View Full Version : TIPID TIPS!!! be kuripot now!
jawfree October 21st, 2005, 11:48 AM ok, guys and gals out there! share your TIPID Tips here. hindi lang sa MC's natin. Tipid tips in general. para kay Juan dela Cruz:
ill start....
marami pa.... meanwhile kayo muna, share your tips...
NSCB October 21st, 2005, 12:25 PM 4. Avoid blipping your throttle during stops....
5. Follow the recommended idling RPM in your MCs manual.
6. Keep your ride well maintained.
7. Learn DIY ("Do It Youself") stuff...you can save on labor cost...
8. Plan ur trips, even if MC lang gamit mo.
9. Instead of buying DVDs (even pirated ones)...rent na lang.
grassboy October 21st, 2005, 01:17 PM 100 pesos lng lage dala ko araw2 pwere nlng kung my kailangan bilhin, ksama na diyan pagkain at parking, this way no choice ako kaya uwi nlng ako :). Pathetic dba? :) Ganyan si Juan De La Cruz ngaun, pati ako naaawa sa sarili ko eh, pero ganun talaga, we all have to live with it. But the most important thing is masaya ka ksi my pambayad ka sa monthly bill ng motor mo :).
Safe riding to all!
follow correct and standard tire pressure
leave earlier than your usual time, this way hindi ka magmamadali. you can just cruise on your way to work or to somewhere else you are going
give your bike a tap everytime you arrive at your destination and say "thanks for the great ride! next time ulit ha!" even our bikes need that too .. a tap on the back so to speak .. it will keep you rolling ..
he he he
peace!
DawnRipper October 22nd, 2005, 07:02 AM warm up the bike, mas maganda ang takbo pag well warmed up, hindi yung pag start rev ng rev ng rev kagay, parang adik!
katsch October 22nd, 2005, 05:36 PM i am absolutely positive that the biker juan dela cruz will never run out of ideas on facing up to the challenges imposed by non-stop price increases while salaries remain stuck to 'prehistoric' levels.
proof being all the posts made so far. in fact a lot of them may already have been in use by many other bikers.
but the government must also show, through action and by example, what it is doing for its part.
maybe a separate thread but is anyone witness to concrete measures this government is doing to scrimp and save? of course we must know by now that photo ops and ningas-cogon campaigns do not count.
verifiable accounts of such measures should spur joe schmo's like you and me to really tighten our belts.
jfdvrooooom October 22nd, 2005, 09:28 PM 1. Basta ako laging nagbabaon... badtrip kc napasukan kong company walang libreng food.
2. Nabawasan na rin yosi ko... 5 sticks na lang the whole day.
mandon August 18th, 2008, 12:13 PM do what you preach.....
as for me pag naka cage....i shift to neutral kung pababa ang daan....
sa motor....i make it a point na 60 to 80 kph (at the right gear) ang takbo.....i read somewhere that at this speed....pinaka efficient ang makina.....
never changed my orig carb to the gas guzzling aftermarket carb para tumulin....
ron August 18th, 2008, 12:18 PM wag rev ng rev pag nakahinto. :)

haha.. ayos to ah..
tagal na pala neto..
iCe213 August 18th, 2008, 12:55 PM kung pang everyday use:
-- hangga't maaari, iwasan nating dumaan sa sobrang matraffic at mataong lugar
-- cruising mode lang lagi (wag parang resing resing)
-- hangga't maaari make use of your top gear at average speed on mid range or low RPM :D
add nyo na lang po ang kulang
ch1ngy August 18th, 2008, 01:22 PM wag gamit ng gamit ng preno at engine brake para makatipid sa gas...
peteVLSQZ August 18th, 2008, 11:01 PM MY CONTRIBUTION TO YOUR "TIPID TIPS"... sinulat ko to para sa mga OFW katulad ko na mga magagastos sa buhay..:D. pero kailangan nating magtipid at maging yumaman din. so mga ihos mga ihas kung gusto nyong RICH KAYO..take time to read this. cguradong may mapupulot kayo, garantisado yan at totoo. walang paltos.
HOW TO GET FILTHY RICH (paano maging milyonaryo)
Saving money isn't about whether or not you know how to score screaming bargains.
It has more to do with your attitude toward money.
Many millionaires, in fact, have frugal ways.
Understanding how personal traits can influence your finances is an essential ingredient for building wealth.
