as per the topic, yung term na MURA eh relative, a 5k helm is considered cheap for someone who buys HJC, ARAI, AGV helmets na can easily cost 10k and above.

kaso same rin recommend ko, Spyder helm, mura yan kaso comfortable at matibay. lam ko yung nasa 2k+ meron ka ng full face na dual visor :D

For full face go for HJC CL22 or Zeus "plain colors"
for half face CL12 or Zeus Php(1600)

Go for Spyder or Zeus brands. they are the cheapest certified helmets. avoid buying fake helmets there is no replacement for our head. :D

Then this afternoon eh bumili me ng Helmet, ang nabili ko eh Index Titan 3 half face worth 1500php ok na ba un? orig nman daw dahil may sticker ng thai na nakasama sa coating ng helmet, mas napamahal pa ako ? di ko kasi alam kung anu ang magandang helmet d2 eh. thanks a lot

kidding aside, i'd go for Zeus helmet if budget is concerned...they've even have a wide range of selection that will surely fit anyone's budget...

another thing....most people would buy a cheap helmet for their backrides...the question is why? kung tutuusin mas delikado nga ang backride in case of accidents....

id go for zeus or spyder for a low cost but quality helmet.1.6k lang ang halfface while fullface is only 2k.sakin yung zeus ko ilang beses ng nabagsak puro galos lang.yung binili ko sa pier, pagbagsak sabog ngkabutas yung helmet. :D

Yung Index ko P1000 ko lang nabili original siya hindi fake. Yung replacement shield sigurado mayroon sa caloocan gusto ko rin bumili yung clear palitan ko yung tinted shield ko.

On a good helmet, upon impact, the EPS foam should absorb most of the impact. But the outer shell may look scratched only. Since the helmet liner covers the EPS, the damage won't look very obvious. That's why its advisable to replace your helmet after an accident. Because if another impact hits the same spot, the EPS may not be able to absorb the force properly and helmet won't be able protect the rider.

I was in a testing lab before and manufacturer showed me how this concept works. Will try to post the video when I have a chance to upload it.

Be careful when choosing supposedly "ECE" or "DOT" approved helmets as certificates can be faked easily. You can find out if a helmet really passed "ECE" is if you can find it sold in Europe (and USA for DOT).

However, l still suggest to be wary of the manufacturer/importer's reputation because while a helmet may use the same shape as their ECE or DOT version helmet, the importer can always ask the manufacturer to use lower grade helmet components so to be able to price their helmets much lower than safely possible (e.g. using a lot of recycled plastic, shell may look same but impact tolerance becomes lower)

Instead of looking for "mura", perhaps its wiser to look for something "sulit" more. :)

FYI index 411 helmets are now icc certified...
Since it has ts (thailand standard) certificate....
On another note, I understand that some GDR helmets have also passed icc standards.

May nakita ako nito sa SM Department Store sa SM North Edsa nasa Mens Accessories section ata.

yup meron nga po dun sa SM north, dun ko rin nakita yung spyder helms dati.

basta sa Men Section ng dept store, sa gitna ata yun.. as for pricing parehas rin ng ibang shop.
