casa is not reponsible in case your bike gets caught by authorities not having papers and/or plate no? the casa tried asking me to sign one, but i refused to. i said to them that they are equally liable in case my bike gets caught by authorities not having papers and/or plate no.

be careful also. since you still don't have a license, you still are not allowed by law to drive your bike alone, unless you're accompanied by a rider/driver who has a professional license. you can be charged with "driving without drivers license."

re: comprehensive insurance requirement, i can help you with that. i used to work with an insurance broker, not an insurance company. insurance brokers' have clout with insurance companies. i can try to find a stable insurance company that will give a reasonable premium rate for a comprehensive coverage.

Mukhang delikado pa nga akong matiyempuhan ng mga corrupt officials ah. Wala naman akong pinirmahan na ganun saka sabi sa'kin, kapag sinita daw ako ng mga pulis, ipakita ko raw yung O.R. and Delivery Receipt na binigay nila sa'kin. That will serve as a proof daw na for registration na yung motor ko.

Question:

I have an old Student Permit way back in year 2000. Expired na sya obviously. Pwede ko ba syang gamitin para kumuha ng Non-pro license?

What about the other guys in this thread, have you heard of any cases wherein a new motorbike was taken by force by any bad elements (including buwayas) out there?


GOOD NEWS:

Nailabas ko na sa Public ang motor ko. Tama ang advises nyo, kailangan ko na nga syang gamitin para tuluyan kong matutunan. Palakasan na lang ng loob.

BAD NEWS:

Ipinaayos ko yung motor ko sa dealer for the following reasons.

1. Lumuwag yung screw ng kambyo.
2. Nalaglag yung center stand nya kasi natanggal yung spring. Laking gulat ko nga kasi kala ko yung makina na yung sumasayad habang tumatakbo ang motor ko.
3. Nasira yung Electric Start ko. Explanation nung technician, mali daw yung nailagay na gear sa loob. How should I know? Ayun, iniwan ko sa kanila para palitan. Kukunin ko mamayang hapon. Buti na lang under warranty pa.

Ok naman na sa'kin na maglabasan na lahat ng defects nya while on warranty para at least, maagapan agad. Kaysa naman after the warranty pa maglabasan, gagastusan ko pa.

yung sa insurance, depende sa ide-declare mong price nya. the premium is directly proportional sa declared price. let me know asap how much you want in covered. the amount of coverage is the maximum amount you'll get in case your bike gets stolen and not recovered for a certain time or in case you claim for a total loss.

re: penalty for "driving without license" case, i'm not really sure but i can ask somebody from mmda.

if you're going to get you're bike later, might as well be accompanied by someone with a professional license. buti na yung sigurado.

you definitely cannot use your expired permit to get a non-pro license. just a reminder, don't forget to get restriction 1 when getting a license. that's for riding a motorcycle.

Kailangan ko pala talaga maghintay ng 1 month bago ako makakuha ng license. Anyway, nakuha ko na yung motor kanina. Ako lang ang kumuha, kaya ko naman na eh. Ingat lang ako sa mga possible violations that can give those authorities the reasons to get me.

Ok na uli ang Cyclone 200 ko. Pinalitan nila ng gear yung electric starter. Minor problem lang naman pala, nothing concerning the engine. I think may kasalanan din ako kung bat nasira yun eh. Kasi when I was practicing, madalas ko mapindot yung electric starter nya habang tumatakbo. Kaya tuloy nagkaproblema. At least ok na sya uli.

Regarding the insurance, what if ide-declare ko na 65k ang amount of coverage nya? Magkano na sya?

Medyo nagagamay ko na ng husto ang motor ko kahit mabigat. Wala na ako problema changing ng gear at pagba-balance. Minsan natitigilan lang ako ng makina pag biglang take off pero walang problem kasi mabilis naman sya mag start pag gamit yung electric eh. Kagandahan nga sa motor ko, pwede ko sya i-start kahit di ako naka-neutral. During traffic pag natigilan ako, start ko sya habang naka-primera then takbo na.

Daming impressed sa itsura ng motor ko, lalo na yung ibang naka-motor na nakakasabay ko sa kalsada. Lalo tuloy ako kinabahan na baka may mang-agaw. Masyadong pansinin... Tagal kasi ng plate number eh, baka more that a month pa raw. Haay!

kaya naman pala eh. ikaw naman pala may kasalanan eh... bakit mo naman na pipindot yung start button while running? baka naman kailangan mong baguhin yung angle nung controls mo sa kanan para hindi mo napipindot accidentally. may i also remind you, not to over-use your start button. paminsan, mag-kick ka naman para humaba yung life-span nung starter mo at battery mo. there's no harm in using the kick starter once in a while. regarding the comprehensive insurance, i'll get back to you soon as i get a quotation. so you want it covered for 65k. i'll let you know soon as i have one.

Nung una electrical wiring at spark plug defect lang ang na encounter ko, pag buiyahe ako ng malayo lagi ko lang chinecehk ung mga tornilyo ksai naaalog cya, kahit nga sa ibang branded na motor it also happen.
dapat bago mo kinuha pna general checkup mo lahat
from small to big parts kasi nga sa china maybe di sila ganun ka strict sa quality kasi mas production sila. as u can observe naman na dodominate na ang pinas ng mga chinesse choppers kasi mura at maporma di BA.

If possible magsama ka ng sarili mong mekaniko.

65k value, less than 4,000 i think ang premium. with theft, TPL, pati backride included.almost all of the MIB's are insured sa kanya, sa claims walang problema.tried and tested by my fellow riders

.Yung Terminator ko Nagbavibrate lang naman sya pag sagad ang takbo. I'm planning to upgrade my valve pag nag one year na.

minor defects:
- broken plastic chain cover
- fuel gauge lights not working

I think madali naman palitan or remedyohan yung mga minor probs. yung fuel gauge lights nag-loose lang pero hindi sila pundido.

bka kukuha na ko sa december. hopefully. kaso iniisip ko pa rin hanga ngayon kung terminator, cyclone or predator.

gusto ko yung terminator kasi gwapo din naman sya, 200cc at mura pa. kaso lang eh yung branch ng loncin dito sa min, lilipat ng sm pampanga. mukhang mahina loncin dito. eh kung magsara sila ng branch? pano na warranty ko? :?

cyclone- this is the unit many people have in our area. so i'm also considering it kahit wala syang kickstart. marami din naman kasing bagong bukas na motorcycle shop dito at halos lahat ay may sym and lifan. kaso nga lang walang kickstart and 150cc lang ang cyclone.

predator- eh wala naman ganito dito sa min eh. although cops here are using granstar cruiser. i wonder where they got their bikes. granstar cruiser looks like the lifan blackhawk kaso mas pogi yung blackhawk.

How come aga ata ng change-oil mo? Usually kasi 500km ang change oil. Pero kung gusto mo change oil na, ok lang:)

Kung check-up lang, sama mo na yung bolts (dapat nga you chould be checking this regularly), Lights, battery, sparkplug, brakes, horn (baka hindi na 2 yung functioning-prone sa sira ang china bikes ng ganito), clutch, ano pa ba?!?

Basta usual yung mga nasa taas:)

Yun kasi nakalagay sa manual ko eh. Next oil change will be 600km. After 5km, im allowed to go over 40kph speed but not more that 55kph. That's my break in period...

Nababagalan na nga ako sa 40kph eh... boring!
