for me bro, full face helmet kasi mas safe ang feeling ko and there will be no problem using it for long rides :) this is jst my opinion though
Wolver888 November 23rd, 2004, 08:58 AM Everyday city ride : halfface helmet.
Long ride : fullface helmet. :)
Radical! November 23rd, 2004, 08:58 AM Full face. If you have the extra cash, buy both so you have an alternative... :)
Jumbing November 23rd, 2004, 10:53 AM My Zeus helmet can either be full or half face. I prefer full face kasi on more than one occassion, I experienced little stones hitting the visor of my full face helmet. Imagine what those stones could have done to my glasses or my face if I had my helmet in the half face option.
levis November 23rd, 2004, 11:19 AM Full face. If you have the extra cash, buy both so you have an alternative... :)
Or if you currently have budget for only one helmet, you could always get a modular (flip-up) helmet like the ZEUS 508w.
As for me I use a half-face with full visor helmet for my day-to-day riding, when going out of manila, I use my full face helmet :D
padyak November 23rd, 2004, 11:46 AM halface... pag uulan fullface. sakit sa mata eh. :O
scooter123 November 23rd, 2004, 01:33 PM half helmet: short distance city driving
half helmet w/ shield: city driving
full face: long rides
sinski_toybikes November 25th, 2004, 10:10 AM generaly half-face for me is more confortable i supposed, but i prefer full face for it will protect you from dust and specially when you had an accident like if you fall and roll at least your face wont have scars just an opinion.mahirap na coz when accident comes it will hit you like lightning strike and you wouldnt know what will hit yah. :C
elgatonegro November 26th, 2004, 11:02 AM City ride : Half-face helmet. (tama lang)
Long ride : Full-face helmet. (give you a better protection)
r_castanas November 26th, 2004, 11:12 AM in my own opinion, mas maganda naka full face ka kahit short distance lang, kung meron na nga ng katulad ng sa F1 na me kasamang neckbrace, (well, siguro t'was not advisable sa riders kasi kahit sa motogp wala pa nun) but then kung meron ngang mas safe kesa sa kung ano ung meron tayo ( i mean the latest model) ngayon un ang dapat nating gamitin. remember, mas bentahe sa semplang ang full face, kung naka half face ka kasi baka buo nga ulo mo basag naman jaw mo! hehehe.. at worst, kung me dedo ka man sa semplang mo at naka full face ka... at least sa lamay mo makikita sa kabaong na maayos mukha mo! hehehe..
I VOTE FOR FULL FACE HELMET!
gabby November 27th, 2004, 06:25 PM i like the full-face better, it makes me feel anonymous. hehe. although sometimes, especially in the evening tinataas ko yung visor, ang sarap kasi ng hangin eh.
edit:
Wolver888 November 27th, 2004, 07:42 PM i like the full-face better, it makes me feel anonymous..............
Biruan dito sa amin, kung may night clubs na gusto nila na i-motorcade namin at bibigyan kami ng tig isang backride na girls by the owner while doing the motorcade ..... magfufullface helmet kamit para hindi makita mukha namin sa kodakan sa kalsada. :D :O :D
black snow November 28th, 2004, 04:52 AM full face for me...
imagine my impact... from the jaw to the forehead...
kung naka half face ako that time.. could you imagine?!?!? ... whoaaaaa!!!
aray ko po... :{
buti na lang long or short ride.. full face gamit ko...
coleman November 29th, 2004, 02:22 PM Zeus Helmets makabili k n ng dalawa kapag may 4k budget. So you can have both full and half face.
Android November 30th, 2004, 12:49 AM I ride my Shark150 about 100 km every day during school days. I get to feel the whole traffic scenario everyday. From highly congested (Alabang-Zapote Road) to the highly addictive (Daang Hari). I always use a full-face helmet.
For highly congested Pros and Cons.
