1.SYM is Taiwan based and makes the ever reliable JET scooters and at one time partners with Honda.
2.Magic RR has 110cc 4speed engine almost /same as Honda's XRM
3.Mags and now uso na Hydrualic shocks standard equipment
4.Disk brake at front wheels
5.Yokahama or Kenda tires 70/80 front 80/90 rear
6.Colors yellow, red, and like my bike metallic green
7.6,000kms or 6months service warranty

Sir magkano po bili nyo sa sym magic 110rr? at san po kayo bumili? i plan to buy an MC eh, choice ko po is honda wave alpha, kymco activ 110 or sym magic... i found out na though 97.1cc lang ang alpha same sila in terms of hp and torque nung kymco... and yung kymco daw based on threads i saw here ay may problem when shifting to second gear.. namamatay daw ang makina nila... so my choice is narrowed down to honda wave alpha and sym magic... hows your bike naman? in terms of performance and power? medyo heavy built po kasi ako eh, ala naman bang lumilitaw na problema?

i have used my bike for a month now, and kakakuha ko lang yun plate no. nya kaya d na ako ngayon takot mahuli ng mga TMG.
Bought my bike sa MITSUKOSHI phils sa may Viologo homes sa may E. Rpdriguez pagkatapos lng ng Delos Santos hospital at Wheelers. Sila ang distributor ng SYM sa phils at may service Center sila (CASA).
Wala naman akong nakikitang problem sa Magic RR ko, 760Kms na ang tinakbo and ang topspeed kong nakita ay 100kph sa Araneta ave. Marami nga akala pina set up ko yun bike, pero sabi ko stock lahat yan, di makapaniwala. Mas lalo na pag nalaman nila yun price, 44T cash, believe sila. Siyempre may mga taong nagsasabing mahina raw yun parts ng china, pero taiwan made ito no, and sa tingin ko kung may masisirang parts dapat bumigay na kasi talagang binibirit ko ng husto!
Anyways, if u decide to buy one, u will have a very good looking bike in a sea of honda alphas and wave, mine is green one. D2 sa pasig 3 sym magic rr and nakikita ko, 2green and 1red.

I guess that's their opinion... but based sa mga na-research ko dito sa net, i found out na both sym and kymco ay gumagawa din sila ng mga honda motorcycle.. kymco from what i recall ay mga 15 to 20yrs na gumagawa ng honda na MC, sym din mga ganun din katagal... kaya technology wise honda din ang gamit nila, syempre after mag-expire contract nila sa honda may mga machines silang pang-gawa ng motor kaya rather than put it to waste edi gawa na sila ng sarili nila...with some improvements pa saka ala pa akong nakitang sinabi sa net na sa "japan" ginagawa ang wave, xrm puro vietnam, thailand.. etc... but not japan... saw the pics of the magic rr, ang ganda nga... and at 44k it's a bargain... baka dalawin ko this week yung MITSUKOSHI phils if ever ala ako makita na nagbebenta ng sym dito sa fairview, malayo nga lang kasi eh.. saka i plan to get via financing.. sa 44k mapapamura pa monthly ko kesa kukuha ako ng XRM na stock pa itsura... choice ko talaga ang sym magic, but diniscourage ako ng taga motortrade, they dont sell sym brand anymore kasi mahirap daw pyesa... talo sila sa warranty kaya i'm eyeing the kymco activ din... anyways thanks sa info bro! ride safe. :bouncy:

D ako sure kung talagang mahirap sa parts pero di ba ang Motortrade daming nabentang SYM jet? Anyway, malapit naman ang kasa ng Sym sa E.ROD lng, yun KYMCO sa paranaque ang warehouse daw. Kinonsider ko rin dati yun kymco activ kasi maganda rin ang design nya at may dealer na willing ibigay sa akin for 40t lng. decided to buy the SYM MAGIC kasi its newer, medyo 3 years ko na nakikita yun ACTIV, and mas kapareho ng SYM MAGIC yun Honda XRM, engine-wise.

