The american dream which alot takes for granted.

Generally when we say American, what comes to mind is them white people.

Im not white but im AMerican and a proud one too.

Some of you who posted may know what i mean and my statement does not mean i disown my Filipino Heritage.
It just puts me and others in advantage and awareness of what America has to give and offer.

And its a disgust when others talk trash of America when they themselves has benefited in AMerica and yet they are not AMerican.

Tama ka bro... as an American Citizen myself, and having lived in California for most of my life, I shared the same sentiment with you.. America has been taken for granted for long.. People hate Americans for most part of the world especially in some Arab countries and Communist Europe, even in some part of the Philippines where NPAs are in active operations, Americans are not welcome.. Abu Sayaf would love to capture an American as a prized throphy for ransom money, or cut an American head to make a statement...

America is still the American dream... where people have mutual respect without discrimination.. where courtesy is at its real meaning.. where the gross national product is at its decent level inspite of bad economy.. everybody can afford to have decent meals, clothing and shelter without bothering no one but government..

I am proud to say that I was part of that American dream.. I witnessed clean and honest elections for the last 26 years.. I saw elected people in government who did their job with pride and dignity to fulfill their mandate.. Corruption is not in the vocabulary.. Even a popular President, Senator, Congressman as the case maybe has to step down, quit their job most of the time when their integrity are being questioned or their names are tainted with controversy.. They just cannot violate the public trust.. No one is above the law..

I love America, proud to be an American... I owe my allegiance to the American flag... But the time has come for me to rekindle my Philippine blood... Afterall, I am still a Filipino sa isip.. salita... at gawa.. So I'm coming home shortly to stay for good and spend my hard earned American dollars in Philippine pesos,.. No problem brader.. I respect your opinion and observation,.. I have to admit there is always a bad egg in every basket.. With all due respect sir, I have to say that based on own experience working in a governmental environment and serving several elected officials in my career, I can attest to the high level of public service and dedication those people are providing.. Corruption is totally nil if not very minimal... Yes, there may be some bad eggs but they are not big enough to contaminate the rest or even create a minor dent.. Corruption is not a culture and never will be I would guess... I doubt if anyone would ever try to bribe a judge, or a Police officer, or any public servant.. I could surely predict that if it happens, somebody will go straight to the jail.. With regards to discrimination, I could say I live in a community where I am the only Filipino and the rest are mostly whites, latins, or native american.. I've been living in the same house, the same place for the last 20 years and I could not recall a single moment or any incident that I feel discriminated... Everybody treats each other with mutual respect without regards to creed, religious belief, age, gender, culture or color of the skin...

Why am I going back to the Philippines for good?.. It's just a simple math.. "For every $1 dollar I earned, I am allowed to spend P48 pesos worth of Philippine goods and services"... As I said, the time has come for me to rekindle my Filipino blood.. the time has come for me to afford a private driver, maid, and a comfortable rocking chair and good cigar while watching the sunset from a sea front house along the beach of Quezon.. And mind you, I may also find that Miss Right who will stay with me and help me spend those US dollars in Philippine soil.. right?;)

pag kukuha ka pala ng M1 license dito you either have to go to riding school or take some test at the DMV...pero mas maganda sa school kasi you just have to complete the desired hours madali lang di tulad sa DMV strict sila.
