lancer2005 October 3rd, 2009, 11:44 AM price? will it fit on suzuki, yamaha and kawasaki chassis? what about the spare part? what brand are compatible with it? is it hand clutch or auto clutch?
YUMINASHI October 3rd, 2009, 12:10 PM price?
The price is 43.000THB (exclusive the V.A.T. from your country)
will it fit on suzuki, yamaha and kawasaki chassis?
As you can see in the detailed description, it will not fit on Suzuki, Yamaha or Kawasaki Chassis.
what about the spare part?
All spare parts are available.
what brand are compatible with it?
You can take a look for the motorcycle Brands and types that are compatible with the engine below the message.
is it hand clutch or auto clutch?
It have, as it says, a new 6-Disc clutch and at the clutch lever arm you can see that it is a manual clutch (hand clutch).
The clutch is designed for racing use, so that, if you go flat with your bike, you can kickstart the engine at any gear very fast, you don't have to search for the neutral position, just take a gear, pull the clutch lever in and kickstart the engine.
It's the same type of clutch like Takegawa, in that difference that you can't start a Takegawa clutch at any gear and that Takegawa have most of the time a 5-disk clutch while this one is standard a 6-disk clutch.
(Takegawa is also available optional with a 6-disk clutch...)
The engine comes together with with a external oil filter because it have no oil spinner at the crankshaft.

YUMINASHI October 3rd, 2009, 07:49 PM 43,000 Thai Baht = 61,048.9 Philippine Peso
what a rip off... :o
Well..., I don't know if it is such a rip off...
Kitaco sells a 160cc kit, with the 4-valve head, a cylinder with piston and a crankshaft.
The price for that set is 198.450JPY = 103,948.42 Philippine Peso
http://thumbnail.image.rakuten.co.jp/@0_mall/seed/cabinet/b040528/080730307.jpg
I am always willing to inform people, so should I look for you how much a complete 6-Disk Clutch set, a D/C Outer Rotor Ignition kit a 4-speed gear box set a carburetor with manifold set and big oil cooler set cost?...
Then you still have to buy the crankcases and all other small parts of course...
It might be a bood idea to leave it to everybody's own opinion if something is or don't is a rip off or not...
Oh and if you are interested in that 103,948 Peso Kitaco 4-Valve 160cc upgrade kit, this guy give you a nice discount, it only cost you 180.000JPY or 94,353 Philippine Peso for that cylinderkit with head and crankshaft then: http://item.rakuten.co.jp/seed/080730307/
YUMINASHI October 4th, 2009, 09:08 AM 60,000.00+ pesos add 12% VAT?
correct me po if I am wrong
Good to know na meron neto hehehe mukang maganda siya d ka na bibili ng 150cc na mc hehehe
No you are not wrong and in Europe they have to pay 21% on top of those 60,000.00 pesos...
If this engine is to expensive for you, then please take the 170cc 2-Valve engine then...
The price quotation from this one is 32.650THB or 45,853.29 Philippine pesos.
It's about the same engine, but it don't have the same bore and stroke and it don't have the 4-Valve head with the Nicasil cylinder.
It's a 2-Valve 170cc with alloy cylinder and metal sleeve.
I give you the details:

It fit's also on all the bikes who can install a Wave110 engine...
YUMINASHI October 4th, 2009, 10:41 AM is it fit on EM-100?
Well, it's dangerous to say someting about this because at first sight, it might fit, but we never tried this before so we can't confirm this for sure...
That's also the case with the new 2009 models from the Wave110.
At first sight you would think that it fit, but from this one we know for sure that it don't fit.
(All Wave110 models before 2009 are fine to install, no problem)
We also know that it work on the Lifan and other Wave100 or 110 based bikes from China...
If you want to know if it would fit on your EM100, then take 2 empty crankcases from a Wave100 or 110 and see if you can bolt these two empty crankcases in to your bike.
If this is the case, then you can bolt in the YUMINASHI 170cc, 172cc or 183cc engine in your bike for sure...
Wills_McLaren October 4th, 2009, 10:52 AM The price is good for a complete engine set.

