View Full Version : Legazpi City Helmet Ban Proposal
mayor_bandido September 2nd, 2005, 10:57 PM Sirs,
There is a pending proposal in the Legazpi City Council to ban helmets in the city center. We cannot allow this to happen!
The ban will endanger the lives of riders. We have to point out to the government that they have to stop putting our lives in danger and start catching the criminals!
MCPF- Bicolandia and MAP-Bicol are preparing the letters of opposition. Bicol clubs, we cannot let the proposal become a law because if it does, it will open the floodgates and the Legazpi City proposal will be copied in other cities and towns of the Bicol peninsula.
We have to stand united once more and show the world what concerted action, brotherhood and cooperation can do. We are faced with a test, together, we must face this and overcome!
Bicolanos, nagkasararo!
Mga oragon! sa pagkasararo an satuyang triumfo!

We need to make a Powerpoint presentation on the Helmet Ban. Can you make one? I can send you the text and ask our brothers here in the site to pictures of accidents.
Kindly inform us if you can do it and how long will it take. Thanks.

maybe this info can help. i am dr. gabriel r. peņas, FPCS, a general surgeon and head of the Emergency Room Department of the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital. at the e.r. we get an average of 20-30 pateints seen because of injuries related to motorcycle accidents. that includes both minor and major injuries!!! an average of 3-5 deaths per month mostly due to massive brain and skull injuries!!! of course most are under the influence of alcohol. helmets will not prevent injuries but they can spell the difference between major and minor injuries!!! what should be banned are pseudo helmets in the disguise of caps!!! its also sad the our very law enforcers don't wear helmets themselves!!! :D  :punk:
sm0k3 September 13th, 2005, 09:39 AM helmets are made for the safety of riders and must be worn at all times!!!!!!!!!
hindi ba alam ng government un?!?!?!?!?!?!?
