Task Force Pride (TFP), the official organizer of the Pride Season invites you to take part in this year's celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) pride. TFP is composed of several LGBT organizations and numerous individuals who endeavor to bring together a diverse community for a common cause. Since the 90’s, LGBTs in the Philippines have been organizing various events to promote positive LGBT visibility and pride.
On 11 December 2004, we will hold the Annual LGBT Pride March along the streets of Quezon CIty the theme: “Assert. Defend. Build.”, we wish to highlight the importance of asserting equal rights, defending human dignity and building a united yet diverse community. As one community, we call on our family, friends and fellow Filipinos to recognize that we share the same causes and concerns and are all part of a bigger community we call society.
In this light, we would like to invite your organization/establishment to be join us in the Pride March. For your convenience, please note that participants will assemble by 3p.m. at thr 14th Street, which is near the corner of Gilmore and E. Rodriguez Avenues. From there, we will march going towards Tomas Morato Avenue and end at the Boy Scout Rotonda (Timog – Morato intersection), where a simple program will follow.
An orientation will also happen on 6 December (Monday), 6p.m. at the Akbayan office located at #101 Matahimik St. Teacher’s Village Quezon City (near Eunilaine Supermarket). For further inquiries, you may text or call 0917 627.2074
