Hi! Everytime I ride my mc, I always tighten my full-face helmet strap because it gets loose after every use. The configuration (the way the strap gets in & out of buckles) of the strap is still in its original form. It also takes a lot of time & tedious since there are so many "ins and outs." I'm planning to get the exact fit then rubber cement the strap so that it won't slip again. Is that advisable? You guys, how do you solve this problem? :?

bro, ask ko lang...ano ba helmet mo? does it use a "D-ring" or the plastic/metal chin strap fastener? it's good that you're concern about this...a lot of riders don't even bother to use the straps...which would render the helmet useless in case of accident...

in my opinion...the best retention system for any helmet would be the Double-D Ring, thats why most top-of-line quality helmets use them. Medyo hassle nga lang pag kabit at pag-tanggal...but in the long run, makakasanayan din...

for those who really hate using the Double D-ring..i suggest, buy a good quality plastic buckles (pareho nung ginagamit sa mga bags)..they come in different sizes and are available in most general merchandise stores. Itahi nyo yung isang part kasama ng D-ring...that way, you can use the plastic buckles for convenience...and should you want to use the D-rings...simply remove the other part of the buckle from the longer strap... and insert it rings...

NSCB, my helmet uses a fastener that is square shaped with a bar across. Oo nga, in a spill, yung helmet na hindi naka fasten ay mahulog at wala na sa ulo before the head hits the road. Tama ka NSCB na the best ang double-D ring because the more you pull it, the more it tightens.

I'm using a full-face helmet.

Thanks for your replies guys! Natutuwa ako how you described velcro, hehehe.

I'm not yet planning to glue or stitch it yet. Because sometimes in the morning when I have a heavy breakfast and my strap is tight against my adam's apple, I feel like I'm going to vomit, hehe.

Salamat sa inyong replies!

kung di ka naka D ring ka bili ka ng Velcro para suot mo lang sa butas then fasten na easy in then easy out tapos fasten na. Kung yung buckle type naman ang gawin mo dun sa sa end is just tie a knot hanggang doon sa limit ng male buckle mo!
