HJC CL14 po sir. Very reasonable price! PHP4400 at Cycle One, sa Caloocan po. The helmet has 5 holes in front and 2 at the back, for ventilation. :>

I highly recommend this helmet sir, for a very reasonable price and quality.

I'd rather recommend a Zeus 990 than an Index Helmet. Not all index helmets are DOT certified. Zeus helmets are DOT certified, especially the 990 model which is also SNELL certified (SNELL M2000).

A zeus 990 costs around 1,800 to P2000 depending on the dealer.

The second cheapest DOT and SNELL certified helmet should be HJC's CL series. (CL 12, CL 14) but will fetch around P4000++.

I'm using a CL 14, btw.

bro, i agree with sir kompressor. better choose a helmet which is DOT & snell or perhaps DOT & ECE certified.

zeus is cheapest for Snell/DOT lid. personally, i suggest you get HJC's CL-12... it's both Snell & DOT. solid colors should be just P3k flat. check it out from Triumph JT along rizal ave. ext. between 8th & 9th avenue i think.

yes, it cost P1k more than index... but at least it's both DOT & Snell.

me? i use a smoke CL-14... just like sir kompressor. :C

@francis,

so far you'll notice from the feedback...most are using HJC CL14, (i myself included...) kc, when we say cheap...we mean lowest price without sacrificing quality...the quality of the CL14 is comparable to the leading brands which usually sells for at least 10K

check also some INDEX helmets...usually sells at 1.5k up...careful lang maraming imitation nyan...dont forget to get the exact size....better read on some of the threads regarding helmets for futher info....

good luck...happy hunting...

HEHEHE

Salamat po ulit!

sir francis722,

The quality of the helment is indicative of the price. In other words. Is the price is too low to believe it is because it is a fake helmet. Right now Ace has Shoei helmets that are not Shoei and you should stay away from them. I would recommend ECE and Dot just because ECE is more stringent in their aproval of helmets. They test each batch made of each model not just the first batch. That makes sure that each batch is good and nothing went wrong somewhere in the proscess which could happen. With Snell they just test once until the model is changed. So as you see the ECE is a better choice in making sure that each batch is good. Just make sure that is fits tight because over time it will loosen a little. If it hurts your ears putting it on that is a good sign if you don't like it hurting your ears then take up finger painting! If it is not tight it will move in a crash and can do more harm than good, like killing you. Stay away from cheap helmets first the helmet breaks then your head breaks
NO PRO NO GO:O

Sir,

Zeus 990, DOT certified @ PhP1,800.00 after 10% discount. Ask for discount. Iba kasi they post at MCP but do not give discount to MCP registered users. Got mine at RKP Makati. Most MC dealers carry Zeus.

Hirap half face pag semplang mo mukha unang tatama chin mo disgrasya.

Just drive safe maiiwasan ang accident.

God Bless.

Sa certification

Mas okay ang e.c.e. certificate kaysa sa d.o.t.

Ang e.c.e. - european community standard yan -- mas strict kasi mas maraming bansa ang nakikialam and they really require companies to submit loads and loads of test helmets before they can get approved.

Ang d.o.t. - minimum standard ng u.s.a. yan -- it only takes a little politics to get this certification -- this is expensive to acquire w/c is why a number of helmet companies around the world don't even bother getting this certificate unless they intend to market their goods in the u.s.a. -- marami dyan nakikicolorum na lang with their joint partners in the u.s.a.

Ang snell - this is the REAL certification for the u.s.a. -- they are not only strict -- they will only approve full face helmets!!! This is pretty much like e.c.e.

Dito lang tayo nasanay sa DOT standards w/c is pretty much like a bayaran standard.

If the helmet is ece certified -- okay na yun

INDEX / ZEUS / SHOIE / AGV / ARAI / HJC / KHI / FULLMER / NOLAN / FM

All the helmets mentioned above are e.c.e. certified == kaya all these helmets are GOOD!!!
