yes talaga... dapat talaga meron gears kesa kung anoanong abubot ang nilalagay sa bike (psssssssssssstttttt), safety gears first!.. 1st priority mo bilin yun, kaso depende din sa status mo kung may pang bili ka, (pero naka bili kanga ng MC e :) ) kaso yung ibang riders late na nila na rerealiz,.. thats what MCP are for to help us. ride safe!

I think he's pertaining more on apparels (i.e T-shirts, caps, bandanas etc.) rather than safety gear. I believe there is a market for biker apparels...medyo hilaw pa nga lang. For me, kung trip ko yung item, why not. Pero I would think twice about the purchase, sa mahal ng gasolina ngayun..my 2 cents lang po. :)

bingsuperpangit, are u a sir? or a mam? anyway, tama po si tuxster.. im pertaining to t-shirts, longsleeves, hindi po yun gear.. anyway, i appreciate ur reply.. post a message nalang po ulit if u have more comments.. thanks.. thanks din tuxster.. would u prefer an imported brand or a local brand (pero same quality as imported po..) thanks.

personally, i'd rather have riding gear that doesn't look like a battle suit. i like riding jeans from icon, joe rocket and spidi because they look like regular jeans. i've seen a few khaki riding jackets that look like regular jackets but can't seem to find a store for them here.

boylit, yeah that's exactly what i'm talking about.. if u dont mind, does it mean you prefer imprted (well known) brands? what about a local brand that has very good quality (materials and worksmanship)? thanks for your replies. hope the others who view this would do the same even jusa simple YES or NO to answer my initial questions.. thanks.

yes, i buy motorcycle specific (look at my avatar) apparel but usually i only buy the one that came from china but syempre if a have the budget gusto ko din nun mga orig rossi products, BUT sa riding gear i see to it na "quality" yun suot ko.

i have no preference for local or imported. so long as (1) the gear i am purchasing can provide me the protection that i need and (2) it won't make me look like robocop.

no. 1 is quite difficult for a local company to satisfy. for one, i tend to look for reviews from people who have crashed the item of clothing. i've seen a couple of icon jeans crashed and have provided the protection they claim. assuming that there is no one i know with personal history with the item i want, i look into magazines. i don't look at the reviews section. i prefer the "rider's kit" section where they show gear that's personally used by the tester's. in particular, items that have been crashed by the testers. magazines like bike (from the u.k.) good resources for these.

one locally manufactured brand i use is teknic. i own a full leather suit and a leather jacket from that brand. my wife uses a leather jacket from that brand too. i use a joe rocket leather/mesh combo jacket and have seen a fellow rider crash in one at a fairly brisk pace.

then there's sidi and gaerne boots which i can recommend as i've seen someone get t-boned by a jeep right smack at the boot. the boot's armor did it's job with no damage to the rider's leg except for some bruising. this was a very strong impact. strong enough to break off part of the engine block of the bike.

my problem is that most of these make me look like robocopy when i wear them. wouldn't it be nice to have armored pants that look like chinos? maybe a riding jacket that looks like a cardigan? boots with armor hidden and given a bit more styling.

mag sir, thanks for the input.. sir boylit, im pertaining to clothes, shirts you wear under your gear (leather jacket/ padded pants). the items im pertaining to really don't offer any protection.. they are the ones u use under ur protective gear.. yet, they have the appeal/style of bikers. they have biker related designs, slogans or one liners..

Ok, racebiker. What are you selling? hehehe! Jk!
Shirts, clothing, etc is sometimes used as a media to tell people what you are and what you do. I wear shirts with mc statements to show people what I am. Share ko lang.

Yes, that would be a good idea..

personally I yearn for the protection of full leather suit but I don't want to look like someone who race.. (yung takaw hamon kung baga) besides, still can't afford.. So personally gamit na lng ako ng mga by piece armor tapos cover ko na lng ng maong pants, and jacket..

If you can make something:
1.weather proof (good for hot weather but water proof/resisitant just in case it rains)
2. good looking but not racey (takaw hamon).
3. bonus protection (not required since it is for armor covering)
4. and of course affordable!

I'll be interested.. ü

salamat mga sir.. gary samson and carl200. yeah for sure the products will be quite affordable.. pang pinoy ang presyo pero pang world class ang quality para hindi talo ang mga riders/bikers natin.. thanks for the input.. any more suggestion MCP members?

mag sir, thanks for the input.. sir boylit, im pertaining to clothes, shirts you wear under your gear (leather jacket/ padded pants). the items im pertaining to really don't offer any protection.. they are the ones u use under ur protective gear.. yet, they have the appeal/style of bikers. they have biker related designs, slogans or one liners.. most of the time i wear a coolmax inner shirt under my riding gear. if you can make a long sleeve shirt, long underpants and short pants using coolmax preferably with a compression fit, i'd probably get from you. your competition include: komine (1 pc. coolmax undersuit), oakley (long sleeve compression shirt, compression pants and coolmax long sleeve shirts), nike (dri-fit shirts), adidas (coolmax shirts), rudy project (compression shirts and pants), generic/fake coolmax gear (not really coolmax material), north face (coolmax shirts) of the above that i have or have used, here are some comments:

komine - one piece design does not slide around when you wear your suit. good price at 3k or somewhere in that range. downside is when you need to use the toilet. nike - bunches up as they are loose fit. designed mostly as outergear not undergear. pricing is around 1k+ for short sleeve shirts.
oakley - very very nice. i have 2 sets of compression shirts and pants that work wonders under leather. keeps me cool even in hot days. the downside is that the shirts are over 3k each and the pants are near 3k.
adidas - same as nike.
north face - long sleeve available. nice and cool. but loose like the nikes and adidas. pricing in the 3k range
generic - real cheap at a few hundred bucks per shirt but they don't really keep you cool. examples are cheap cycling shirts

if you can come up with a coolmax (dri-fit or whatever you want to call it) long sleeve compression shirt and a coolmax long sleeve compression pants at under 2k, i'd be more than willing to purchase from you. note that i'm willing to pay for genuine sweat wicking material that actually works.

sir boylit.. i really like ur responses.. very informative.. u seem to know quite a lot about these things.. clarify ko lang.. wen u say compression shirts/gear u mean they are body hugging or tight fitted? is that it? thanks.. yeah. i and my wife have go on gear shopping sprees a lot. the last items we purchased were the north face stuff. after a few uses, i can say i'm not happy with them and am back to using the oakley compression shirts. compression shirts/pants are tight fitting items kinda like scuba gear. but the ones we use are made with sweat wicking material that pulls sweat off our skin. these shirts/pants also make it easier for us to put on and take off our leathers. it also keeps the inner lining of our jackets and pants from sticking against our skin and the evaporating sweat helps cool us down during the ride. if you do plan to manufacture these things, i highly recommend you make them long sleeve and that you place a thumb loop at the end of the sleeve to make putting it on easier.

Well thats why to do this business at first you need to start small, get your friends to wear them and let them show it. Then put some here on this forum for sale, then start selling at other small places first. Then you can expand from there... Never know if it goes good I can sell some here in US. Good luck and let us know...
