tatlong beses na kong sumesemplang. Luckily, all I have are just bruises. Can someone out there give me tips on how not to semplang. Or kung sumemplang man, how to maintain upright pa rin, at least. Meron bang ganun? Yung bike lang ang sumesemplang pero yung rider at least standing on threes kung di man on his fours.

Salamat po, dear Loncin brothers!

try installing crash guards and sliders for ur cruiser, it helps protect your legs... and try putting your right foot on the brake pedal all the time... it gives better balance...and uhm... i leave the other tips to you guys :bouncy:

based on my experience... avoid braking when turning and make sure you're completely upright when comming to a full stop. use both brakes (front and rear) as much as possible and. be careful driving when there's a lot of foot traffic on the road. be weary of dogs, jeepneys, and tricycles. and never tailgate.

i think all chinese cruisers stock tires are very prone to dulas, so change ka ng tires...
maybe you should also check how you respond to your bikes movement... baka na-raratle ka kahit konting galaw ng rear, fishtail as they call it. better be calm and let the bike drive sa ganung sitwasyon, konting guide lang.... when i was driving my cruiser din, madami nang beses ako muntik sumemplang, luckily wala namang natuloy... i only remember myself na sumisipa sa ground to regain my balance pag nag-i-iskid ako...hmmm, medyo delikado pero it worked for me..(maybe u can try it when your in that situation???...)

ride safe bro!

Well, the first one was on a road with scattered pebbles and little rocks. Maliliit. I had an experience before crashing my dio 2 on the same situation. Mabato rin. Kaya lang, this one, I tried to make tukod with my leg. But since the pebbles are scattered, talagang dumulas na ko. Nabutas nga lang yung lonta ko and had bruises on my knee. Second, wet road. I was going 50 nang biglang may nag-cut na fierra from somewhere. Held the front brake first, then the rear brake. I believe nag-tense ako. Pero I tried getting my foot on contact with the ground pero nadala yata ako ng bike ko dahil di ko binitawan agad. Tama bang bumitaw na agad once maramdaman kong out of balance na so I could make tukod my feet first on the ground then let go of the manibela? Sensya na, para kong kolehiyala magtype ha. The easiest and fastest way kasi na maiko-convey ko sa inyo ang experience ko. The third naman, dahil nakadalawang semplang na nga ako, parang na-feel kong nagwi-wiggle ang manibela ko, kaya when turned in a corner, parang nawalan ako ng balance and semplang uli.
More tips, please. Thanks

Hi stingroyce,

Newbie lang ako. Got a cruiser also from loncin. T200. So, 'opinion' lang po ang mga sumusunod.. Take it with a grain of salt

Crash 1:
...road with scattered pebbles and little rocks
...crashing my dio 2 on the same situation.
Was it a turn/lean and you hit the front brakes?

Crash 2:
...wet road.
...may nag-cut na fierra from somewhere.
...Held the front brake first,

Crash 1 and 2 sound to me like
Turning/Leaning + Bad Road condition + Hard Front Brake = Semplang

Crash 3:
...parang na-feel kong nagwi-wiggle ang manibela ko,
...when turned in a corner,
Might be as simple as that.

Good luck bro and keep safe!

Come to think of it, mukhang I always hit the front brakes muna nga, then follow with the rear brakes nang mga microseconds lang. Yet, I still crash. I watched a motocross grand prix race in espn. Puwede kaya yung technique nilang tinutukod ang isang paa or umaalalay when turning in a curve?

Pero di mo binitawan front? Sabi 'nila' pag basa, mabuhangin, etc tapos paliko wag malakas front brake. Kasi pag dumulas harap mahirap mag recover... I learned this the hardway dati sa 'moped' ko running over buhangin. semplang din mga 10 years ago. tinawanan lang ako ng pulis na dumaan
:(

As for the tukod ng legs...
personally, I don't like it. :D

I prefer the 'leaning' or 'dapa' way kesa sa tukod. parang hinihiga ko yung bike kaliwa o kanan, sarap lumiko pag ganun :)

2 types of MC pilots:

one who crashes and one who doesnt

one who crashes: drives fast, reacts slow

one who doesnt: drives right, reacts quickly and safely

siguro sir you need to "feel" your bike not only while driving but also when not on it. dont speed up or brake unecessesarily. drive in moderation and youll find yourself out of that "semplang" situation :)

i hope this helps

Break hard on foot not on hand to avoid fishtailing. It's one cause of semplang.

wala pa ako na semplang! got used to my bike. meron isang instance na i was braking both front and rear then iyon pala. mabuhangin sa unahan. i was turning at that time. ang ginawa ko. sinipa ko lang sa pavement ung paa ko. i recovered! wheew! done this couple of times. minsan, kung lumambot. il try my best to keep the steering straight and fast as i can. just my two cents,

Hi bro Stingroyce:

Ang semplang normal lang sa mga riders yan, cuz it teaches you the hardway, which is I am sure will make you more experience rider. Pero lahat ng ito ay maiiwasan kung ikaw ay well experienced and has the knowledge of reacting properly on a given situation.

The best thing that I can advise to you bro,is this, KUNG HINDI KA PA NAKAPAG-ENROL; SA ISANG RIDERS COURSE WHICH WILL TEACH YOU PROPER WAYS OF RIDING, SIGURO MAS THE BEST ANG MAG -ENROL KA MUNA. JUST TO DIFFERENTIATE THE MYTH FROM THE REAL FACTS OF RIDING.
i CAN SUGGEST TO YOU THE MOTORCYCLE RIDERS COURSE (MRC). MERON YAN DITO SA FORUM WITH THEIR CONTACT NUMBERS. THREE DAYS AND YOU WILL FEEEL YOUR CONFIDENCE IN RIDING IMPROVE.

OKAY GOOD LUCK BRO, MY ONE CENT OPINION ON THE SUBJECT MATTER. SAFE RIDE ALWAYS...
