Ichthus Janz March 15th, 2007, 02:45 PM Dont use toothpaste Its abrasive, it will only ruin you face shields in the long run. If you want proof you can try puting some toothpaste on a small area of a plastic clear CD cover (the brittle transparent one similar to those used in cassette tapes). Rub the toothpaste on that small area then rinse it with water. You'll notice that the part where you rubbed the toothpaste was a bit cloudy than the part that was not affected. The same thing goes with your faceshields. The scracthes wont disappear because toothpaste only masked it with more minute/fine scracthes. Point you can't really remove scracthes on your face shields, you need to take good care of it very well. If the scratches starts to obstruct your vision then you really need to buy a new faceshield. jake101jake March 15th, 2007, 03:41 PM pwede po ba maxam toothpaste dyan? :D hehehehehehe:O :O :O 2fast4u March 17th, 2007, 05:21 AM Toothpaste? Gumamela? Ayos ito ha. Dentista na Albularyo pa! honestly speaking, are you sure with this? kajunn March 17th, 2007, 05:26 AM is there such a thing as scratch proof except real glass? wasted_23 March 17th, 2007, 08:41 AM ung gumamela ndi pede pang-alis ng gasgas. siguro panlinis saka para dumulas ang shield. buffing can remove light scratches, but sometimes it leaves imperfections on the shield. parang nagkakaron ng grado ang lens. D-MAN March 17th, 2007, 04:33 PM buy po kayo Displex Display Polish.... yung ginagamit pantanggal ng mga scratches sa display ng mga PDAs and Cellphones... ito ginamit ng friend ko sa kayang lens ng AGV nya to remove a small scratch, saw one being sold at ebay months ago, price nya ata ay P550... pero mas maganda kung bili ka na lang ng bagong lens... check out this website. http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/3298.htm archico01 September 7th, 2007, 03:44 AM up ko lang yung thread... nakapanood ako sa dailymotion.com or metacafe.com yata yun.... ginamit nilang pangtanggal ng scratch sa CD (i guess pareho lang ng surface to sa visor ng helmet) is banana!!! yes! banana! steps: 1. balatan ang saging at hatiin ng kutsilyo para pantay ang hiwa 2. yung part ng pinaghatian, ikuskos mo yung saging sa lens with circular motion 3. then using the banana peelings, kuskos mo din in a circular motion. 4. use a clean cloth to remove all banana residue 5. spray a glass cleaner to the visor 6. use a microfiber cloth to finish up the visor. oo alam ko... tunog kalokohan... pero worth trying kahit sa lumang visor. Try going to www.metacafe.com or www.dailymotion.com and search HOW TO REMOVE CD SCRATCH TriFlector September 7th, 2007, 08:07 AM up ko lang yung thread... nakapanood ako sa dailymotion.com or metacafe.com yata yun.... ginamit nilang pangtanggal ng scratch sa CD (i guess pareho lang ng surface to sa visor ng helmet) is banana!!! yes! banana! steps: 1. balatan ang saging at hatiin ng kutsilyo para pantay ang hiwa 2. yung part ng pinaghatian, ikuskos mo yung saging sa lens with circular motion 3. then using the banana peelings, kuskos mo din in a circular motion. 4. use a clean cloth to remove all banana residue 5. spray a glass cleaner to the visor 6. use a microfiber cloth to finish up the visor. oo alam ko... tunog kalokohan... pero worth trying kahit sa lumang visor. Di sya nakakatanggal ng scratch pero nalilinis nya ang scratch to make it invisible to naked eye.