Pro: 1) Less dirt on face. (Especially bus passengers spitting)
2) Anonymity (Great for female riders.) (Kinda intimidating ang dating)
Con: 1) Hella HOT!
2) Slightly reduced hearing. (Especially while filtering)
3) Did I mention its HOT!?
For the highly addictive portion of my ride.
Pro: 1) Great Protection (From wind, pebbles, and noise)
2) Good vision (Less squinting, and less head vibration due to aerodynamic shape)
3) Great Protection (Sorry... had to say this twice. Its that important)
Con: 1) Umm...? (Can't think of one...)
My final word... Full-face all the time.
My comment about the Security guard with a bazooka... Same answer to why carry a condom everyday. "Its better to have one and not need it, than to need one and NOT have it"
derfoj November 30th, 2004, 03:54 PM FULL FACE EVERYTIME!!!
"Nawa'y Patnubayan Tayo ng MAYKAPAL sa Ating Paglalakbay."
rastaman November 30th, 2004, 11:58 PM sakin open face w/ goggles..pra may option na tangalin kung malapit lng destination.. :)
trendy08 December 8th, 2004, 08:35 PM same as the answers above...
half face with full shield for city
full face for long rides
alternate between the two in the city is good. :)
Love2 December 10th, 2004, 03:47 AM for me bro, full face helmet kasi mas safe ang feeling ko and there will be no problem using it for long rides :) this is jst my opinion though
FULL FACE ! ! ! :R
beta675 December 10th, 2004, 09:17 AM ....Full face syempre, mahirap ang laging naglilinis ng butas ng ilong.... :O
R-1 December 10th, 2004, 11:39 AM mahirap ang laging naglilinis ng butas... ha ha ha ok;
obviously a full face helmet will protect better than open face, but sometimes the heat is just too much :W
too much heat can dull your reflexes already.
a fellow rider has advised against flip up helmets like zeus.
i can see his point because the lower part of a flip up helmet just 'clicks' into place and is not solidly or ridgidly attatched to the rest of the helmet.
Has anyone heard of accidents while flip ups were used and did it protect the rider like a full face?
chosen1 December 26th, 2004, 05:31 PM full face! :) just got my first helmet last 23 sa action hobbies. mat black zeus 990 with iridium tint. nice!!!! :C
black snow December 27th, 2004, 11:58 AM full face for ma all the time!!!
nikolai December 29th, 2004, 02:19 AM Full face. Sailed over the bars and hit the pavement face-down. Glad I was wearing one... now I wouldn't consider anything less.
Hardliner December 29th, 2004, 05:09 PM mahirap ang laging naglilinis ng butas... ha ha ha ok;

bro r1, there's a review made on flip-ups and the author experienced a crash during the review of the zeus flip-up and nice to say that the flip-up did not open during the accident...a real good review. just go to the thread where the topic is all about wearing glasses http://motorcyclephilippines.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19185 there's a link here for the site.
camilledg127 March 14th, 2005, 11:45 PM FULL FACE for me. You can't choose the kind of crash you will have.
DawnRipper March 15th, 2005, 06:23 AM full face; may thrill before mong tangalin yung iba nakatingin habang tinatangal mo yung helmet mo, tinitignan yung cute ka hehehe. tsaka mas maporma na mas safe pa.
Bashful March 15th, 2005, 08:59 AM Yep that's right, you can choose your speed and riding discipline but you can't choose the way you crash. Helmet marketing specifications would always mention and present Half Face Helmets for daily city driving use and Full Face Helmets for out of town and distant trips use. But if you ask me, I'd rather wear a full face helmet to ensure my safety on both short and long distance riding, whether riding in high or low speeds.
The Zeus Flip-Up Helmet as mentioned by Hardliner i suggest is the most practical choice, you get to get best of both specs in one helmet.
At least you can choose if you want to bring home a sample of the pavement with your face or not. (hehehe)
Hope this helps, safety first guys.
dexterlab March 15th, 2005, 09:58 AM FULL FACE!!
