I just want to share, since dalawa na sa officemates ko ang nawalan ng helmet sa parking....

There are other riders who trust the parking attendants or guard in-charge sa parking area and they just lock thier expensive helmets sa MC... specifically honda wave eh meron lock sa upuan and pwede mo ng lock yung helmet mo...

I dont know kung bagong style or luma ng style but if you will lock your helmet on your MC and just using the Helmet strap, kahit naka ipit pa yan sa upuan, it will only take them less than 10seconds to cut the helmet strap using cutter or swiss knife... pwede naman ipatahi ulit yung strap together with the lock.

now, hindi man nila bitbitin yung MC mo sa van eh nabitbit naman yung helmet mo na pwedeng isakay sa loob ng kotse... Index price kahit made in Taiwan yan, normally it will cost us more than P1,500 para mabili yung gusto natin design... P1,500 is not a joke for us.. baka kasi mauso ang nakawan ng Helmet and next thing we know may murang 2nd hand, good condition helmet for sale sa Banawe... P1,000 each.... tapos makikita mo yung nawala mong helmet naka display sa showcase...

Answer: bitbitin ang helmet

Tama ka bro,, kelangan dala dala mo parati helmet mo...

also the more expensive your lid is, the more you would be conscious of protecting it...

i got a KNOX backpak which is designed for MC's.yung lower compartment nya pwede mo i extend to accomodate your lid.

I lost a still relatively fresh HJC CL-12 in Ortigas Center this way. :( A rather expensive lesson. Now with a spanking new CL-14, I never leave it on the bike... not even for a few minutes. I always bring it with me to my workplace or to my clients' in its carrying bag.

My officemate lost a pair of rubber mattings on his Nouvo while parked in our basement parking. He said that each floor mat costs around P800 or P1,600 for the pair.

Pity. They'll steal anything these days.

i never leave my helmet in my bike, worse, entrust it to the people in the package counters....most of these guys dont have any idea or simply...just dont care. here are the reasons:

a) they dont know how much your helmet costs,
b) that it may be rendered useless if dropped or banged in their shelves
c) they would even clip the number on your visors....

i'd rather carry it with me...a little bit of a hassle...but a little sacrifice goes a long, long way....

As for me I always bring my 508w sa work and my colleagues always make a big deal out of it - in a positive way, that is. Asking me about my bike, my lid, and everything related to it. Good thing they're mostly girls and are prolly fascinated by the whole 'rider mystique' hehe. So yeah it's a bit of hassle to lug it around but it's safer and i feel a lot cooler too. fogi foints ba :C

In commercial areas i haven't had too much experience bringing my helmet with me inside malls and the like pero depende rin sa lugar. Oftentimes I bring my HJC half-face na kasya naman sa compartment ng scoot ko (pag pipilitin)

Pero yes I would definitely carry the helmet with me as much as possible

in my own experience, I would prefer bringing my bulky helmet that losing it!

So lesson is, wag kayong magtiwala sa sorrounding nyo eve thou taga dun kayo!

Better safe that sorry.

Happy Holidays!!!

may isa pang solusyon dyan....

Hmm...

I only leave my helmet on my bike kung dala ko yung chain lock... I run the chain through a solid part of the bike, then run it through my helmet. This works because I always use a full-face helmet anyway.

IF I don't have the chain lock with me, I carry my helmet and jacket around with me... I NEVER considered it a hassle because I know, from personal experience, that both of those safety equipments saved me from massive injury/ death... My jacket's getting old, pero sentimental value eh... Can't let go of it...

Treat your helmet as you would your toothbrush... don't lend them to anyone... and don't leave them just anywhere. :O

If ever you will leave your helmet with your bike, use a reliable cable lock to attached it to your bike...and park it in a visible area, preferrably near the guard post...Batiin mo na rin yung guard na-boss,pakitingnan-tingnan naman yung bike..
