Hello ryansky,
you want to learn more about C200 & i read (in your profile)that you also dream of owning a Z200. Good choice should you choose any of the two.
I own both bikes right now & both are serving me very well. They have different feel when being driven. The Z200 is more of a road hugger while the C200 is a cross between a street & off-road bike. The looks & engines are similar. Both engines are clones of the Honda's 200cc engine. Both have their own weaknesses (please refer to the threads that have discussed these problems). But overall, I may confidently say that they are both good beginers bike and both will serve you well with proper care & maintainance.
The Z200 already has set up a group while the C200 guys are in the process. Its seldom you'll find a C200 on the street coz it sort came out in limited numbers only. Ika nga If you'll own one, you'll be part of the elite group of this bike.
an assurance though, whichever you choose, you'll be happy. Brand new C200 is priced somewhere in Php63T while Z200 is somewhere Php65T. If you opt to buy a 2nd hand, i know of both being sold at about Php50T each! (bigyan mo na lang ako ng finder's fee, hehehe) :R
Get one before October 9 & you may join the forthcoming EB of the LOncin guys. The Z200 guys also have their regular EB's. Good luck in your bike search. :R

exacto bro!
It gives you that feeling as if you're riding a Ducati...better yet a Bueller (tama ba spelling?) hehehe. :R
Ano bro? have you fixed your sched for our oct. 9 EB? makapitbahay lang tayo, sumaglit ka na. 4theride will be coming all the way from the south makasama lang, kaya kayang-kaya yan. Hope to see you elite rider of C200! :punk:
Ryansky October 4th, 2005, 07:40 AM Thanks mga guys.
Its too bad na mga November or early Dec. pa ako makakabili. Medyo short pa sa budget eh :D Gusto ko talaga bumili kasi nasa balita na magiging 9php ang minimum na fare sa jeep.
@byker - thanks sa info. its a great help. I think I'll just buy a brandnew c200. 65K dito sa SM Southmall eh. Sa may Pilar lang ako.
@trendy08 - thanks rin pre. I guess from your reply. Wala naman siya problem sa long rides basta may maintenance.
Pagbili ko, magprapractice muna ako kasi tricycle lang at scooter ang kayang patakbuhin. :D

@ryansky;
our group just had an EB & Fun Run towards the hills of Tanay. the C200 & T200 (both of Loncins with the T200 being the cruiser version) both did well on that demanding trip. Not only the uphills, downhills, multiple bends & twisties, straights, & rough roads did it do great but it also survive the demands of the riders themselves who squeezed out loads of fun in them bikes. Maybe the pics and the posts will help you decide...click here (http://motorcyclephilippines.com/forums/showthread.php?p=313389#post313389) :banana:

hello ryansky;
my personal topspeed with my C200 is somewhere 120kph (don't know if my speedometer is accurate) but there is still room for acceleration but i was already feeling uneasy (kinakabog na dibdib ko) so i slowed down. :R
Tat October 14th, 2005, 09:15 AM It's great to know that there is now a group based on this Loncin Cyclone 200cc bike. C200 is my very first bike. Sabi nila, the first is always special. Sa bike na yan ako natuto ng husto. Dyan ko rin natutunan ang mga basics of a bike like carburetor, pistons, oil changing, tyre appropriateness, basic bike troubleshooting, etc. Basta, andaming first. Pati unang semplang ko dyan din. I think I still have a lot of pictures here with that bike. I've ridden it in multiple long rides. Tagaytay, Nasugbu, Real, Infanta, etc. When I started with my current club, the Bikers Brotherhood, yan ang bike ko. Dyan din ako natuto ng mga street road safety skills ko pati na rin cornering by counter-steering. I've used that bike the longest time so far. I upgraded to a Suzuki Bandit V 400cc, used it for a month only. Then replaced it with a Kawasaki Eliminator 400cc, used it for about 4 mos lang. My current bike, wala pang 6 mos sa'kin. Yang Cyclone 200, I used it for over a year. :)
To make it simple, Cyclone 200 will always be special for me. Sabihin na nilang china-made lang sya, I simply don't care. I've always been proud when I still own that good looking bike. I replaced it not because it gave me lots of headaches but because I overgrew its power already and need to upgrade to continue having fun riding bikes.
At sa inyong bumuo ng grupo na ito, mga Cyclone 200 riders... BE PROUD OF CYCLONE 200. MABUHAY PO KAYONG LAHAT!!!! :cheers:
4TheRide October 14th, 2005, 10:54 AM @TAT
Damn straight brother, damn straight :banana:
I agree, these bikes are 'special', The finish may fade quicker and some bolts may rust faster but the size, handling and speed are perfect for the beginners. It gives you enough 'smiles' to keep you happy. its a lovely first bike and, depending on your need for speed, you may not need/want to upgrade.
Ako din I dont care. This bike fits me 'just fine' (although i have the cruiser version :S )
Thanks for the feedback and if you ever want to get nostalgic and run with the C200s once more, drop by on our next ride on or about nov 13

Hardliner October 14th, 2005, 09:04 PM when i'm looking for a bike the c200 and z200 were the ones remaining on my preferences. remaining on my list because of budget requirements. so i evaluate both.
let's start of with the c200 3rd ed. (this was last year). it got a stiff rear mono shock (the 2nd ed. has a better rear suspension), sport/touring configuration (upright sitting position), a nice modern engine (i think its a SOHC?), single front disk break, rear drum break, twin exhaust, full-faired, nice overall looks. what i like about this bike is its engine and its sport/touring configuration. what i don't like about this bike is its buggy instrumentation, the kick start hits the foot peg when used, the rear drum break and the not so neat finish of the rims.
the z200, in a sport bike configuration (aggressive riding position), soft rear mono shock, pushrod engine (quite old technology), dual front disk break, rear disk break with ABS, single exhaust, half-faired (european design), inverted forks, nice overall looks. what i like about this bike is its european design, the inverted forks and dual front disk breaks and rear disk breaks. what i don't like is its engine, headlight design, panel lighting and its rear profile.
both are good starter bikes.
has the 3rd gen improved lately? i heard they've already fixed the kick start problem.
byker October 15th, 2005, 02:47 AM @tats;
thanx for your words of symphaty. it just makes us riders feel better when some1 gives experiences regarding usage of bikes similar to that of ours.
Just what have 4Dride said, "you're welcome to join us in our future rides" :s
@hardliner;
thanxs for the technical info you have shared. I've been riding these bikes & i don't know the technical aspects of these bikes until now :s
may i extend also to you the invitation of my fellow bunch mates to our future rides :s
