Hi guys,

I ran across this articel in the net about helmet sizes.

To determine your helmet size:
Wrap a tape measure around the widest part of your head, about 1-inch (1") above your eyebrows and ears.
Circle around the back of your head at its farthest portrusion to get to the largest measurement.
Match the measurement to the sizes below to determine your helmet size.
If your measurement falls between two (2) sizes, it is strongly recommended that you purchase a helmet of the smaller size, as it provides a more secure and snug fit.

X-Small = 20 1/4 to 20 7/8 inches

Small = 21 to 21 5/8 inches

Medium = 21 3/4 to 22 3/8 inches

Large = 22 1/2 to 23 1/8 inches

X-Large = 23 1/4 to 24 inches

XX-Large = 24 1/8 to 24 7/8 inches

Hope this info helps in carefully choosing your lids, ride safe!

imho, best is you try on the lid. iba pa rin pag-actual fit e.

even hjc's guide seem to screw up at times kasi i own an med hjc smoke. i tried on my friend's new cl-14 kast na large... guess what! fit na fit. he tried my own smoke ganun din... iisa fit.

these can be used as a guide but to be sure... better fit it first before buying the helmet.

lastly, as what i've learned from other bikers... the cheek pads must be pressing on your cheeks, and there should be no pressure on the forehead. it must be snug, not tight.

happy hunting! :cheers:

Yes tama ka diyan. Every buyer should try to fit the helmet before they should buy it. Also take note, I tried HJC helmets open and full-face (medium sizes), the fit are snug. Ok sila sa head ko. I tried Index and Zeus na medium sizes too, pero hindi sila snug fit sa akin. Maluwag sila. So better try to fit it properly before you buy and use it. Iba-iba kasi ang design ng helmets at shape ng heads natin siguro kaya ganun.

I have a question guys: Can dropping a helmet damage it to the extent of making it unusable? If you dropped your helmet, how do you know if it isn't damaged enough to render it useless for protection?
