yung stock na cdi ng beta may limit lang kung ilang rpm cguro mga 7-10k rpm lang hindi na tataas dun

mikee5,

Bro where did you get your limiter nos. sa beta?? Kung stock ang makina limited nga ang revs mo pero kung modified yan yung stock cdi mo walang limit ang rev.

Bro it was based in my assumption because it is within the normal operating rpm for the beta. The stock engine or cylinder block of Beta Ark has a maximum operating capacity of at least 8-9k rpm. Even if you put a racing cdi/magneto like the seletra or malossi to your stock ark engine the power band of your engine will only go up to its maximum rpm. Now if you use a racing parts like polini evo block with a maximum rpm of 13500 your stock cdi /magneto will not follow that same range because the stock cdi/magneto is not capable of reaching 13500rpm. That is where the racing cdi of seletra and malossi come in if you want to reach the maximum power of 13500rpm use the racing cdi /magneto. The good thing about the malossi with limiter you can adjust its rpm within the maximum capacity of your race engine. So you will adjust your cdi to 13500rpm unlike the seletra with its capacity I think of 15-18000 rpm in case of over rev your block will be in trouble.

Bro,

That is where you are wrong. Yung former Beta ko kasi modified with evo 70cc block, crankshaft, front pulley, exhaust and stock CDI. When DREAM BIKES was still open they have a dyno jet. So we put it in the Dyno and it reached a speed of 130KPH with an RPM of 12T++ can't remember the exact no.

Bro that is what I mean even the dynojet told you that you reach only up to 12++++rpm so your stock cdi was stretch to its limit. It cannot achieved the 13500 rpm maximum power of your polini evo and you can achieved that only by using a racing cdi. So naturally it has a limiter if it does not have one it can follow the power band of your engine.

It was not stretched to it's limits. The only reason it did not peaked in excess of 12K rpm is that i still have a stock magneto and 21mm carb. A month after, we installed a 25mm mikuni flatslide and running it side by side with a NINJA 400 in which it reached a speed of 140kph unfortunately we weren't able to dyno it na kasi may bayad na. So if it has a limiter it wouldn't even reach 10k. a CDI limiter has no compromise if it is set to 9 or 10k no matter what you install even a nitro boost will not go beyond the set limit.

bro, the magneto only followed what the cdi says it dictates its tempo. Even if you have a racing magneto and you use the stock beta cdi it won't go beyond the 12+++++rpm that you saw in dyno. even if you reach 140 km/hr the speed above what you tested in dyno it doesn't mean that you got high rpm than what is registered in dyno. even if your speed is below 130km/hr you can reach 12+++ rpm we call that "sigaw ang makina" so you have to tune it. so it follows even if you reach 140km/hr and properly tuned it may even registered a low rpm within the limits of stock cdi.

Ok, for the sake of finally putting it to rest. would you agree that at least the limit for a stock BETA CDI is above 12K rpm. and not between 7-10K.
