Bro, suggest ko na try mo ang toothpaste. I-buff mo lang ng maige. Use chamois pag nag buff ka to prevent scratches compare if you are using ordinary basahan. Hope na makatulong po yan.

This is proven effective Bro. Try it! Pero bago yung toothpaste, gumamela leaves muna tsong mas madulas ang kalalabasan ng lens/visor.

with that kind of scratch (deep).....no other solution but to replace your lens..:)

Then today, I went out on my vespa for the first time this year pag angat ko nga chinbar ng helmet, it hit my new windshield!!! %$#@$!!! so i searched for ways to remove the scratch. i tried the toothpaste on my face shield at natanggal sya agad!! thank you!!!! bukas i'll try the toothpaste on the windshield. you saved me at least $30!!!

yung gumamela di ko pa natry kasi winter pa, wala pa flowers dito. yung maxam wala yan dito kaya ang gamit ko colgate. ubra naman. goodluck!! :banana:

tanda ko noon, my sisters uses gumamela para gumawa ng bubbles. dinidikdik nila then mix with water. i think this will work.:)

di ko lang matandaan kung flowers, leaves, or both eh pede. :D

Dont use toothpaste

Its abrasive, it will only ruin you face shields in the long run.
If you want proof you can try puting some toothpaste on a small area of a plastic clear CD cover (the brittle transparent one similar to those used in cassette tapes). Rub the toothpaste on that small area then rinse it with water. You'll notice that the part where you rubbed the toothpaste was a bit cloudy than the part that was not affected. The same thing goes with your faceshields. The scracthes wont disappear because toothpaste only masked it with more minute/fine scracthes.

Point
you can't really remove scracthes on your face shields, you need to take good care of it very well. If the scratches starts to obstruct your vision then you really need to buy a new faceshield.

ung gumamela ndi pede pang-alis ng gasgas. siguro panlinis saka para dumulas ang shield.

buffing can remove light scratches, but sometimes it leaves imperfections on the shield. parang nagkakaron ng grado ang lens.

buy po kayo Displex Display Polish.... yung ginagamit pantanggal ng mga scratches sa display ng mga PDAs and Cellphones... ito ginamit ng friend ko sa kayang lens ng AGV nya to remove a small scratch, saw one being sold at ebay months ago, price nya ata ay P550... pero mas maganda kung bili ka na lang ng bagong lens...

i use JOY. if it can smooth our plates, why not our helmets. And use tear-offs on your visor to prevent scrathces.

may naisip din akong pang protect ng visor.... kung bumibili kayo sa CD-R king mapapansin nyo yung plastic sheet na pambalot sa cdr e pwede gawing pangtapal sa visor. Dapat nga lang magaling ka mag flat out ng sheet. Maybe use a blower.....

anyway, i sa visor diko pa na try pero sa mismong helmet ang gamit ko ay wipe-out. Di sya nakakatanggal ng scratch pero nalilinis nya ang scratch to make it invisible to naked eye. Pag sinalat mo lang dun mo malalam na may gasgas pala.

metal polish lng ok na glow metal polish ang ginamit ko sa shield mura pa at hindi sya malabo....

pwede nga siguro yung CD scratch remover dyan. pero meron ding nabibili na LCD scratch remover baka pwede din yon pero mahal ng mga yan.

one of the best scratch removers na alam ko eh yung white rubbing compound para sa pintura ng kotse..
pareho din ito ng "banana theory" pero this one is really being used by car detailers and yung windshield glass talaga ang pinaggagamitan..tried it on cd's and it works as well..
1. get a small amount of rubbing compound in a clean wet cloth then start wiping your shield in a circular motion with mild pressure hanggang maramdaman mong natutuyo na yung compound.
2. do this a few times and rinse with water every round till you are satisfied na wala na yung gasgas
3. wipe dry and apply paste car wax dun sa lens para kumintab at hindi mag-fog.
4. kung talagang mild lang yung gasgas, paste car wax will do
mura lang ang rubbing compound at paste car wax sa mga auto supply..

bosing tanong mo sa gumagawa ng relos kung ano yung ginagamit nilang polish sa pagtanggal ng gasgas sa salamin ng relos nila. kasi dati nabasagan ako ng salamin ng relos pero ala syang kasukat na glass type or plastic kaya nagfabricate sya pati yung curb sa loob para di tumama yung kamay ng relos nagawan ding ng paraan, inukit nya yung gitna then ginamitan nya ng polish natanggal lahat yung dinaanan ng liha. yung siguro ang magandang pangtanggal sa mga gasgas ng helmet mo.

Turtle Car wax. 30 pesos lang mga papi ang isang sachet nito. ok din ito para sa bike. :)

kung hindi makuha ng car wax, use meguiars plast-x. :)

mga pre ito makakatulong tiyak, using Meguiars plastx scratch remover on plastic car headlights, subok ko na to, price ng meguiars 296ml nasa 500++ sa concorde or ACE yata meron.
