Did you try bringing it up with the SC? aloy_g March 11th, 2005, 02:06 AM im from dlsu, but i never brought my scooter to school. im from laguna. :d byk 101 March 11th, 2005, 11:43 AM are there any DLSU student riders out there? we are now banned from parking in our sports complex... we need to unite and pettion for our rights dlsu dasmarinas din ako. sa taft ba un sinsabi mo? @ kneekey d2 sa lasale dasma luwag cla sa parking khit san pwede. dikit ko guard saka d.o. tropahan mo n lng cla pra ok. cge ingat jeff_o March 11th, 2005, 12:15 PM i already graduated from dlsu. before i used to park my ar80 in strc right after the front gate there's a big tree on the right side. i just park under the tree but i have to request for permit pa :( i hope dlsu realizes the practicality of allowing their people to park their bikes inside dlsu premises. they already cannot provide ample car parking spaces to their people... so might as well provide n encourage everyone to come in their bikes. kneekey March 11th, 2005, 12:29 PM seangreen:SC general elections are ongoing right now.. after all the election fiasco, i'll tell the SC the biker's dilemma in our scl. aloy_g: when the ban is removed, i'll gladly tell you so u can bring your scoot! byk_101: buti pa jan sa dasma! dito sa taft kotse hirap mag park e! dapat nga mas pinepursuade nila ang mga students na may bike na yun na lng gamitin papasok e! walang traffic na, tipid pa sa gas! more power sa dlsu-dasma! jeff_o: amen to that! seangreen March 11th, 2005, 01:11 PM kneekey, you have to bring this up to the SC...you see students actually hold much power in the university..lalo na because you dictate the salary increase we receive every year. it has been an all-time low lately. i actually argued with administration when they refused motorcycle parking in sports complex but i lost that one. what i was able to get was my own space in strc. as a first step, you can perhaps request that you be allowed to park in the staff motorcycle parking in strc. underbones and scooters will fit in the passageway but not bigger bikes and scooters. my first Vespa got a nasty gash there. now my ET8 fits well. good luck! kneekey March 11th, 2005, 01:22 PM so, a big bike would not be advisable to be parked in the strc? im riding a super4, will it be more difficult for me to park there? seangreen March 11th, 2005, 01:28 PM so, a big bike would not be advisable to be parked in the strc? im riding a super4, will it be more difficult for me to park there? No way, it won't fit. i park my CB-1 near the ROTC office when i bring it. These days where do you park your bike? Can you talk to the people at the beach kung puwede ka doon? I guess this would be the best option for you. kneekey March 11th, 2005, 01:37 PM No way, it won't fit. i park my CB-1 near the ROTC office when i bring it. These days where do you park your bike? Can you talk to the people at the beach kung puwede ka doon? I guess this would be the best option for you. the last time i brought my bike to scl was 2 weeks ago.. i usually park in one of the leon guinto parking lots. sa beach kse medyo kaskasero ung mga car park boys e.. baka masagi pa nila and dumami pa ung ride ko.haha pero i'll ask din. i'll ask my sc friends about the policy and if they can do anything about it. in sports complex kasi i feel safer coz there's a guard on duty.. thanks sir. ride safe fao March 11th, 2005, 08:12 PM wow talaga nga naman...sino naman kaya nakaisip na ipagbawal pagpark ng mc sa sports..hmmm. :? they have so many unreasonable rules and policies. kaya nga makalayas na... eyesman September 15th, 2005, 07:04 PM i can see why they are banning motorcycles in the sports complex assuming its because of the steep ramp. there are several buildings in makati and ortigas which ban bikes too for the same reason - steep wet ramps can be dangerous for motorcycles. however they should at least find an alternative covered parking area for motorcycles or something. just because there are too many DLSU students taking their own cars to school doesn't mean that bikers will take second place or something... eyesman September 15th, 2005, 07:04 PM btw congrats green archers that ol BLACK magic just couldn't cut it for the Ble Eagles this time around as the Green Archers won over them by 17 pts. -- at least not as bad as the first time they met his UAAP season. Hmmmm....uaap getting more exciting each game. animo la salle! seangreen September 15th, 2005, 09:58 PM talaga? sorry ha..wala studio 23 dito sa lugar ko hehehe. that's so cool!!!!! wise_mumu September 16th, 2005, 11:25 AM DLSU graduate din po... inde ba pwede mag park dun kay "manang"... dun sa likod ng gokongwei?.. mrmetalgear October 4th, 2005, 03:27 PM Guys, I have to agree with Seangreen that you students must take this parking problem to the Student council!!!! You students do have to the power you know. If you students can organize a show of force, like all coming to school riding your bikes, maybe this would be noticeable enough to the administration. I am sure the admin is reasonable enough to listen to your call. Preventing bikes to park at the sprots complex because of the steep ramp I think is valid. Not unless you are a seasoned rider that it would be no sweat for you to climb it everday. But DLSU has other spaces that motorcycles can safely park. Though I am a pofessor who has a priviledge parking space, there was one time the guard didnt allow me to park my CB1000 in my own car space at the STRC (which was really I guess out of sheer ignorance on the guard's part). She told me to park at the STRC bodega gate with a cramp space for all the scooters and small bikes. After realizing my agony of parking in and out, she finally attained enlightened to let me use my own slot again. For one thing, I for one never liked parking at the sports complex simply because of that stupid steep ramp design. Climbing it everyday puts a heavy toll on the motorcylce/car clutches. Who ever designed that ramp I must say was completely oblivious to motorcylce/car owners who would be repairing their clutches every 1 year!!!! Well, its really up to the DLSU riders to haul ass to be heard!!!!! Cheers!!!! CB1000 |
