In a surprise turnaround, the Philippine government finally came to their senses, realized that tollways are, despite the lax enforcement of basic traffic rules, safer for all motorcycles regardless of displacement.

In light of this turnaround in official policy, all motorcycles will henceforth be permitted unlimited access in all Philippine tollways.

Furthermore, as a means to rectify the significant increase in danger to motorcyclists over the past years, particularly sub-400cc riders who bore the brunt of the "baseless discrimination" all motorcycles will be allowed access without charge for the next 6 months, begining today.

Free gas will be provided to all motorcyclists at all gas stations within the tollways.

A public apology from the erring administrators responsible for the ban over these past years will also be held at the Luneta Grandstand will be held at the Luneta Grandstand.

Official rites opening the tollways to all motorcyclists as well as the forthcomming public apologies will be hosted at 3:00pm today, April 1, 2005, by no less than the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Presley.

Thanks for all being such great sports about the joke. Its great to be reminded that real bikers have a sense of humor. :C

The upside of the "joke" is also being reminded of how much the dream means to so many. The number of views and the number of the replies says a lot. Like some of you replied, we'll all keep dreaming. And where there's dreams, I know there's people working to make dreams come true. As I read on the other threads regrading slex and sub400s, we will prevail. The government and communiting public have far too much to gain from access for all and so I am sure that we will see the day. Let's all work to make it sooner rather than later.

And oh yeah, Elvis HAS left the building. He wanted me to tell everyone that he was very upset that no one showed up at the Luneta Grandstand at 3:00pm yesterday.