Sad to say pero walang u box yung sym magic!!
In terms of performance, naka 100kph na ako sa straight line and 110kph sa pababa ng fly over.
Some modifications i wud like to try:
1. Oversize diskbrakes. kaya lng di sukat yun adaptor ng caliper sa brakes pero sukat yun rotors sa pad, sayang, malamang daw size ng yamaha yun adaptor, pero puede rin daw imodify yun bracket kasi isang butas lang ang difference
2.Endurance pipes or a like na lng kasi medyo mahal yun endurance, may nakita ako mga 1500 lng magnda rin gawa basta pa XRM model, sukat
3. Baka palitan ko ng front sprocket, from 14 to 15 para mas relax sa topspeed ang engine. ang XRM yata stock combination ay 14 front and 34 rear. feel ko better replace the stock front sprocket kasi mas mura and pagpinaliit yun sprocket to 34, baka sumabit yun chain sa swingarm
Aside from that wala na akong balak galawin kasi maganda performance nya and looks :)

Well 3 months na SYM Magic ko and 2000kms, no troubles naman still fast 105 sa straight line all stock with side mirrors in place and 110 sa pababa ng flyover, talo mga stock XRMs. Used Castrol R4 superbike for oil change( fully synthetic) ganda ng takbo.
Medyo may second thoughts ako sa pipe modification kasi matulin naman sa stock pipes and iingay lang at mahal pa

Consistently doing a topspeed of 105kph during my daily routes from pasig to banawe qc.(EDSA shaw flyover and Araneta Ave)

I have yet to see a Stock XRM who could outrun a SYM magic kasi puro iwan in term of accelarations and topspeed. One time nga may modified na XRM, ganda itsura and tunog pero nahabol ko, medyo nag drafting nga lang ;-)

Finally able to change the front sprocket from 14t to 15t while rear sprocket remains at 36t. Noticed a decrease in engine speed particularly sa 80 to 100kph. Mas ok kasi medyo buzzy pag parating ng 105( ok lng naman i rev kasi naka sythetic oil ako di ba). Di ko pa makita any topspeed increase kasi 2 days ko lang nagamit papuntang work. will keep you guys posted.

All stock pa rin ang body and engine, Castrol R4 fully sythetic oil ang nakakabit.

Wala pa akong maisip na i modify kasi maganda at mabilis naman eh. saka medyo humihingi ng mags yun Yamaha mio ko ;-)

mga bro patulong nman, ask ko lng kung bakit mahirap ipasok s 2nd gear tuwing unnang andar ang sym 110. maraming salamat mga bro.

Bro, try mo adjust yun clutch. find a good setting between easy gear shifting and good acceleration w/o clutch slipping. Nasa owners manual yan

Nice bike sir! actually 1st choice ko ang SYM Magic 110 kaya lang i go for shogunR125 kasi un nga sabi nila mahirap daw ang parts and besides wala sya compartment. Hindi pa ako nagbabasa noon about sa SYM na dati rin pala gumagawa ng honda ng nakabili ako ng shogunr. But still no regret maganda rin kasi ang performance ng ShogunR. Next time siguro pag nagsawa na ako dito i go for Magic 110 ganda kasi ng color combination lalo ng ung yellow with black. Wala ka ng babaguhin pa sasakyan mo na lang.

110kph? 3rd gear pa lng yan (no joke). I had 130kph top speed sa magic ng friend ko (used it last Tour ng Pilipinas - Padyak Pinoy, Baguio -Angeles, Pampanga Lap) side by side with Honda's CB750, Honda X4 those big bikes of my mates. Ayaw nila maniwala na stock yun bike. Very fast sha and tipid sa gas. I also have mine already got it last saturday. Tho I dont plan on racing it your breaking some silly speed records, the bike is for commuting to work. Porma pa no more mod for me, yun side mirror, seats, and front wheel na lng change ko to tube less. for safety reasons. Its a good buy! Yes SYM was been partners with Honda before. So SYM knows how honda bikes are done. Honda bikes are good naman to be fair, yun lng XRM i mod mo pa to look cool and to run a little bit faster.

have you been riddin motor bikes before? if not then you should keep the timing I mean ramdam mo naman pag malapit na mahirapan o over revolution na yun throttle mo. then mag shift gear ka. Yah check out the manual. Tho sometime binibirit na sa casa mag motor sa totoo lng kaya minsan brand new pero lakas ng hatak! Juz keep the timing. Safe riding lng.

I have a magic 110RR and I am fully satisfied, It's color green and black...the color exemplifies the red lights on the back = ) been using it for 6 months, I'm using IDEMITSU for the engine oil and ang ganda ng takbo, I used CASTROL activ b4...It feels jst the same performance...overall a nice looking 110 cc bike and does not burn your pocket...that's the magic of it...nywayz have a nice ride to all...Let's enjoy the magic...

just have a nice break-in do it a mixture of soft and hard break-in! sakin I did soft break on 0-900 then hard on 901-1000 ngayon ganda takbo nya!

also never forget to take care of your engine! just follow the instructions of our guys here in MCP ako I learned a lot from them!

oil cooler pangpalamig ng oil pag malayuan byahe basically pang palamig ng makina pag mainit na mainit na para hindi manlata. medyo complicated lang ikabit kasi mukhang kailangan tanggalin ang air cleaner box at palitan ng free flow air filter na maliit.

