welcome aboard angeljed! it must be exciting to run your first few miles. I recall the feeling of the air brushing against my face as i increase my acceleration...gloria! Just be careful & feel your bike though, lalo na when the road is slippery. Never also approach a curve or bend at high speeds & brake hard at the corners, semplang ang resulta. slow down when you approach a curve. I,m not really a pro rider but i have some twenty ++ years of riding experience & numerous spills to reckon with. God just Loves me so much & He must have some more plans for me that He still keeps me alive. hehehe. Take care of riding & of your bike. You'll have long ways to go.

eric & newbie, hello also. set an eyeball. I'm normally free on sundays (except on the 21st) so just PM me. Ingat kayo. God bless :s

My first bike was a Loncin Cyclone 200cc. I had it for a year before I upgraded to a 400cc and now, to an 1100cc bike. I say its a good beginner bike. Pretty reliable if you take care of it properly, tipid pa sa gas... :)

Sir Trendy,

Musta na tsong!

Siyempre naman I will always have my heart on that bike.. that's where I learned to ride... Andami namin pinagdaanan ng Cyclone ko. For one year, he served me well. Long rides, short rides, commuting, etc. He never failed me. I will always love that bike...

Sir Byker,

Sige schedule nyo EB. Mukhang masaya yan! Maybe a short ride to Famy would do as our first meeting... don't you think? :D

hello asakura;

regarding cyclone200, you may find 1 in riverbanks mall. they also have a REPOSESSED unit that's a lot cheaper but of course it's 2nd hand. The main dealer is in mandaluyong, opposite JRC, shaw blvd. with regards to its reliability, just read on thru the forums here in MCP & you'll get more info from other owners. my bike's mileage so far is barely 3100km (brake-in stage pa).
The dealers service in mandaluyong is OK. I had replaced my tachometer & it was replaced promptly. the looks of this bike: well, i bought it 'coz of that. it looks expensive, reliable, quick, & fun to ride. more importantly, you'll have a community eager to assists you regarding your queries 'bout the bike. :*

for Z200, i was told that it's like the c2 when it comes to R&D of their respective co's. the engine design & exterior looks have been lifted from its japanese counterparts. some engine parts (daw) are compatible to that of Honda's XLR200. don't really know but the z2 owners have an active riders club as well.

Jianshe's cougar? Don't know anything about the bike yet. but since you're sort of comparing it with the first 2, i'd like to take a look at it for curiosity sake.

the forum here will be the best place to get info's regarding what bike to buy given your budget 'coz you'll be hearing 1st hand experiences from the bike's riders & no biases 'coz we're not sales people for said bikes. we're just like you, fun & adventure lovers :O

when you've your bike, post us & you're welcome to join our Fun Runs.

God bless us all with safe rides :)

naku sir Asakura, ang pag ka alam ko, wala na po stock na cyclone, the last time i checked sa dealer available na lang po yung mga repossesed c2 pero try nyo pa rin sa buendia corner LRT station loncin dealer ... the c200 is 63k brand new, 50% downpayment... (tama ba byker?)

you can also check the z200 dealers almost the same type of sportbike, may financing din... you can ask the z200 thread (just to give you another option)... anyway goodluck on your bike hunting :punk:

any bike rider is welcome. BYB nga lang (bring your own baon). hehehe. except for newbie, i've commited n paiinumin ko cya for his long trip. kung may nag-dadarts s inyo, dala kayo ng mga "pins" dahil mayroon din duon, FREE din.

for asakura, approx prices of bikes: c200= php 63t & z2=php 68t, the last time i checked. but off course there are cheaper ones yung mga 2nd hand, yung nga lang wala ng warranty. maybe some1 from the biking community have read your need for a bike of these type, hope you'll just be getting a message from them.

just 30 mins ago, a couple riding a big scoot called my attention regarding my OPEN body bag along c5 between J Vargas & ortigas. i wasn't able to say my thanks to them. have they let go of the situation, i would have lost another camera & other personal effects. God is good, there are still many good people around. Tuesday last week, I left the same bag at the reception area of an insurance co. when i reached home, i noticed that my digicam was already gone, the pair of side mirros of my client's Xwind were stolen (cost me 1500 to replace it), & i had a spill on my bike that same afternoon. 'twas depressing day but people like the couple above always lift my spirit. amen!

God be with us in our riding! :s

Thanks for your show of concern bro. my spill on my bike caused a bruise on the inner side of my right leg but it's only superficial as compared to the bruise on my EGO. Naphilata yata ako sa kalye namin. approx 20 people witnessed the incident but like Miriam Quiamnao, i stood up, lifted my bike, & sped off all in approx 5 seconds. as if nothing happened. Hehehe, pero ang sakit ng hita koooo. Ganyan ang Pinoy, Banggon agad kapag nadapa.

