Thank you sir sayang sana makasama ka. This is sort of a victory rally against these anti-bike laws but we need to show up in large numbers so we can prove that we are a force to reckon with.

A statement from Sir Frank Woolf

I think a little clarification is needed.

After a meeting with MAP president Tom Mirasol and his brother/fellow fighter for rider's rights, James Mirasol, Counselor Inton dropped his proposal and wants to work with us. We of course welcome the opportunity to help government understand motorcycling and motorcyclists.

After Tope Flores (Mayor Bandido) the MCPF Director for Goverment Affairs & Southern Luzon and Jojo Medina the MCPF Director for Operations met with the staff of Senator Gordon the Senator agreed to drop the painted helmet law and wants to work with us.

We have word that the helmet rules in Marikina are not likely to go through but MCPF and or MAP directors will be meeting with them very soon. We have had riders banned from the safest roads in the country for over 30 years because a rider was killed after he was told to remove him helmet so any stupidity is possible. If by chance the Marikina laws do go through it will be much harder to reverse the situation afterwards.

This all sounds like we have victory already BUT IT IS NOT YET... We are working with politicians here who are just doing what is good for them. These agreements were reached because they see we have the expertise but much more importantly for them, we have the numbers that will effect them at the next elections.

We have only verbal agreements from politicians IF they turn out to be honest and true to their word this is great but we are in the Philippines.

It is critical that we turn out in big numbers on Friday to show these politicians that we have the numbers we say we have. A big rally will enforce what our leaders have told them and make those that haven't yet met with us listen a lot more. On the other hand if our numbers are small I would expect those who have made agreements will break their word and future negotiations with any politicians with be much more difficult.

The directors have done their part. Now it is up to the riders to show maximum support so the director's efforts are not wasted.
