Index helmets are not very good anyway so no one is going to make fake ones they are a budget price helmet so im sure yours is original :crazy: Maybe you should look for another brand such as HJC or OGK , OR ARAI- SHOEI :punk: TAKE CARE BUDDY :)

Previously, I was using an Index. It's cheap, definitely budget-ok. However, lalong lumaki gastos ko when I discovered that helmets that are not approved by safety standards organizations like DOT and SNELL are not safe to use. Everybody admits that riding a motorcycle is very risky, especially in our country where there are so many undisciplined drivers.

Index is not DOT nor SNELL approved, whether it's fake or genuine. If you're tight on budget, I suggest you get a Zeus or HJC helmet. I got my HJC CL-12 helmet at around P4200. Zeus helmets are even cheaper.

I used my Index helmet for just a couple of months, bought it at P1200. If I only knew that it's not safe, sana nag-HJC na ako agad. Yes, price is always a difference. But you have to remember that it is your head that you're protecting. A very slight damage in your brain can leave you useless for the rest of your life.

Just a little advice... make sure your helmet is DOT or SNELL approved, whatever brand it might be.. :)

sa malalaking mc shops ka bumili sa 10th ave, wag sa mga booth lang.
tama sila get either the zeus P2+++ or hjc P3+++ puro fullface to ha.
mas mahal ang mga modular.

Be carefull na lang siguro sa pagbili ng mga helmets na index, kasi meron ding gumagawa ng fake nyan, try going to raon, quiapo. They are selling an index helmet for around 700 to 1000 php.

Question lang, if your index helmet ba e, not well-padded sa loob, meaning parang manipis lang ung foam na nakabalot. Does that mean na japeyks ang helmet mo? meron kasing ganung mga index helmet, pero may kasama naman syang service manuals, bags, box etc. just asking mga bros.

Index helmets are good DOT certified helmets rather than wearing sidewalk helmets or nothing at all... BTW, my INDEX helmet has saved my head 2x...

DOT CERTIFIED INDEX HELMETS?!! REALLY?! That's good news for most of us because I think Index is the most popular helmet in the Phil, especially to those who uses underbones, scooters, etc.

if the index is a full face helmet, the rubber parts are of good quality. they also bear the name "Index" inside that rubber part of the chin guard. also, the fake ones usually have those plastic retention locks while the real ones are made of steel.

(medyo lihis sa topic pero related) QUESTION... mayroon bang studies na nagdedetermine ng protection ng isang helmet? example... helmet "A" is will save you on a crash from a maximun 70kph while helmet "B" can save you from a crash from a max 190kph. kasi di ba isang factor yun sa pag bili mo ng helmet kasi kung stock 50cc scoot lang gamit mo helmet "A" lang need mo but if cbr600 dala mo helmet "B" dapat gamit mo.

i got a modular helmet from cyclemar, KAZ ang brand nya, i bought it for 2k, wala ako nakita DOT certification, pero makapal naman ang padding nya, safe na rin kaya ang ganung helmet, or should i buy another one? :?

im using a 903-22 series ng index helmet for 2000 petot. para malaman kung orig o peke

tingnan mo yung logo sa loob, dapat naka indicate dun sa patch lahat ng proper care sa helmet at may nakalagay na made in thailand saka deretso ang tahi sa loob.

saka the helmet must have a manual , bag saka box . :)

u shud have saved up ur money and buy a certified helmet.. nde porke makapal yung paddings sa loob ng helmet, good protection na sya..

when we spill be it on a 70kph or 150kph, one can never know how bad our heads might crash on the pavement. sometimes even those slowly moving experience spills which figures in a bad head impact. would you bet on your head on it? the reason why we want to have a reliable helmet is that we should give our heads the best protection we can give it, (if you really value your life).

nakita ko din yang kaz na modular kanina lang nung nagtingin tingin ako. makapal nga sya. upon inspection and testing, napansin ko lang dito sa model na ito na pag i-flip up mo sya, kailangan itaas mo yung chin guard halos hanggang dun sa may tuktok ng helmet at di sya naglo-lock in place. meron tendency na bigla mag drop pabalik yung chinguard pero di naman maglatch dun sa locks nya.

meron ako nakita kanina na mukhang mas okay at pulido ang gawa.... R.Evolution ang brand nung modular helmet. simple ang design at astig na din ang porma. as for the construction eh di pahuhuli sa quality ng index. P3T nga lang ang price dun sa mayya.

I beg to disagree. Wala pa akong nakikitang Index na helmet that made it to SNELL's certification list. Maski sa website nila, walang nakalagay na SNELL certified sila. DOT, maybe some, but SNELL, I don't think so.

Hmm.. nabura din pala yung pinost ko dito that proves that Index helmets are non-DOT nor SNELL compliance.

I hope pumasa na rin sa mga safety tests ang Index. I have a lot of biker friends that uses them eh and I think it is the most popular helmet in the Phil. Wherever I go, I always see bikers wear it. I accept that the designs are great and it's cheaper.