The spill was not caused by slippery surface or tires but my miscalculation when the front tire collided with the edge of the sidewalk. However, your observation of the tires being slippery is true.

what tire do you suggest i replace my rear tire with? any idea how much is it?

Natuloy ba EB nyo when it rained the whole day this friday?

I have a Loncin 100 wingman (proud of it!). Planning to upgrade to a 2nd hand 200cc bike (repossesed). I am willing to buy it at P35,000. Is this a fair price. The bike is almost 2 years old. Anyone want to buy my Loncin 100? P20,000 lang 8mos plang. :punk:

Among the different brand of motorcycles, we the Loncin riders are behind when it comes to EB's & Fun Runs. Though we have the same passion for riding our bikes, we have not come out as a big group in rides. All of us must be eager by now to ride our bikes in out-of-town runs in groups.

May i suggest we designate a particular Sunday of the month where we can EB & probably have some short Fun Runs. We can even discuss probabilities of having our out-of-town Fun Runs sponsored by particular company/s.

"Fun Runs & E.B.'s every 4th Sunday of the month" is a thread originally posted here at Loncin forum but was moved to "Ridings & Tourings" Forum.Please go over that thread to read on further on proposal regarding our future possible activities.

More power to all!

hello boytoy;

i'm the guy who can help you with your indecisiveness regarding the issue of which bike to choose. If your from NCR, go to my hang out in Marikina & I'll enlighten you in front of these two good lookers of a bike. Nakaparada sila sa garage side-by-side. Point by point we can discuss their pros & cons. Truly, both are value-for-money rides. Specially for someone who'll be just learning how to handle a bike. Again, some people may have a different opinion but for me, I use both bikes alternately. They have their own feel of the road & responsiveness. Z200 is more of a road hugger streetbike while C200 which stands higher is a cross between a street & off-road bike. their engines respond similarly. anyway, i can go on & on & it'll just confuse you more. Kaya kung malapit ka lang, go to my hang out. dalan mo lang ako ng 10 pesos worth of buto ng kasoy & i'll entertain you na. hehehe :)

seriously, whichever bike you choose you'll be a winner. just treat your ride with care & it'll reward you with years of service. :*

bro,

i would love to go to your place, kaya lang mejo malayo e, sa caloocan ang place ko and i work at makati from monday - saturday. anyway, thanks na lang sa invite. pero if you have to choose just one of the 2, and consider that you have very little experience with bikes (although marami ako exp with a scooter), which one among the two would you choose? :crazy:

Please be reminded of our forthcoming EB on October 9, 2005 at 6am in Marikina. After getting to know each other, we might go on a short run further east in the Rizal towns...at kung bitin pa & depending on the consensus of the attendees, we might go up somewhere further in Laguna.

To signify your confirmation of joining, post at the thread Change Venue of E.B. which is at the forum Meetings & Events. Needless to say, mas marami, mas masaya. May kodakan pa tayo compliments of 4theride.

see you! :*

@boytoy;

Hello to all,

The October 9th EB & Fun Run pushed through as scheduled. In that ride were 2 Loncin C200, 1 Loncin T200, 1 XT 150, 3 Motorstar Z200, 1 Honda Wave 110, & 1 Honda Cruiser 100. To read the story,click here (http://motorcyclephilippines.com/forums/showthread.php?p=313389#post313389)

Our bikes were at par with other brand of bikes. It performed well in the uphill climbs & downhill descends of the mountains of Tanay. It did well on the cemented & rough roads as well. It was fun seeing the T200 & C200 engage in the consecutive twisties of about 30km.

For all you Loncin owners, check out that thread every now & then for further details of EB's & Fun Runs :R

I have lost interest in posting in MCP forums 'coz of the problems we're having...loosing several days of threads. probably some of our friends in the community feel the same way also.

as i contemplate however, it dawned on me that these people responsible for this problem (that is if they're doing this intentionally to destroy the success of MCP in bringing in people together) will be ecstatic if forumers just stop posting at MCP. my resolution now is to keep on posting irregardless if my posts will be deleted anyway. MCP builds a community & these people destroy this. just look at it as a classic battle between GOOD & EVIL. off course, MCP being the GOOD & the other you know what. eventually, the righteous will prevail.

i'm reminded of last Sunday's gospel which speaks of the parable of the TALENTS. i feel we members of MCP continue using this venue to create friendships irregardless of what's happening & just pray for the individuals responsible for breaking these bonding to be able to use their gifts in a productive manner. :L

Medyo malakas din pala ung vibrations nya. hope this info helps
