:D ....jacco, welcome! piaggio zip sp is not popular here in the philippines although set up is somewhat the same with other makes. malossi mhr speed is what we normally use around here. mhr cross has smaller port runners thus making it more torquey.

regarding the specs for timing, my mechanic, carlo "bolo" yalo, says just read the leaflet that comes with the part then adjust +/- .25deg. to your liking. are you using SELETRA racing magneto or stock megneto? if you have SELETA you can adjust the timing but with stock don't do anything.

hope this helps.

is your ride like this?

what more can we teach you? you're much closer to the Dutch tuners that i normally talk to about 2 stroke tuning. Piaggio Zip & NRG are the most popular tuned scooters in Europe & Minarelli engined scooter come second favorite.

ricci as i have stated in another thread the MHR Cross & Speed cilinder share the very same cilinder and the only diffence is the piston & conrod used for the Cross cilinder. the longer conrod of the Cross crankshaft shortens the duration of the exhaust & transfer ports thereby increasing torque at a lower rpm than MHR Speed cilinder. since the conrod is 5mm longer the piston has a shorter compression height which locates the pin nearer the crown of the piston.

should you want to convert your Cross set-up to Speed set-up just get the MHR Team crank with 80mm conrod and use the appropriate piston.
