Its nice that we could have compilation of all cyclone owners so we could share info on the pros/cons of this bike. It would also be better if we could organize a ride together, say tagaytay, batangas or even in the north.
Say nyo guys?

Yes, its a third generation Cyclone 200. I bought it as a second bike and since the time i rode it home from the dealer, I've not used my CB 400.
So far so good. No problems to date, even with the original chinese cables. I have seen the second generation and the only difference I noticed is the split rider/passenger seat and the bigger rear wheels on the 3rd gen.
The only adjustment I made so far is on the the clutch. Medyo mataas nung makuha ko, so I adjusted it accordingly.
Let us continue to share our experience with our Cyclones.
Rndz January 3rd, 2005, 05:46 PM I-pro,
After a few months naputol na ung clutch cable ko, kc medyo matigas. so I have to replace them all.... medyo mahal nga lang. pero ok na ung sigurado.....
whats your tire? did you replaced it already or stock parin.....
cons: be sure to check engine bolts every tune up.....
I use an irridium plugs. kaw?
just this december my speedo and tacho broke. so I have to go to haig for the replacement.
I'm planning to replace my clip-on handle bar. to lower it.. any suj?
What engine oil do you use?
How often you change you oil?
Drive Safe and God bless

Rndz,
I'm still using the stock tires, sayang naman, bago pa, makapit at hindi madulas.
I also replaced the plugs with NGK. Nag-improve ang idling at power at gumanda ang sunog ng gas after that. Happy ako sa NGK with my CB 400, but I'm not sure if this will void the warranty on the Cyclone.
I have not changed the oil yet, but I already bought Mobil 1 synthetic. This is the oil I used for my cars and the CB 400.
BTW, what gas do you use for your cyclone? I'm currently using Petron Blaze.
Rndz January 4th, 2005, 01:20 PM I-pro,
My gas? it's Velocity.... I'm happy with it... grabe hatak eh.....
Is your NGK an irriduim one?
I strongly suj: that your change your oil every 800km to 1000km. para tumagal ang makina.
Mobil 1. for car and bike? how come?
Changing plug does not void your waranty.......
I suj: also to check all bolts especially at the engine every change oil or tune up... dont forget the adjustment of your valves.... medyo matrabaho talaga ang china made bike compared to jap one. but you have to, for it to last long.
How's the vibration?
Mods:
Replaced the nut at my pipe with a high stensil one.
Changed my chain with gold one.
changed my sprok. front and rear... for faster set up.(+1,-3)
my tire all still stock but planning to replace them asap. medyo pudpod na eh.
God Bless
bigbird 1 January 4th, 2005, 03:00 PM Hey guys, sa kin I use premium gas from Shell and I use Castrol sysnthetic oil. I also replaced my spark plug to Bosch. Medyo gumanda ang takbo but meron pa rin vibrations when you reached 80-100 kph. I also changed my exhaust manifold ng 2 in 1 as well as the muffler.
Maybe later I will also replace my sprockets and chain para lalo cya bumilis.
Rndz January 4th, 2005, 05:03 PM BB1,
What type of Bosh plugs are your using?
Have you replaced your tire? if yes what size and brand?
Kindly post the class and amount for the pipe that youve change....
Vibrations? They say that its natural for a 200cc single cylinder to vibrate like that. personaly I dont know.....
God Bless
Rndz January 5th, 2005, 07:13 AM Ey,
Since we are all aware that china made bike have this problems with their nuts and bolts.... I have to check and retighten my bolts everytime that I change my oil....
Question: Do we have a remedy for this?

You may be thinking of Loctite. A drip of this on the thread of the bolt will stop it coming loose. It is like a very thin glue that will stop nuts and bolts vibrating loose but will break loose when you use a spanner.

Is it ok on any finish?
Tnx Sir, for your reply

Normal practice is to put it on the screw thread before you tighten the screw. It may work by putting some on after but would not be so effective.
As far as I know it is not the same product as mighty bond and is not such a strong adhesive.
I would keep it away from any areas where it might show or may damage the surface but I honestly don't know if it would harm paint etc. I remember there is a Loctite red and at least one other color but I don't remember what the difference is.

So do you mean that this is a different kind of Loctite. coz we have here in our office a glue called loctite and its like a mighty bond. fast curring strong adhesive...... if its not..

Its a china made bike.
The official distributor is Grandstar Motors & Industrial Corp.
Haig st. MAndaluyong City with tel: 535-3811 / 535-3494 / 532-4263
About the vibration. you have to expect a few..... you must not compare a single cylinder with a four cylinder bike.. talagang medyo may vib ang single....
four cylinders bike, they compensate each other.......
If the vib is too much. then check all nut and bolts specially at the engine....
Just my two cents.
God Bless

