Agree ako kay sharky. Basta maganda ang fit. Yung helmet ko, CL-12 din. Firm ang pressure niya sa cheeks ko, hindi mahigpit, hindi maluwag (yun daw ang indicator ng fit, eh).

Sa XRM ko, top speed, walang difference sa feel. Kahit malakas ang crosswind, feeling ko di siya gumagalaw.

Doon sa isang kong bike, tumakbo kami sa Star Tollway. Sa takbong 140kph pataas, sa sobrang lakas ng hangin, tinutulak ka na papuntang likod. Yung feeling ng helmet ko, madiin lang sa noo pero hindi ko naramdaman na matatanggal siya. :)

OK na brand ang HJC. Mas mura pa. Bili ka dot/snell approved. Kagaya ng cl-12 at cl-14.

Yung cl-12 tig P3.8K.

Basta snug fit di basta gagalaw yan kahit sa top speed ng scooter mo.

mostly lahat ng helmet "swak" ang salamin, depende sa salamin. eh kung salamin ni ninoy aquino yung style ng salamin mo, mag "construction hard hat" ka na lang.=b pero sa c12 ok lang may salamin tsong:C

I bought my helmet from this shop through the net and had no problems with the fitting. As long as you measured your heads dimension (circumference) properly there wouldn't really be any reason not to buy a helmet without fitting it. It would be nice to feel the helmet but you'll only know (comfort) after using it for a loooong ride.

huwag magtipid sa helmet. huwag mag tipid when we're talking about protection for your body.

i wear glasses because of my poor eyesight. i use a different set of glasses when i wear my helmet. ones with thick but flexible arms so they can find their way into the space between the helmet lining and the side of your face without breaking. i use a balaclava eh (not sure if i spelled it right). expect the arm to be deformed in different shapes everytime you suksok the glasses into the helmet which means you definitely need another set of glasses. alangan mong you would face a client or someone with crooked eyglasses arms. you would want wider lens too so when you have to roll up your eyes when your crouching close to your tank, you'll still see through the lenses and not the edges of the frame.

i use a CL12 myself. it is good enough... except that it's heavy and i wished it had removeable liners for easy washing and cleaning. well... you can't ecpect too much for a fairly priced helmet. that's why it's cheaper than others.

Kung for reading purposes lang ang gamit mo sa glasses mo, wag mo na isuot. I only use my glasses when reading or infront of my computers, pero kung for riding, ok lang. Malinaw naman.

Pero kung kelangan mo talga isuot glasses mo, sa tingin ko pwede pa rin, Gamit ko KBC fullface, ok naman isuot helmet with.
Pero gaya ng sabi ni Levis, wag mo limot glasses tanggaling bago isuot o tanggalin ang helmet. :D, Likewise based on experience too. :D

i bought my hjs symax in triumph caloocan for 7.3T last year, mdyo mahal compare sa hindi flip-up, pero for me well worth.

nde nko nakukunsumi mgtangal kabit ng glasses ko, lalo na pag naka balaclava (tama ba speling???:D ) naku! hirap isingit ng glasses nun!, pero sa symax no problem.....:)

chek out mo rin post ni ryan, parang 3++T lang ata flip up na. DOT and SNELL approved pa ata.:)

Ang mas-safety na helmet ay yung di flip-up. Meron akong nabasang discussion or article dati. Kapag kasi natumba ka pauna mukha or chin may tendency na a-angat ang flip-up. Unlike yung di flip-up e naka-fixed talaga sa helmet.

Alam ko di SNELL approved ang flip-up dahil nga sa reason na nabanggit ko. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So if not for racing use, in my opininon, DOT approved flip up helmets are ok.
i dont think na pagnauna mukha mo e bubukas yung flip up, cguro pag napakalakas lng ng bagsak and sa baba mo una salpok. by that time bali na leeg mo even standard helmets wont help.

Yes ang alam ko kapag DOT approved na helmet ok at safer, kumpara sa di DOT approved.

Sabagay meron kang magandang point diyan. Aku nga naka open-face helmet lang sa city driving. Ang opinion ko di naman ako nakikipag race at mabagal lang ang takbo ko. Unlike sa Manila kailangan mas-protected ka dahil ang daming mabilis at malalaking bus and trucks. And mabilis ang takbo diyan.

Kapag long distance driving or out na sa city e para sa akin dapat talaga full-face ang helmet. Hopefully di ako madisgrasya dahil kung nagkataon mabubura ang mukha ko dito sa open-face helmet na ito, kapag nauna ang mukha sa pavement.:8

hindi lang yon froi, katakot takot na insekto ang sasalpok sa mukha mo pati talsik ng putik pag naka open face ka sa byahe:D

iyon pa isa convenience ng flip up, anytime pwede ka naka halfface sa byahe, lalo na pag medyo mainit o masarap simoy ng hangin....:)

It's up to you kung anung choice mo at saan ka convenient. Pero IMHO kung sa safety ang usapan e mag-standard helmet nalang ako. Tutal gusto kunarin bili ng full-face. Yung covenience kasi na-sa-sacrifice kasi ang safety. Katulad ko kaya gusto ko open-face helmet dahil di mainit at madaling kabit at alis sa ulo. Kaso di masyadong safe ito.

Meron akong nabalitaan kasi na natumba sa mga sym jet riders dito sa Angeles. Nauna ang baba at yun nayari parin siya. Siguro dahil di fitted or snug fit ang helmet niya. Kung snug fit lang at standard I think di magiging ganun ang result ng accident niya.

Yung putik diko panaman na experienced. Yung insects minsan. Naka sunglass na ako ngayon. Yun ngalang kapag gabi dapat yung parang goggles na ang gamitin na wala ako.:)

ive seen the zeus at shell fort, i dont think its DOT approved..
accdg to the rider who owns one manipis daw and Zeus.. compared sa HJC.. em not sure sa grafix kung meron sila.. but the color white are eye catching... neat and sturdy ang dating nya with matching small fins, serves as air intake...

guys, a thinner helmet doesn't mean it's not safer than the rest. it would all boil down to construction and sturdiness of the shell in case of impacts. Don't think that if a helmet is more expensive than the other it doesn't mean it's safer than the less expensive ones. remember, marketing plays a big part.

The Zeus helmet is DOT approved and if i'm not wrong (pls. correct me if i am) all other modular/flip-up helmets, HJC SYMAX, SHOEI SYNCHROTEC etc.... are DOT only, not SNELL approved.

So for the price of the ZEUS helmet, which is a modular helmet, it is a bargain. Something you could throw around or lug around without worrying that much about scratching or denting it.
