View Full Version : Caberg Helmet Users
msg July 5th, 2009, 04:46 PM http://www.icasque.com/images/accessoires/visiere/ecran-rhyno-s3.jpg
Hi guys, since there is a thread for HJC users, I decided to create a Caberg thread, though I know there is a Motoworld thread already in the sponsors section, I want to hear from Caberg users about this product.
Because I went at Motoworld just today and I tried all their helmets except the Zeus ones ( I gave up on Zeus last year when I started riding a scooter because they wont fit my head, even the xxxL :O ), I tried KBC and Caberg and to my surprise only the Caberg ones fit my head :O. KBC I think has the same fitting as Zeus if not smaller.
Feedback naman guys about Caberg helmets, especially the Caberg Rhyno. I have some apprehensions because I initially do not like modular helmets but I fell in love with it's shape and visor. The only thing that is stopping me from buying it is my budget, 8000 php for a daily helmet is too much for me. But then again, I love the way it looks, so in the end I might get one.
So Caberg users, feed back naman. I know Motoworld gives a 6 month warranty and a promo is on going today till August 31, 2009, installment plan if you use BDO or HSBC credit cards. No I am not in anyway connected with Motoworld, i just want to get one but I need some real people review and feedback first because 8000 pesos is still 8000 pesos.
Thanks in Advance guys!
politipot July 5th, 2009, 05:17 PM same inquiry...i like the caberg rhyno matt
sgoTogs July 5th, 2009, 05:40 PM Caberg Rhyno user here (metallic silver).
Pros:
- ganda ng porma
- fits right to my head
- light on your head
- liked the visor, clear look even on night rides
- wide view (feels, seems)
- nice air vents that make it cool during rides
Cons:
- pricey
- bit noisy (whistling sound) during fast rides
- mainit sa mata ng magnanakaw (never leave in your bike)
s.h.a.r.p. July 5th, 2009, 05:49 PM Caberg Rhyno user din (Matte Black)
I agree to everything that sir sgoTogs mentioned, one thing that I don't like about it though is that the locks on the strap get rusty in time... Not sure if they made improvements on the ones that were just recently released especially those one's with the new colors
Love the color of the one you posted TS, Very Nice!
msg July 5th, 2009, 07:04 PM Uy thanks sa mga replies! :D
Sharp - Ganda nga ng color but too bad, that color is not available locally. if ever I will buy a Caberg Rhyno, I'm good with the white one. Looks like the helmet of Stig in Top Gear or a Storm Trooper in Star Wars
Other Caberg users, kindly post your experience with Caberg products so that us would be buyers will have first hand information about the products.
I also like the Caberg full face helmet which has the red demon graphics, cool helmet. But its already phased out by Motoworld and I think they wont bring it back. Too bad, I really like the graphics. I found out that in the UK they have the v2 in demon graphics.

The full face Caberg helmets that retails for 6000 pesos, the Caberg V2 , any comments on this model?
TIA. :)

here are the caberg's that i have. not quite like my shoei or arai but pretty decent for the price. had these for more than a year but its still almost brand new. comfort, noise control, style and durability all get a solid A from me. plus if you happen to mess up the visors, replacements are very easy to get in motoworld.
msg July 5th, 2009, 07:39 PM Some Caberg Rhyno users said that the visors peel off when used in the rain, is this issue with the visor peeling resolved?
I mean some say do not use the helmet when its raining but what if I went out using the helmet and the sun is all shinning. Then when its time to go home, in the middle of Edsa it rains. :O
I hope they resolved that issue because I dont want to bring back my helmet to the Motoworld dealer every time my my visor peels. :O
At all in one sya na helmet, no need to bring sunglasses always.

I think normal lang nag momoist kapag naulan, even my HJC helmet has moist build up when it rains. And oh yun sun visor nya na nakatago, ganda hehe :)
Guys san ba gawa Caberg? :?
unclebob July 5th, 2009, 09:15 PM Mine is a Caberg V2R Matte Black. This saved my head and face from getting cracked and battered when I had a not so nasty spill in Nueva Ecija.
I had to replace the visor though and was fortunate that a shop in Trinoma had one last piece on stock.
Yup, the Caberg is light.

caberg v2r gara:
aerodynamics: 3
lateral stability: no side-to-side buffeting at all speeds
longitudinal stability: mild... little neck strain at speed
head check stability: turning the head above 150kph is not recommended...
airflow: 3
venting: chin vent are useless at slow speed but flows a small amount of air at higher speeds... top vents and exhaust flow a moderate amount of air above 50kph...
noise: 1
frequency: very annoying high frequency noise starts at 50kph
earplugs required?: yes or tape up the vents
* the high frequency noise can be minimized by taping up the 2 little exhaust vents at the top/rear of the helmet at the cost of airflow...
caberg rhyno/trip:
aerodynamics: 1
lateral stability: moderate side-to-side buffeting above 100kph... severe side-to-side buffeting above 150kph
longitudinal stability: mild...
head check stability: turning the head above 150kph is not recommended...
airflow: 1
venting: only chinbar vents... very hot...
noise: 5
frequency: quiet
earplugs required?: no

F A S T July 6th, 2009, 03:36 PM Taken as a whole, it’s all right. I’ve been using my Caberg Rhyno for more than a year now on a daily basis. So far, only the flaking n the visor needs to be resolved. Everything else is perfect. I really wouldn’t mind getting a new one. :)

the helmet has a six month warranty but after that and the visor flakes, paano na kaya? :)
Its the visor issue that is holding me back in getting a Rhyno. :o

Yeah. Had the flakes n the 8th month:pissed:. It might be a one point weakness on a hundred point advantages. Don’t hold back Brother. As what others pointed out, it has praiseworthy characteristics.:)

(graphics) mahirap linisin yung white part.. matte finish kasi.
medyo hassle dahil need mo pa dalhin dahil di pede iwan sa bike (ehehe...)

Sintesi will probably be officially available before the end of the year as it will just be launched in Europe.
We may not bring in the Downtown Reverso because extra chin part is actually just an extra cover during winters and not for impact protection but at a much higher price.
Thanks for your suggestions!

leother July 10th, 2009, 04:25 PM just got a black rhyno, peeling in the visor is pretty alarming, should have read this thread before..... this is my second helmet, the other one is a caberg rodeo, so nice, weight is superb, excellent comfortability and more especially the double visor technology is very useful.
Hope the peeling won't happen to me.... friendly advise also, do not use soap or any detergent in washing the lens, this will remove the anti-fog skin or something that prevents it from moisting.

msg July 12th, 2009, 12:15 PM Kung glossy ang paing ng helmet mo, you can try regular wax. I wax my helmet once a month to help preserve the paint.
Rubbing compound is abraisive to the paint meaning para mo sinand paper ang pintura kapag inapply mo yun. Regular wax will do. :D

Wala kaya issue sa visor to na mag peel kapag nababasa sa ulan? though the Rhyno is still the more eye candy for me, eh mas mura kasi tong V2r and maganda fitting nya. :L If only the Demon Racer graphics would be released here. I guess we need to settle with the vibe graphics instead.
