Im a very new member of MCP but if been a backrider for somtime. I read a lot about what rider should wear...but what about the back rider? Is there a norm? Is it the same as the rider? are there specific equipment for girls?

TIA.......

a backride's attire should not differ from that of the rider. why, because you are exposed to the same risk that comes with riding.
suggest you consider freewayjammer's suggestions - if you have the dough to support, get quality gears. otherwise, try to get the best gear your budget can afford, that's better than no protection at all.

safe riding rabbitgurl.:D

Market!
Elboy+Knee+Shin Guard - 600php Exceed 10th Ave. Caloocan
Light jacket - Free from Villman computer shop
Zeus Tank bag - 2,500php although hindi nakakabit sa kanya pero I bought it thinking of her. Dun namin nilalagay yung sholder bag nya pag sakay nya at yung mga armors nya pag baba nya nang MC. Very convinient. :)
Tapos I'll be going to MotoWorld/ActiveMoto today to buy her a spine protector ... mga around 1,200php po yun.

One thing a backrider can wear that has an added benefit of increasing the safety for you and the driver - especially at night - is either a reflective vest donned on top of a riding jacket or placing reflective stips on the jacket itself. I can imagine several creative/aesthetic ways of doing that.

(Come to think of it, a lone rider will be also be safer by doing that ;) )

yup..i know know how to backride safely..my bf said get irritated if not mad whenever medyo magalaw ako ng konti sa scooter without him not being informed before..i should have tell him first kung gagalaw ako so as not to ruin his driving..when at times, medyo mabilis ang speed especially if we are cruising c5 or commonwealth avenue, he will say, i will hold on tight to him...safety is his biggest concern and priority always...so whenever we are on the road, i dont have to worry....;)

Agree with Bragster, he is a very safe rider with backride. I just dunno why he doesn't want to have me as a backride:o

Also a backrider!

Dont forget this girls, the sunblock
Kasi sobra init dapat apply ka 30 mins before ka lalabas.
For the face advice ng derma ko Avene SPF50.
Or kahit anong sunblock basta ma protect lang skin natin kasi nakakatanda ang araw.

I bought my reflective stickers from Cartimar. They come in several colors - red, yellow, green, and even black (not recommended) Placed the red ones on the handle of the zippers of my laptop backpack. Works like a charm!

Just last weekend, I saw some reflective vests in that huge DIY shop of that new Robinson's mall at the corner of EDSA and Pioneer. If you're not really into vests, you can just cut off all the reflective stuff and then sew it or double-adhesive it on your jacket

The first reflective strips that i've ever had, I remember buying from Herc. (Pssst! Herc! do you still carry such?)

Hope to have helped.

Hey buddy! I just read this now! The reason why I don't is because I get ticklish when you touch me.