bigbird 1 January 10th, 2005, 05:20 PM rndz
I bought my exhaust system from Ace Soriano sa Faraday St. Makati. I bought mine for P6,600 to include 2 in 1 S/S manifold and muffler.
How was the powder coating of your bike? Binaba ba ang engine and other accessories? How much?
I use Bosch Silver for my bike. Nabili ko lang sa Sta Rosa, Laguna. Wala kasi nung iridium dito.
Rndz January 11th, 2005, 08:25 AM Ey guys'
My powder coating is due last wik of this month... la bread eh.....
I've just dismantle my swing arm and everything. not the engine ha.....
My plan is to check and thighten my bolts..... just when I started to thighten the bolts at the engine support... it broke.... I broke two of these.... so have to replace them.... got to the store and found a high stencil black bolt. they say its the best for the application. so I bought it.. and have to replace them all.... it cost me about 20 to 30 pesos each.... then bought a Loctite thead locker.... then i installed them on the secong day after 9 hours of cleaning and repainting and de-greasing.... konting liha liha, konting punas punas.. ayos.... ive installed all my new bolts and to my supprise.. walang naputol kahit ibuhos ko lahat ng lakas ko.......

bigbird 1 January 11th, 2005, 08:39 AM Bro,
It seems to me that you are very knowledgeable in bikes and got plenty of time to spend with your babe. Ako, I only have little time to check for some minor problems after every ride mostly during weekends.
So im sure you can share a lot of info to us when we need to do some work on our bikes.
Thanks and have a safe ride.
whitebear January 12th, 2005, 12:21 PM Sir Rndz,
Grabe Sipag mo! I've never done that with my Cyclone before. Suwerte naman ng Cyclone mo sa'yo. Picture naman dyan!
Sir Bigbird1,
If I were you guys, why not start a new club. A Loncin Cyclone 200 club. The advantage is you'll be able to ride together and share each other's experiences with the bike. Sama ako sa mga rides ha? :)

Kala ko me over 60 members na ang cyclone club, lifan pala yun hehe.
kasi I seldom see the same bike on the road. once pa nga lang ako nakasabay ng parehong cyclone 200 sa may sampaloc.
na-try ko na ipasok sa SLEX ito at according sa kph reading ko, 130 yung naabot ko na speed(cguro kaya pang pigaiin) pero I've seen posts na bka hindi accurate yung reading kaya di ko sure kung ganun nga talaga. try ko ulit pag napalitan na yung gauges ko (defective yung rpm - for replacement - goes wild at around 7thousand rpm, probably due to vibration I think).
trendy08 January 17th, 2005, 12:56 PM sir rndz,
would you recommend na magpalit ng tires? (might be OT for this thread, PM na lang po if you think so)
anyways, thanks.

kasi so far, solo ride pa lang ako papunta dun.
trendy08 January 20th, 2005, 10:25 AM Rndz,
any ideas? anyone?
salamat!!

bro, sounds your battery is not charging well. better check your terminals, baka may loose lang. kung wala, your battery might be damaged so get a replacement.
i think it would be a good idea to go with loncin cyclone club guys. this would help each other on how to troubleshoot the bike and do some modifications. if you do, just post it here, i might consider buying me a loncin cyclone next month.
bigbird 1 January 21st, 2005, 08:04 AM trendy08
I also drive my cyclone with headlights on even during daytime pero wala naman problem. Regarding dun sa ayaw start pag nalamigan, yung sa kin ganyan din dati but the battery is ok. When I went to the service shop of Loncin in Sta. Rosa, they found out that the starter motor is broken. My bike was just two weeks old then. They replaced it with a unit from another bike and ok na cya since then. We should be thankful at least may kickstart bike natin. Alam ko yung mga bigbikes puro electric start lang so pag nagluko battery, tulak sila. he,he.
Kung punta ka viewsite, punta din ako but im from Sta. Rosa na so I guess meet na lang tayo dun or we cud meet at McDonalds sa may Laguna Bel Air (from where I live) the sabay tayo akyat Tagaytay. I just have to leave early coz my shooting competition ako attend at 10AM. :punk:

bro, i was having the same problem with my bike before. i drained it, bought a bottle of water for the battery and fill it in. went to a battery shop and have it charged for 5 hours. that fixed it. if that does not work on yours, you need to change your rectifier.

other cyclone200 owners? wanna meet up?
bigbird 1 January 21st, 2005, 03:05 PM You need to take the SLEX kung gusto mo meet tayo sa McDo near Laguna Bel Air. You have to exit at Sta Rosa, then right turn sa Coke Plant going to Tagaytay. When you pass Toyota Motors and Toyota Autoparts Phils., there is a stoplight. Just after the stoplight is McDo. We could meet at 6.30AM or 6.45AM the latest so we could be in Tagaytay around 7.00AM to 7.15AM.
Regarding shooting competition, It will be at the Special Action Force School ng PNP sa Silang Cavite. We could talk about it when we meet. My CP No. is 0917-822-4998 if you want us to ride together or baka may iba gusto sumabay.

whitebear January 21st, 2005, 10:39 PM Good suggestion! As a former cyclone 200 owner, I would love to see this kinda group formed... O ano guys? What do 'ya think?
Rndz... maybe you can start up this group!
i think it would be a good idea to go with loncin cyclone club guys. this would help each other on how to troubleshoot the bike and do some modifications.
