HJC - Made in Korea (price is from P3.8K to P8K+)
Click HJC (http://www.hjchelmets.com)

Zeus - Made in Taiwan (price is from P1.8K to P4K+)
Click Zeus (http://www.zeus-helmets.com)

Index - Made in Thailand (price is about P1.8K to P2K)
Click Index (http://www.indexhelmet.com)

Para sa akin ang isa sa durable at comfortable na helmet is HJC. Nakaka- tatlo na akong ganitong brand (Model: CL-12, FG10K at CL-14) . At ang Mrs. ko isa open-face ang gamit niya for short trips lang.

Also I tried Zeus. Oks din siya pero mas-snug fit ang HJC sa akin kaya binenta ko na siya.

Note:

U.S. Made:
Arai at Shoei - kaso masakit sa bulsa

or European made:
AGV (alam ko P5.5K ito) at Suomy (mga P8K ang pinaka-mura alam ko).

Hope this helps.:)

Aren't they Japanese made?
Arai is excellent. In pesos, that will cost you P20k upwards depending on the model. Would you entrust the safety of your head (in a crash) on a P3k helmet?

Im using a HJC cl-14 also worth 4k+++, affordable, DOT and SNELL certified.
If money is not a factor i would suggest you get ARAi or AGV, they have excellent features and used by the motogp riders. ride safe.

i dunno how much helmets cost over there sa PI. i work for HJC here in California and these helmets passed all the crash tests with flying colors. HJC is the best bang for the buck. altho i personally ride Arai helmets due to sponsorships. depending on ur budget, get a helmet w/ DOT and Snell certification.

better if you would consider the price first... pero if your budget is not an issue...why not try SHOEI (i think made in Japan), ARAI (japan not sure), AXO (USA not sure din), CABERG (italy, sure ako!), AGV(USA rin ata) :) ... this brands ranges to 10,000 to 50K  ... pero is your budget is an issue... you can go to INDEX - 1,200 to 2,500; ZEUS -1,500 to 3,500 or HJC 2,000 to 10,000 ( i think all are made in thailand)..this are DOT certified and some are SNELL certified...hope this can help ;)

i use shoei. it fits me gud.

shoei, arai- my best choice
hjc, kbc- gud enough
suomy- gud but too expensive.

make sure you buy a gud helmet and not a cheap one that wont protect your head. go to motorcyclist magazine.com and look for the helmet article. they have infos on brands that passed and failed the test. peace

ece, snell and dot approved are all good. it all just boils down on how aero dynamic, well vented, how light and how cheap are the helmets that you can afford. If you can afford the best, go for arai, shoei, soumy, shark, vemar, belle, beffe or fm. The easier ones on the pocket will be an hjc and zeus.
Personally, my "collection" of helmets are a spec 1r soumy (capriossi replica), vemar half face, fm and a couple of hjcs ( 1 for enduro and a half helmet for cruising)

some helmet test results... looks like cost isn't directly proportional to performance (in some cases)...

wag nyo lang kakalimutan na once bumagsak ang helmet nyo palitan agad kase di na reliable yung protection level nya once na subject sa impact ang helmet ...kaya ingat sa mga 2ndhand...just my 2 cents

as long as the helmet is certified, you'd still have the same protection whether it is a full faced helmet, or a modular one. you only get the convenience of opening the chin guard (when talking to somebody) on the modular helmet without having to remove the whole thing. so in any case, get those certified helmets by all means.

i have dis though of buying a zeus 508w because its a modular one "uso" but then again everytime i saw an index full face helmet i feel "torned" simply because the design of the index helmet and what word can i describe it but AWESOME and COLORFUL compare to a plain zeus 508w :(

Its funny that you guys are so engrossed with the dot certification where in fact this is one of the lowest standard certifications there are in the u.s.a. or in the world for that matter!!!

Try looking for e.c.e. - europe / jaso - japan / snell - u.s.a. ( full face only ) / or the australian standard. They are more stringent than the dot standard that you guys post here.

No offense on dot certifications but it is the most basic standard to pass before you can sell a helmet in the u.s.a.

fyi only......

btw all the helmets you mentioned passed the d.o.t. certification but some did not even bother going through the others because they are just hard to get by.