Boost vacuum pang pabilis daw pero di pa kami nagkabit. medyo compliacted kasi yung iba ikabit kasi kailangan pa gawan ng paraan at bracket.

Regarding lowering or replacing your rear shocks make sure na magandang klaseng shocks ang ipalit mo kasi maraming shocks na nabibili na mura at pangit, meaning tatalbog ang ride mo or magiging bouncy. I'm happy with the front and rear stock shocks maganda ang ride at malambot compared to others na matigas.

Bro sorry to give you the wrong impression na salesperson ako ng Sym. Physical Therapist ang work ko and the reason I wrote the forum is to encourage other people to buy a Sym Magic, which I am a very proud owner of. When I bought it last August 2005, very few people were using this UB. But now kahit dito sa pasig, mayroon at least 5 new bikes akong nakikita. Talagang dumadami na ang nakakadiscover sa ganda ng SYM Magic which is my main objective.

i think rainman is right.... i do spam most of the time when i feel like 'bragging' about a certain thing. but it is more on sharing the proudness we get from our toy, so to speak.... in the other forum which i am more frequently present, i spam about SYM Magic all the time. well, i must admit am a proud damn owner of this great bike. and it's worth every brag! yun lang yun... we just want to share the good things we get so others will feel the same.

we're all proud owners of SYM and i guess just about everyone else who owns a suzuki, a honda, yamaha, a loncin, a sinski, a motorstar ---- we are equally just as proud!

but this i must say: so far, the best moped i have ever owned and ridden is the SYM Magic. period. my 2 other underbones of different brands are getting jealous already....

Hey bro kicker, just got my back shocks replaced to semi-lowered and I must say galing! mas stable sya ngayon lalo na pag-high speed! yung front fork ko naman scheduled to be adjusted lang ng SYM las piñas for only 250! diba mura???!!! and the best of all walang puputulin or what so ever may adjust lang daw sabi nila just to fit my newly installed semi-lowered shocks!, though busted yung isang flourecent light ko kasi nadaganan ko hehehehehe planning to replace it this sat.

medyo dalayed muna yung ibang gagawin ko sa magic ko kasi buntis si misis heheheeh!

By the way my Magic RR is very stable, fast (comparable to that of a suzuki ub) and hataw sa tipid sa gas! (shell super premium).

I AM Sorry... (ala gloria, PGMA), yah its just the impression. I am also a proud owner to this wonderful UB. Even in my place mejo marami na bumibili ng magic. If only SYM has benifits to market this bike I think i can market this far better the rest. Basta sa 100cc-150cc lng. Imagine completo na ang bike konting MOD na lng! Maraming klaseng Muffler kasya jan sa magic. The best is go to caloocan with your bike after purchasing one and the mechanic can assist you. Thats great!, dont believe them. Ako hataw agad sa magic ko para makita mo kung mag deprensya sha. imagine just 6 month of warranty or 6k km. My mechanic told mo that motor bikes are already been test on ride before they deliver it. so birit na yan! just try to change oil after 300 on you odometer or 500 before reaching 130kph!. use semi synthetic is possible or yun stock ng sym. tho parepareho lng yan. pls dont use SYNTHETIC OILS yun SEMI SYNTHETIC lng. enjoy our ride enjoy magic.. anyway what color had been your choice? congrats dude!

kuya nung pinalitan mo b sa semi lowered ung magic mo ngpalit ka pa ng gulong? kase ung din sana ung balak kong palitan eh, ang taas kase. sbe nung pinagtanungan ko s caloocan palit p daw ng interior tsaka gulong. tnx poh


Hi bro cnergy, nope hindi ako nagpalit ng gulong all stock padin sya. pinalowered ko ng konti yung front fork sya sa sym mismo (may adjust lang sya konti for 250 pesos) ngayon more stable sya and an increase in top speed (bro kicker you read it right increase in top speed!) dati I run 120kph now 125kph, recently ko lang na try in macapagal area.

modifications, well bukas install ako ng mga ilaw hehehehe finally a nice blinker on the front fork (gagawan ko ng paraan) hehehehe

Just got one 2 days ago! and Im happy to say that Im a proud owner of this bike. Hindi ako makuntento at pinalitan ko agad pipe!ayos!hehehe kaso hindi pa ako makatakbo ng mabilis kasi break in pa lang 100kms pa lang natakbo top speed ko eh 50pkh pa lang hehehe. mga sir,, 2 months na ang sym magic sakin , napansin ko lng minsan mhirap ilipat yung kambyo. usually kpg primary to segunda.. ganun ba talaga
