I experience it while riding at roxas blvd. Grabe sobra nakakatakot. :S

Btw, my MC is honda wave alpha 100cc.

Is vortex the same as crosswind? Whats the difference between the two?

diba ang vortex .. .something na moving in a "circular" motion and tends to form a vacuum in the center...something like that...

...crosswind i guess is the proper term (a wind blowing in a direction not parallel to a course)

i think yung cross winds un yung pag nagmomotor ka sa open road then yung hangin perpendicular syo.

from other vehicles, i think its called slipstream. :D

You don't need a cage to pass you to experience that StAnger. Strong winds coming from the sea and ones caused by typhoons are more likely to push you aside pero sandali lang and kung walang sasakyan sa side na pinanggalingan ng hangin. Always be prepared for this kasi pag hindi malamang semplang ka. I've ridden Roxas Blvd during heavy rains, gabi pa nga eh and lagi ko nae-experience ito kasi nga open space un dagat at siguradong malakas ang hangin.

FYI this was not the point raised by those who are for the banning of sub-400s.

Tukayo, you're definitely right about that, also strong winds din pala.

Anyways, my bad about sa banning sa expressways.

Im not in favor of the banning. And we should be treated the same as the people riding cages.

Ride safe! :punk:

I have spent many hours on freeways around the world and never had a real problem with wind wash from other vehicles. The worst I ever experienced was riding a ZX6R in Makati on a small road in heavy traffic. Speed means stability for a bike and I was moving slowy in the heavy traffic when a gust of wind came down a side turning. With very little room to manauver and the instability of low speed it was far more dangerous than any vehicle passing me on the freeway.

It does whip alot but not that dangerous.
Cruising at 110+kph along Ilocos stretches, this approaching bus's wind slams into my helmet face and onto my skut, felt that whip of wind but its tolerable. The whip is temporary that you won't be pushed that far.

What's scary is the storm's winds, its continouse and you'll feel you are cruising at an inclined position, when the wind chages its position, that's again scary.:D
