The flip-up face cover seems to dislodges itself at some occasions when the screws on either side of the helmet is a bit loose, this is scary and a bit of a hassle to see the screw drop down to the ground when I open up the flip-up part ...

any 508w users here experiencing the same problem??

How long have you had your helmet? I've had mine for almost 2 months and so far so good. Why dont you bring it to Action Hobbies? They might be able to help. For the meantime, I suggest dont use it. But, dont ride without a helmet on.

Try to keep the screws tight (but not too much or you'll have a hard time lifting the lid or the lens up) regularly. I check mine once every few days.

Lumuluwang din yung sa akin. What I do is I tighten the screws na sagad then ibabalik ko ng 1/4 turn.

i am so thankful that this never happened to me... although i saw a rider once complaining to the shop who sells zeus helmets about the lose screw on his lid. We just need to check the condition of our lids regularly for our own safety.

I guess that is the price we have to pay for buying an inexpesive flip up hemet...

Hello!

I've heard from a few 508W riders about lost screws. Personally, my 508W haven't had that problem but as a rider myself, I understand your concerns.

From now on, for new Zeus 508W helmets sales, we are including a set of spare screws and screw plate free of charge that's included in the user manual. For existing 508W users who somehow lost a screw, Action Hobbies and Motoworld will provide you a spare one free of charge.

Please be rest assured that the new batch 508W's that just came in have improved alot thanks to your inputs. Paintwork especially in matt and the helmet liners has been made better for your comfort.

Thanks!!

thread locker, or liquid lockwasher, locktite makes several types, color coded according to purpose, permanent, removable, heatproof etc.. :)

Had my zeus flip up for about 5 months too
Ive no problem with it, i just check that the screws are tight, its a bit hard to flip the chin quard up sometimes.

I've been having the same problem. Now, its too late. The screw somehow managed to get out and drop out in the middle of the ride. I had no choice but to take it off and ride home without a bucket on my head. Bad day.

Do they sell screws for this helmet?

Sorry to hear that. Please bring your helmet to our shop , either at Action Hobbies or Motoworld sa Fort. We will give you a spare screw free of charge.

For new Z-508 or Z-508W sales, we are including a spare set of screw with washers inside the user manual with your helmet just in case you will need them. But like most things with screws, I guess its better to check them once in awhile especially if helmet has been with you for some time and has gone through wear and tear.

Pesonally, I dont' recommend putting any glue or substance on any helmet cuz it might damage the helmet surface.

Nangyayari din sa akin yan, and i appreciate Ryan's post on this matter.

Yep, yan ang solution, thread locker, not too much dahil baka hindi na makalas pag kakailanganing kalasin someday.:D
PERO WAG GREASE OR OIL HA!!!:D
Use a candle, highly recommended ko kasi ang kandila since hindi messy o kumalat after sometime, malinis tignan, magtatagal ito, padudulasin ang friction ng plastic against plastic ... or even metal to plastic.:)

ive a 508w, thanks 4 the tips :)

a small piece of plastic broke off at the pivot point but its still ok, maybe if i had lubricated it, that would not have happened. i just tightened the screws but its a little hard to flip up. but thats better than losing the screws. I like my zeus better than my hjc!

bro, the zeus508 is modular. there are two variants: the 508 and the 508w. mas maganda yung 508w.

J-Ru, last time I bought my 508w it was at 4500... and, if my memory serves me right, the 508 was priced at 3800. Try going to action hobbies (edsa - southbound cor. connecticut)... gas station... was it petron or caltex... well it's there. Hope that helps.

Alphaq2... can't believe you use Zeus 508w... don't tell me you'd be using Komine GK-384, Komine SK-478... that would be so creepy... knowing we have same bikes and same helmet. :O

Ang dagdag kong feedback, other than that of the screw loosening up by itself, is the paint chipping off.

Alphaq2, gloves yun tsaka back protector... mahal masyado jacket kaya baka mag-dress making course nalang ako. hehehe :D

i use 508w glossy dark silver. had many bumps whenever i open the gate but still no scratches just streak marks from the paint of the gate and its easy to remove. i just wipe it off with moistened cotton rag...don't have problems with the screws too.