YUMINASHI October 6th, 2009, 05:54 PM will it be ok to use this in a daily basis?
Yes, no problem...
fallado October 6th, 2009, 07:54 PM up for this engine.....can't wait to see this in our race track....
ruisse.23 October 6th, 2009, 11:18 PM I like the engine. Knowing its good for everyday use.
So from what I understand, this doesn't have an electric starter, based on the picture shown, right?
And, you will need to have your engine number changed on the registration certificate?
Last thing is, how many kilometers it can go on a liter?
Mode of payment? PM please.
EMOhurtz October 7th, 2009, 08:23 PM im just really kind of confused... the way i look at it, it really looks like a KSR engine... but it doesnt fit on a kawasaki??? is the photo just a reference photo or its the same engine that you are talking about?
and another thing. on the engine specs it says, KSR model. but again it doesnt fit on a KSR/kawasaki?
im sorry it just really confuses me... i know some kawasaki owners here looking into this... so i hope there is a clear explanation. :)
YUMINASHI October 7th, 2009, 10:36 PM im just really kind of confused... the way i look at it, it really looks like a KSR engine... but it doesnt fit on a kawasaki??? is the photo just a reference photo or its the same engine that you are talking about?

Well, did you take a good look already to the crankcases from a KSR how it looks like?... :-)
I agree that if you look to the cylinderhead and to the cylinder, that this could give a reason to be confused.
But if you look to the crankcase from the KSR like on this picture here and to the crankcases from the YUMINASHI engines, then I think that it's clear that we can't talk about the same engine and/or that it perhaps should fit in a frame from a KSR.
http://www.crf50shop.com/images/410-KLX-1200_A_Large.jpg?osCsid=880fc8
If you look to the crankcases from a Honda Nice110 or Honda Wave110 like the picture below, then you see right away that the YUMINASHI engines are actually made based on that type of engine and not on the KSR, so that these YUMINASHI engines will fit in all frames that can have a Wave110 or Nice110 engine...
http://www.monkey-biker.net/shop/images/uploads/Honda%20Nice%20New.jpg
So is this YUMINASHI engine a Honda engine?... No it's not...
Is this engines a KAWASAKI engine then?... Same answer, no it's not.
It's a mix of both actually...
The bottom part is Honda Wave110 and what is special that is taht the crankcases are made a little bit wider at the base from the cylinder so that the base who is wider from the KSR can fit on these modified Honda Wave110 crankcases who would be original from Honda to small, it never would fit...
If you take a good look to the picture from the YUMINASHI 170cc engine below, then you can see between the ignition and the base from the cylinder that wider piece over there at the crankcase that isn't normally there with a Honda Wave.
http://us.my.alibaba.com/img/product/10/72/87/77/107287779.jpg?1253529136000
And the cylinder and cylinderhead from that engine, will it fit on a KSR?...
Sure it will!
The cylinder, the piston, the gaskets, the cylinderhead you can bolt on everything on a original KSR, only with the YUMINASHI engine, they have modified the angle on the head where you screw the manifold on so that it would fit with a Honda manifold and not with a Kawasaki manifold.
Because of the strange shape from the kawasaki crankcases, the manifold from the KSR makes some strange curves to fit with that strange shape of crankcases.
So with a KSR you need to install the manifold not horizontal on the head, but on a angle.
Also the exhaust from a Honda is a bit different, so that this also have been modified to fit with a honda Exhaust, and not with a Kawasaki.
So the photo that you see, is a real photo from a real engine that looks like like it is and how you will receive it to install on your bike.
It's just a mix from both, 50% HONDA based and 50% KSR based...
I hope that this small explanation could shine a clear light on the technical details from this engine so that the people who are confused have a better idea from how it's made...
Greetings,
Reggy

fade2blck October 27th, 2009, 12:35 PM given that the cylinder and the cylinder head would fit on original KSR, and i have a kawasaki aura, would it be possible if its just the cylinder and cylinder head (with 4 valves) that i would order? how much would it be?
it includes all part of the cylinder head right? (rocker arm, camshaft, etc.)
please avise the price of the above and the mode of payment.
thanks!
ruisse.23 November 18th, 2009, 04:56 PM Any updates? Or anyone who already purchased this engine?

Its an import paps. When the engine arrives, you'll be the one to install it. Or, get a good mechanic who can install it. If you have the same engine hanger/chassis on your XRM125DS and the XRM110, it should fit I think...Backread will help.