Here are 13 key traits: (kasama po ang translation sa tagalog- upang maintindihan ng mga OFW, DH at mga kabayan)
1. Patience “mapag hintay”, “pasensya muna sa wala kaysa umutang”
Patience is one of the most important traits when it comes to saving money. This means waiting until the first wave of product hype has passed, keeping a car for an extra few years before getting another one and waiting until something you want fits into your budget instead of putting it on credit. Patience is often the difference between creating savings and being in debt. Having the patience to wait until you find a good deal is a cornerstone of good finances.
Live below your means. (“pagkasyahin sa isang kumot”) Remind yourself that he who hesitates when it comes to shopping often decides he doesn't need the item after all and doesn't want it as much as he thought he did. Extravagance is dangerous.
When you're satisfied, there is no reason to spend money on nonessentials. The sole purpose of commercials is to make you believe that buying a product or service will make you happier, wealthier, better looking or improve whatever isn't bringing you satisfaction.
People spend because they want to capture the excitement shown in advertisements. When you are satisfied with what you have and your life (not trying to live like those on TV), your finances will be in a lot better shape.
3. Organization “may kaayusan sa pera, tamang gastos at walang utang binabayaran”
Being organized can make you more productive and ensure that all the many issues pertaining to personal finances are addressed.
It means not paying late fees, not buying two of everything, knowing deadlines that can affect your finances and getting more done in less time. All these can greatly benefit your finances.
4. Discipline “disiplina sa pag-impok ng salapi”
You need the discipline to continue to save money for specific, long-term goals every month or a year or so. Save at least 10% of your pay deposited on you account every pay period.
Personal finance isn't a way to get rich quick, but is a disciplined execution of your lifetime plans.
5. Reflectiveness “hwag ulitin ang pagkakamaling - gumastos”
It's important to be able to look at your financial decisions and reflect on their results.
You're going to make financial mistakes. Everyone does.
The key is to learn from those mistakes so you don't make them again, or recognize if you keep repeating them.
The economy and our earnings don't always match our expectations.
Unexpected developments wreak havoc to elaborate financial plans. When this happens, changes are needed to deal with the new circumstances. Creativity is essential to accomplish this. Creativity allows you to make something last longer rather than purchasing it when you don't have the money. It means juggling money to stay out of debt rather than simply paying with a credit card. It means finding a cheaper alternative when money is tight.
In these ways, creativity plays a large role in keeping finances in order.
Having curiosity helps you learn, study and improve yourself.
The curiosity of wanting to know more, to take the time to study and then take what is learned and put into practice is an important process that is driven by curiosity.
8. Risk-Taking “suriing mabuti at bantayan ang negosyo, Baka malugi, kung hindi ay swerte” “no guts- no glory ika nga”
To build wealth, one needs to be willing to take risks. This doesn't mean uncalculated risks. It means weighing all the options and taking calculated risks when appropriate.
The stock market has risks involved, but over the long term, history shows that it provides good returns on money that is invested wisely. Those who fear risk altogether end up saving money in accounts that likely lose money to inflation in the long run.
The importance of setting and working toward goals is obvious. If you don't know where you are going, it's difficult to get there. It helps your personal finances immensely if you have money goals and are motivated to reach the goals that you have set for yourself.
Those who lack goals don't have a road map to take them to the financial destination they want.
Creating wealth and staying out of debt rarely comes about without a lot of hard work.
Many people might hope that the lottery will solve all their financial problems. The true path to financial freedom, however, is to work hard to earn money while educating yourself to continue to have more value and increase your salary.
You may not possess all of the above traits. But knowing them can help you make changes so that you nourish the ones that you have and obtain the ones you're missing.
Ultimately they will help you with your personal finances and create a plan to accumulate the wealth you desire.
11. Avoid using credit cards (walang plastic cards)
If you have credit card debt, concentrate on paying it off as quickly as possible. The interest you're paying is money you could be saving. “Totoo yan, kabayan”. itapon mo na credit card mo.
12. Educate yourself about investing.
Invest in mutual funds and have money deducted from your bank account automatically every month to invest in these funds.
12. If possible and feasible, own your own business.
13. Have a written financial plan that includes your goals, your net worth, your debt-to-income ratio, your savings and investing plans, and your monthly budget.
KUNG MAY PERA KA NAMANG NAITABI, UMPISAHAN MO NANG PALAGUIN, HWAG MONG BAWASAN SA GASTUSIN…TIIS KA LANG MUNA NG kaunting PANAHON.
