FreeToRoam February 15th, 2006, 08:34 AM Imho, leather siguro (or ibang thick material) na may absorbent material sa loob to absorb sweat. Ang purpose ng gloves is to protect your hands in case you fall off your bike; protection against the sun, cold, and sweaty hands na delikado madulas sa handle bar. You can buy good quality gloves from as low as a hundred pesos to as high as you can imagine :). You can find it also in many stores (bike shops, dept. stores, hardware, etc.) Imho ko lang yun :). Ano ang ma add nyo guys? And what are the advantages and disadvantages of full fingers (is that the right word?) and yung exposed ang fingers. TungawXP February 15th, 2006, 10:01 AM i'm using the one from SM, exposed finger, half-leather, half-garter, pag-medyo tumagatagal, medyo iba ang amoy, lysol-spray lang ang katapat. bandit February 15th, 2006, 10:14 AM Imho, leather siguro (or ibang thick material) na may absorbent material sa loob to absorb sweat. I do not suggest gloves w exposed fingers. Those are for bicycles only. Why? what part of your body usually touches the ground 1st or is used to stop you from sliding? The hands, unless you know proper falling techniques. What happens if you're using your bare finger to scratch the pavement? :? GEAR_X February 15th, 2006, 10:39 AM mga tol, problem ko kc..bagohan lng ako sa 400cc. i got a 125cc pro hindi masyado mabigat. etong 400cc namamaga kamay ko...masakit sa kamay kpag long rides... Just hold the handles just enough for you to twist the throttle and don't be tensed. Usually, the middle finger and the index fingers are the only ones touching the clutch and brakes, not all the fingers. Caloocan. YoBoY February 20th, 2006, 09:37 AM mayroon sa action hobbies, komine ang brand, for daily use maganda na yung 700petot. doctormaca February 20th, 2006, 09:38 AM good morning, just new in this section. Had a newly acquired Z200 motorstar and somebody said that their stock tires are slippery. Any comments or feedbacks regarding this unit? YoBoY February 20th, 2006, 09:40 AM doc maraming info regarding sa Z200 sa Motorstar thread. ryan February 21st, 2006, 12:36 AM I guess it will depend sa budget and priorities mo. Just like your head, you have to take good care of your hands. Some pointers to look at: 1) Fit - Has to be comfortable so it doesnt distract you when riding. 2) Protection - Carbon or hard knuckle armors give more protection but not as comfortable as those without. Padded palms offers better protection and are more comfortable (absorbs vibration). 3) Materials used - Quality leather or high-tech fabrics (please note the word "quality") are both good. Ventilated leather and fabrics are even more comfortable although not waterproof. Synthetic leather on palm gives better grip. 3) Length - Gaultlet-type (yung lampas sa wrist) has best protection but a bit of a hassle to wear. Short gloves are useful for better movement especially in stop and go traffic. 4) Budget - Can be anywhere from 100-10000 pesos. But what you wear tells what kind of rider you are. I say get a set of quality gloves you can afford without sacrificing the other important points mentioned. :) |
