Full face because your head is priceless, bro. If you get into an accident and that breaks or you're concussed, no amount of money could ever bring it back to the way it was.

Hope this helps. :)

There is no such thing as an overkill if we are talking about safety...

Dude your head is irreplaceable... Do not forget that.

full face is definitely safer but if you are used to the "baseball" type giveaway helmet you might find the full face to be too hot in traffic and during the summer. I often wear open face helmets because they are cooler and your angle of vision is wider.

another important thing about helmets is the fit. it should be snug and a little tight, a loose fitting helmet is unsafe.

those baseball type helmets are not for safe scooter riding. get a snell, dot, or ece approved helmet to protect your head properly. go for brands like zeus, hjc, agv, arai, bell, shoei, etc.

low speed travels and short distances would require an open face helmet preferrably with a full windshield. this would not be too hot on your head

high speed travels and long distances require full face helmets due to the increased trauma you can sustain if you fall and bump your head

since you said that you travel far frequently, i suggest that you get a full face helmet. don't forget to get one with a proper fit. just read on other threads on this matter.

i suggest that you also invest on other protective gears like padded gloves, protective shoes, armored jackets and pants (if you have the money to spare). they are initially expensive but your safety is priceless i think.

bottomline, do not be concerned with what others would say regarding your choice of gears to wear. it is your safety that matters. it is your body, it is your choice
