Supercross legend Jeremy McGrath will race in a "Farewell Tour" in Britain later this year. McGrath, arguably the greatest rider in the history of supercross, is to race in Sheffield and Belfast, continuing his long association with promoters Future West.

McGrath, who has raced at Future West events in Sheffield and London, is to race on consecutive weekends in October after signing a contract with Future West.

After retiring from the AMA Supercross Series to race in Supermoto in his home country, McGrath has decided to take one last trip to Britain to say farewell to his fans. McGrath will be making just two appearances in Britain.

The first will be at the Hallam FM Sheffield Arena on October 11 and the second at the King's Hall in Belfast, Ireland over the weekend of October 17-18.

"We're delighted Jeremy has agreed to come back to race in Britain," Future West's John Hellam said. “We have had a long association with Jeremy and we are sure his fans will turn out to see him race."
