Does any one have comments or impressions on the Jianshe City Prince? Would appreciate it, as I'm thinking of getting one.

Thanks in advance ;)

do you know that the new YAMAHA CRYPTONs are made by JIANSHE???

I'm not so sure but most probably not. The one I'm refering to is displayed in their EDSA showroom, it's a 125cc. :)

SKYGO Racing ,

Nope. There's no business going on between Yamaha and Jianshe. You may have probably seen Jianshe's imitation of Crypton; they call it "Jianshe Dash".

It's just like Jianshe's Dagger as duplicate for Suzuki Raider and Honda Sonic; Honda Wave 110 and Lifan Waave 110.

wasted_23

:) peace.. =b

Guys,

it's confirmed! Skygo is right. There's business between Jianshe and Yamaha. Pero same parts as before ang ginagamit, labor lang daw yata ang sa Jianshe and limited models lang ang gagawin nila.

But the dagger, Prince, etc are all OEM products of Jianshe, walang alam don ang yamaha.
Yamaha models will still bear the yamaha name/emblem, so you wouldn't know if it's originally made by Yamaha or by Jianshe.

your right wasted_23 my china made bike na predator ok parin performance, maski ang dami ng punishment na dinaanan, and this is the bike where I learned to ride a motorcycle at kahit anong ingat ko dahil sa lubak na terrain dito na may biglang malalalim at malalaking butas samahan mo pa ng matinding baha na umaabot sa exhaustpipe and engine plus highside and lowside na semplang it still performs well. ang tibay ng pagka construct...although its china made...but like I said also may china din na pangit ang quality...so the final decision is still doon sa purchaser ng bike...

Guys, Come to think about it kung wala ang China brands ilan kaya sa atin ang makakabili ng scooters or motorcycles. Also did you notice na di nagtaas ang Taiwan or Japan made scooters and motorcycles because nagkaroon ng alternative ang consumer which is the Chinese brands:D

Ako I'm using a Loncin Cyclone 200cc. It's also a China-Made bike pero ok naman. There was a thread here about a rider who have the same bike who died because his Mags broke when he made a sudden front break while running very fast. Malabo ang naging resulta ng issue na yun kasi may nagsabi na nabanga naman pala sa kung saan yung rider kaya nabasag yung front mags and the rest of the front part nung Cyclone nya. Different unconfirmed stories.

Ako, my bike can run at 140kph. Saarraaap! Mags??? Matibay naman. I remember one time I'm running at the speed of more or less 80kph when I suddenly ran into this damn deep whole in the middle of C5 road. I'm very lucky because I was able control my bike that swayed left and right! I was very worried about my mags pero when I had it checked, walang damage kahit ano.

So that makes me believe that what happened to that other guy was not true. Most likely, nabanga nga sya.

God Bless his Soul...

Aside from that, nothing else...

So to you Japanese-bike fanatics out there, wag nyo naman maliitin kaming naka-China made bike lang. Please... Because I the way I see it, China manufacturers are trying very hard to remove that bad image that their bikes are not durable enough. My bike's parts are available from the dealer where I bought it.

Bemps,

Musta na? di na natuloy yung plano nating group ride ah... magplano uli tayo. Busy ka pa rin ba?

pre, what can you say about Loncin Cruiser 150 cc. oks ba 'yun? Inaapi kasi ako ng esmi ko kasi I'm planning to get one. ganda kasi ng porma at mura lang. 39 thou lang dito sa amin. Special promo daw kasi nila. Oks ba ang parts at maintenance? I have a dio 2 na gamit ko to get to work.

Same here Whitebear, cruising my china skut around 20-25kph, ran over a deep hole twice, one time alone and another with backride. I stopped and checked my alloy rims (front and rear) and thank goodness its not mis-aligned. :) But we gotta be more careful and watchfull next time. ;)

Guys, do you really believe that a bike with a Japanese brand name has 100% Japan-made parts?

No longer, Yamaha and Honda source their parts from China to cut costs and even have manufacturing and assembly agreements with Chinese motorcycle manufacturers like Jianshe and Lifan.

:argue: :vomit:

kung balak u bumili i suggest honda nalang ala ka pang pagsisisi ang im sure u will satisfy with the performance parang babae din yan eh merong mura pero ala namang kalidad mas mabuti pa ung mahal talaga namang swabe

Yes they do but according to quality and specs prescribed by Honda and Yamaha. But the Chinese scooters/bikes shipped here in the Philippines seems doesn't fall under the same quality being released in the European Market

Exactly. Almost every manufacture of complex equipment does the same. Take a look inside any computer and you will see chips and parts made in half a dozen countries.

The Honda Valkyrie clubs in the US are proud of the fact that in terms of percentage of parts made in America, the Valkyrie is more American than a Harley. I think Harley buy carbs from Taiwan, electrics for somewhere else, etc

My personal opinion is that Apple Computers are the best quality in the world but even most of them are assembled in China. The important thing is the materials, the standards and the quality control.

Frank Woolf

Sorry about the double post but I just remembered something relevant and worth keeping in mind.

I am convinced that a lot of products sold in the Philippines are rejects that are just dumped here either because the buyers (distributors) don't know or care, or because the buyers are buying rejects very cheap to make huge profits.

I notice it with things like light bulbs for the house. We always need a few in the cupboard in the Philippines because almost every week or two one needs replacing. In Hong Kong and in the UK they last for years! We never think about keeping some ready for when one goes dud.

I see products in the supermarkets with the expiry date removed and wonder if these were brought in from overseas after they were thrown out by a supermarket because they had expired.

I heard a story (second hand and not confirmed) that Sharp, who manufacture TVs etc in the Philippines, dump all the rejects on the local market.

It is certainly very possible that something similar could happen with imported bikes.

jianshe city prince is the biggest scooter type being sold by jianshe, the newest is a 200cc displacement unit. may katulad siya sa sinski at a much lower price, and sinski has a better stock of parts than jianshe. i own a jianshe myself, a monark 125 cc. ok naman gamit ko, but when it comes to parts and upgrades, mas mahirap mag order kasi galing lahat sa planta nila sa laguna ang parts nila so matagal ang intayan, unlike sinski mas mura ang parts and readily available. most of my upgrade parts for my jianshe monark i bought at sinski kaloocan hehehe
